    Espresso Martini

We came in yesterday to stop by first time in. A bit weird to do reservations for the bar but we didn't wait at all. It was very quaint. We sat outside so I'll have to come back and update when I come and sit inside. Our espresso martinis would absolutely to die for. It was happy hour when we were in so we did a dozen of the house oysters they were absolutely divine. I want to come back and try a few more things on the menu and give a more thorough review. Try some wines some other food that sort of things. Bartenders were very very nice. I feel bad for not remembering their names.

Had a wonderfully delicious Christmas Eve dinner at Nico! We sat at the bar inside that overlooked the kitchen. It was cool to see the experts in action! I felt like I was in an episode of "The Bear" because the chefs actually say "Hands!" when a dish is ready to be delivered to a table (zero drama like "The Bear" though! The staff were pleasant and professional) I enjoyed fresh oysters, the Bouillabaisse, and Creme Brûlée. I love it all and recommend!

We had another excellent dining experience at Nico recently and appreciate having such a great restaurant in Mt. Pleasant. We visited especially for their softshell crab special and it was amazing. With the nice spring weather we sat on the patio, and had consistent friendly service by Kallie. The gimlet cocktail was refreshing and perfect for the experience. A visit to Nico requires an order of their wonderful oysters, then we also had an order of mussels. YUM! But the best part of dinner was their softshell crab entree, a perfectly fried softie on a bed of succotash. This was one of the best softies we had this season. With a few more gimlets we made it through this seafood feast. Then we ended with their baked Alaska and espresso martinis. Dining at Nico is always a pleasure and they delivered a memorable softshell for this season. Thank you!

Visited Nico for my birthday celebration on a Wednesday, and I wasn't very impressed. The seafood is the best thing about this restaurant! The oysters were fantastic, and so was the shrimp cocktail! The drinks were also good, but took a while to be delivered. The service, in general, left much to be desired. We sat outdoors but were largely ignored. I've also never been to a restaurant for my birthday that didn't show me a dessert menu. All in all, if you are only interested in good seafood, definitely visit Nico, but I would skip it if you are having a special occasion.

Was in Charleston for business on a Saturday evening and stumbled on Nico. Had no plans and no reservation but the staff made me feel welcome. My meal was excellent and I will return in the future.

Came here tonight to celebrate my moms birthday and the food was delicious! We also got some oysters on the half shell, and they are 1/2 priced on Mondays! I ordered the fillet medallions and it was good, but I felt like there was something missing. The service was also great and it was a surprisingly busy night.

Nice place near charleston. Ambiance is very nice, open kitchen. Seating was comfortable. Came here with a table of 8. Started with some raw oysters. The waiter was excellent, made great recommendations. The oysters were fresh and delicious. Drinks were good and strong. I ordered the bouillabaisse which was flavorful, light a d delish. We ended our dessert with Baked Alaska flamed at our table.

Saw this restaurant on Yelp when we were visiting the area and my bf and I decided to give it a try for dinner. As advised by other Yelpers, we made a reservation ahead of time (same day just in the morning). I guess parking in the area is a little weird but we Ubered there so we didn't deal with that issue. When we got there we were disappointed that our reservation was for outside but whatever it is what it is. At least the weather wasn't bad! To eat we shared some oysters to start and then we got the mussels and octopus. Octopus was good, mussels were FANTASTIC! We were fighting over who would get the last spoonfuls of the sauce. For my entree I ordered the chicken cordon bleu. I enjoyed it. Our server was very nice and attentive as well. We enjoyed our dinner here and would come back if we were in the area again!

Great oyster happy hour and delicious small plates. The brownie dessert with house made ice cream was a perfect ending to our meal. Emily was a fantastic server and guided us to the perfect amount of plates and wonderful suggestions. Thank you Emily.

The food is always a 10/10, the cocktails are great and they have a wine list with plenty of options. The service is always just...smart, they know their timing, they know the menu, they know how to make recommendations. And very hospitable. Have only eaten on the patio and love it every time!

We visit Charleston fairly regularly, and Nico is one of our favorite go-to spots. The restaurant tends to be crowded, but we've always been able to grab a reservation and the service never suffers! They are friendly, quick to take orders, and knowledgeable about the dishes. The food is always so fresh and flavorful. Everything we've ever had there was delicious, but we always order oysters and tuna tartare. If you can, go on Mondays for 1/2 off oysters! Better yet, pair it with their happy hour (Mon-Fri from 4-6) for $6 house beer, well drinks, and house wine!

Popped in for brunch will exploring Shem Creek and very glad we did. Emily our server was very welcoming and hospitable. Loved her! The potato caviar was insane, legit wipe the plate clean worthy! Holy hell. The local shrimp cocktail was on point. So fresh! Use that habanero hot sauce with the cocktail sauce for that really nice punch. We got the catch of the day with the red wine burgundy butter. Omfg drench me in the sauce. The burgundy mushrooms with the best duo for that dish. Wow! Seriously this place is for seafoodies.

Ask for an outside table and no sooner did we sit down, the dolphins showed up!!! Who knew they would be so active in the middle of a busy waterway? As a former boat owner, I love watching those huge honkin' boats parallel park in between the baby ones. I'll start with the positives. Our server was fantastic. She was personable, attentive, and did a great job throughout our meal. As for the food, it was just okay. I ordered the fish tacos, and unfortunately the mahi was overcooked and very dry. They also came absolutely covered in sour cream. I was expecting a light drizzle, but there was so much that I only managed a few bites before I couldn't finish them. My friend ordered the Cuban and absolutely loved it. He cleaned his plate, so it seems the food can be a bit hit or miss. The biggest downside, though, had nothing to do with the food. There was some type of political or civic meeting taking place in the main dining room. I'm not exactly sure if the speaker was running for mayor or another office, but it wasn't in a private room. It was out in the open where everyone dining had to listen. I don't think it's appropriate to hold an event like that in the middle of a restaurant during regular service regardless of your political affiliation. Some of the things being discussed made me genuinely uncomfortable, and even my male friend commented on it. If the restaurant wants to host political events, I think they should either use a private space or close the restaurant to the general public during the event. The views and service were great, but the atmosphere that day was overshadowed by the speaker, and unfortunately that's what I'll remember most about my visit.
