RUN FORREST RUN! My friend bought a used corvette from Jay. He told her that the A/C unit worked. When she tried using it on the way home it died. Turns out that the condenser needed replacing. When my friend told Jay, he refused to pay $500. for the repair bill. This man has a beautiful home on the lake and several classic cars, yet he is TOO CHEAP to pay for something that he knew did not work . This guy is a real SCMUCK! Had a tie rod break. The wheel was jammed up pretty bad which made it difficult to get on the truck but he made it work....AND without damaging the vehicle. Upset I never asked his name. He was great!! Arrived sooner than the estimated time and was very pleasurable to deal with. Once he got it to our garage he went above and beyond to help us get it in...VERY knowledgeable. Was rear ended so I didn't have to pay for this (so I have no opinion on what they charge) but the work looked great, they finished it when they said they would, communication was good, and they even cleaned the interior which I was not expecting (and my floor mats sure needed it). Was told my tow would be $75 maximum. They charged me $95 because it took the driver 30 min to figure out how to move it. I could have been there to help move the car but they said I didn't have to be there and they didn't call. I got attitude from the business when they over charges me. I do not recommend. If they charge this much for a tow - what will they charge for body work? read more

I would give these crooks no stars if possible. I got into an accident right around Christmas time in 2013 and I was pretty shaken up about it. Had a choice to pick between 2 shops and was told Bodies by Jay was a great place so of course I chose them. When I went to pick up my vehicle the following day to transfer it to another repair shop that is backed up my insurance company I found that my tool box and a few other things had been stolen. Spoke with the manager and nothing was done and could have been done. Way to be professional, huh? Would never recommend them to anyone. read more

I had a small accident and was struck by another driving on the passengers side of my car. Small scratches. I was contacted by her insurance company and told to go through this body shop. I must say, they are awesome! They walked me through the entire process with the progressive agent there the entire time. I arrived on time, they quickly processed my car, called for a rental car paid by progressive, they gave me a new car and I was on my way. Everyone is cheery, welcoming, and offering help in whatever you need here. Great experience, and a great professional job fixing my car. Would recommend this body shop to anyone! read more

Don't bother getting an estimate from this place because the estimate means nothing to these guys. They just give you a low price to get you to go with them and then when you show up to get your car they try to charge you double what they originally said with no warning whatsoever. I was told if I dropped my car off on Sunday the work would be done Monday and I could pick it up before the close of business. It was getting close to 5pm and no one had called me so I called to check and was told they wouldn't be able to get to it until Wednesday! You'd think they would want to inform their customers that they'd be without a car for half a week?! Wednesday I get a call that now they're not going to be able to get to it until the weekend so I can get it on Monday... so a day turned into a week. I show up with my credit card to pay for the work and miraculously the price doubled and they no longer accept credit cards despite me specifically asking about cards the week before. These guys are crooks. STAY AWAY! read more

I have no idea how this business has been going for so long. Jay Cardinale was nice to my face but as I was leaving the parking lot I heard him complaining to his employees about me because of a question I asked about my insurance. If the job hadn't already been done I would have gone elsewhere. I personally know a current employee of his that told me Jay has made his receptionist cry and is an all around asshole. I don't care how good the work was done lousy customer service is no way to win over people. I certainly am sorry I went here and I guarantee I won't be going back. read more

My boyfriend was referred to this place by someone to get work done on the roof of his car. He went and got an estimate and because they had the best pricing, he set an appointment. Apparently they contracted out for the work because when it was finally done (over a week later which was longer than they said) they called him up and told him the work is done and it's over double what the estimate was! When he got there and talked to the guy, they brought it down a bit but it was still MUCH more than the original estimate. They said the person they contract with needed to do more work than expected and he charges his own prices. Ok, so DO NOT give an estimate if you do not decide what the pricing is! And they should NEVER do work that will be double the cost unless they call the customer!!!They never called to ask if this was ok, so they did unauthorized additional work and charged him for it. DO NOT GO HERE! I want people to know about our experience because in my opinion, everyone should steer clear of this place! read more

way to expensive. I was charged $80.25 to be pulled out of a ditch this morning because of icy roads. I didn't call them they just happened to drive by right after it happened. It's not like they used a lot of gas. I don't know why I was charged so much but I would never use this company again. If this ever happened again I would tell them to keep going.
