LOVED Bodegas F Rubio! It has been on my list of places to visit. TBH the thing that motivated me to come was the elephant shaped cheese boards and believe me they did not disappoint. I made reservations via email super easy! The drive in is also very accessible and GPS takes you straight to it, it is on a long dirt road so don't be scared lol the service is super nice and friendly, the view is beautiful and it just gives such a peaceful vibe. It was not too busy when we were here. I got the Italian wine tasting which was soo good i loved the wine! Their selections of red wine was very scuttle and tasty not overwhelming which i loved And the cheeseboard was delicious I loved the selection! The tasting include and individual cheese board that is definitely more than enough to share. My friend got the regular tasting and also enjoyed it! In the future I want to come back and try their food! It smelled delicious!

They are creative with the menu. The quesotacos were my favorite but the shrimp ceviche and Sofia Pizza were a close second. Service is great and the wine is yummy!

We got the desgustacion completo which is wine tasting of a white, blush and 3 red wines. This winery is family owned so when they pour the wine, they give you a backstory to each wine bottle, the meaning of the description to the wine bottle's photo, the flavors you may encounter in each cup. Very nice and humble place.

This was one of my favorite wineries on the ruta! The food was fresh, & delicious. The perfect variety of wine were unique and distinctive. We enjoyed a great meal with a beautiful view... Then we walked out with a case of wine!

Love this place! Its open after 5 when all the other vineyards close. Wine, service & food are EXCELLENT. The views are amazing, Cesar is the best host. Now all they need are rooms to stay the night....

I was thrilled to see an email on Saturday saying we were welcome for the 2nd tasting of the day and then filled with panic as I saw when it was sent, didn't have service and that time was quickly approaching. Thankfully i got wifi, replied that we would love to be there, got a reply saying we were good to go and off we went. I will thank our luck a large amount on the weather as many people cancelled due to pouring rain and flooded roads. The roads are rough, especially in the rain so a larger vehicle or a tour driver would definitely be beneficial but we made it happen. Upon arrival we were greeted with hugs, conversation, drinks and blankets and it honestly felt like we just showed up to the home of a family member. With the weather, it ended up just being the two of us and another couple who drove out for the day and previously was married at the vineyard which made for the most intimate afternoon tasting. My fiancé (oh that's still weird to say haha) is not really a wine drinker and I don't usually drinks reds but we both loved all 3 years of the tasting and the tapas that come with each were so delicious. One of the pairings was a taco with meat that I don't eat so I gave it to him and was more than thankful when Hilda noticed and asked her team to make a potato taco for me to take part. With the impeccable vibes, Carlos decided this was the right time and place and completely unbeknownst to me he had let James and Hilda know about his plan and they assisted in the greatest intimate proposal I could have ever dreamed of, rain and chilly temperatures and all. After our tasting we all spoke around the table like we had known each other for years and it really was the most special day and experience I could have ever asked for. We will definitely be back sooner than later, especially since we both fell in love with not only the humans on site but vineyard good boy Corcho. Thank you both for your hospitality, I honestly can't express it enough.

The wines were fantastic, but what really made the experience stand out was the service. Everyone we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely excited to share their wines and story with us. Our sommelier was especially wonderful and made the tasting feel personal and relaxed rather than rushed or scripted. One of our favorite parts of the visit was the chocolate and wine pairing that my husband and I did together. Every pairing was thoughtfully put together, and it was so much fun discovering how the flavors changed and complemented each other with every sip and bite. The best surprise of the day? Finding out our sommelier was from the 805! As fellow Central Coast locals, it made the experience feel even more special and gave us an instant connection that we definitely weren't expecting to find in the middle of wine country in Baja.

Service here took a long time to just get menus and initial drinks. We also ordered food that was no longer available. When we did order, the food took near an hour to come to our table. The place was severely understaffed and most of our utensils were dirty. Place offers great views of the vineyard. It's just about the only good thing this place has. Sadly. They do have a "Michelin rated" restaurant inside the building, curious to see what the service there is. Overall, i would say there are so many other wineries around Valle de Guadalupe that offer better services/food and drinks.

She's wonderfully delightful, and she has an excellent staff pouring for you when you visit. On this trip, we just stopped in to purchase a bottle of their Mourvèdre, which is only available at the winery, however we have done tastings here in the past. The winery is rustic and offers a cute, round bar in the middle with a glass floor that looks down into their barrel room below (if you're lucky, they may even give you a tour). There's plenty of indoor seating, as well as a narrow-covered patio around the outside of the building. Parking is in a gravel lot, but the road to get to the winery is dirt and can sometimes be a "fun" experience in itself. If you enjoy a relaxed tasting experience and excellent wines, I highly recommend you put Casta de Vinos on your list when visiting Valle de Guadalupe.

The charcuterie board stood out with its excellent variety of artisanal cheeses and meats, all beautifully presented. Some of the cheeses were from the goats on the property, pretty cool--and other fresh ingredients came from the region. The "Torre de Uchepo" (Uchepo Tower) was the best. Uchepo is a soft tamale made from white corn, traditional to Michoacán, and here it is taken to another level. It's served with pork rib and a green tomato and puya pepper sauce, topped with fresh farm cream and Cotija cheese. An absolute must! The wines, all produced from the on-site winery, paired perfectly with both the charcuterie board and the tamale dish. The peaceful views of ducks in a small pond and a nearby pasture with sheep and horses. They have dogs too, which are all so friendly and, in my opinion, added to the experience as a dog lover. It's a serene experience that perfectly complements the quality of the food and wine. And the service, the service is like no other. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the best of Valle de Guadalupe's culinary and wine scene. I look forward to returning for an actual meal, we had dinner reservations, but wanted to stop by. The restaurant is off the beaten path.
