What a novel idea to create a restaurant filled with pictures of lost dogs! This is a pretty busy place. They have an outside dining area and an inside dining area, and bar seating as well. TIP: You don't have to wait for a table if you sit at the bar. We just finished our walk down Folly Beach, and we were looking for a quick bite to eat. I ordered the vegetable quiche. Yes, this is my THIRD review for this spot but honestly, they deserve all the praise they can raise, and they do raise it! The experience begins with quick seating even for larger groups, an attentive waiter who knows exactly how to create a comfortable atmosphere without being too-often present, and food that is perfect for breakfast or lunch at the beach--not too heavy but oh so flavorful. Best breakfast on Folly Terrific, full stop. The food was excellent, the service was fast and competent (a rarer combo than you'd think), and the coffee was hands-down the best of our entire trip. I'd come back for the iced coffee alone. One note of confusion: the mimosa tasted... weird? Then we realized it's because they use actual orange juice instead of the neon sugar concentrate we've apparently been trained on. So less a complaint, more a diagnosis of our own broken palates. Came here on an unseasonably hot Saturday. The wait was about 30 minutes. Had high expectations given the long wait. Unfortunately, the food was a let down. It was average to below average. The fruit parfait was good, with tons of fruits. The breakfast burrito was not good with overcooked peppers and extremely bland. The southern BLT was also disappointing with soggy fried green tomato (the crust fell off as soon as you bit into it). My husband and I went to lost dog cafe for breakfast on a weekend morning. We went early about 7:30-8. There was a wait but we got in pretty quickly . There's a cute little courtyard area around the restaurant and the restaurant itself is very cute and kitschy. I got the corned beef hash which was delicious. I had the best iced coffee i've maybe ever had from lost dog! This place is popular for a reason. I like that we can order a coffee from the coffee bar and enjoy it while waiting for a table. I came with a group of 7 and they do not take reservations before hand, just walk ups so expect a long line when you arrived. Grab a drink at the bar until they call you. Took myself here on a solo date and the food did not disappoint! This might be one of my favorite/the best she crab soups I've had in Charleston. The Caesar wrap was delicious as well, but I recommend adding chicken to it because I did not. The ambience is very friendly and cozy--I loved all the pictures of dogs lol. We got here a little after 9 and the inside was completely full so we sat outside on the deck which was nice! When we were on our way out there was a line out the door and numerous parties waiting. I ordered a coffee and the breakfast burrito. Both were delicious. I felt that the prices were reasonable but you'll see on the menu they up charge for just about everything ($2 to split the plate, fee for bagging items to go, adding protein, etc). All of the employees we interacted with were not directly impolite, but they were clearly not happy about being there, which was a mismatch for our other dining experiences in Folly Beach. Also, I think if you're going to take liberties with a cinnamon roll and make it out of croissant dough, the menu or your server should say that when you ask for more information. On a recent trip we had a late breakfast outside and it was a very positive experience! Our server was pretty efficient and even when it started getting bus she would have another runner/sever refill our drinks. Our food came out fast, fresh hot, and was all very delicious! My wife had the eggs Benedict, but got the fried tomatoes on the side - she loved it! We shared some things based off of reviews, the cinnamon roll is in fact incredible and the sausage gravy biscuit is super savory and flavorful! I had eggs, sausage, and grits that were excellent.
