There's no waiting room, or maybe they don't use it since pandemic. When I arrived at 10am there were 5 people standing around the narrow hallway outside the front door either filling out paperwork or waiting to get in. My first massage post-pandemic. Things seem back to normal except for masks. However my masseuse said I could pull it under my nose if I wanted to. I chose not to...despite being vaccinated and she probably is too. Didn't really affect my experience wearing one. My masseuse was very intuitive and thorough. I usually get firm pressure but since I haven't had a massage in 1.5 years I asked for medium-firm. I was just there to relax and get my circulation going. I wished the music was more nature/asian style though. It sounded like a James Cameron movie sountrack. All in all, it made me realize I need to get massages more often! It was $81 including tax for 1 hour plus I tipped. Ouch. But you only live once. Oh i love me deep tissue massage. Cris is really good, I feel so relaxed after. Personally I prefer men masseuse because they have more strength that makes it feel relaxing and comfortable and no long nails. I've had women masseuse and the strength from elbows and fingers plus their nails just don't do it for me. I feel more pissed during the massage that it becomes painful. This massage was very relaxing, I have right shoulders and lower back pain and I usually do a 90min deep tissue. Cris helped make my shoulders loosen and that was so soothing. They say after your deep tissue massage to hydrate because you'll feel like you just had a hard workout the next day from the toxins releasing. What a wonderful surprise to come upon this place at Pearlridge. For one, I hadn't been inside the mall for years. And I needed to buy something from Sephora. I stepped outside and saw Body and Mind and decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised. First time using this facility for a Chiropractor, and I was not happy with the way their Receptionist failed to tell me that if I do not provide proof of insurance PRIOR to my appointment, that I would have to pay the full amount of services. Had she informed me of this, I would have made the effort to email my insurance cards prior to my appointment. Not only did I have to pay in full, but now I have to contact my insurance carriers to try and get a refund for services covered under the insurance plans I have. So I normally go to massage envy but I had tweaked my shoulder pretty badly and they had no appointments available so I decided to give this venue a try. I liked that I could make an appointment online. I'm not a big phone talker. When making an appointment online you are prompted to pay online ahead of time too though. The waiting room is very small so don't get there too early. The massage room was a decent size though and relaxing. My only disappointment was the tables aren't heated and I get cold easily. I went in for a upper body massage with Andrew. He was very sweet and seemed very honest. He asked me if there was any specific reason coming in today and I was having upper back pains. He told me what he can try and do for me. His pressure was nice and firm! I think he did great! I was very tense going in and he was able to loosen up some tension. I spent about an hour on the table. I didn't want to get up after but after getting up I didn't feel as much in pain as I was going in. He massaged me and talked stories. I enjoyed it. I looked through the reviews and booked a 90 minute session with Vittorio. It is a little strange to come into Pearlridge for a massage, but their location is in an interior space so it is quiet. Vittorio was great! Helped me with some muscle/joint issues and explained what kind of stretching I should do. He also recommended swimming back stroke to help loosen up the "sugar freeze" in my back muscles. I haven't swam, but I do rotate my arms backward before working out. The only thing I thought was a little jarring was, at the end, I felt a little rushed. Normally, I get a little time to emerge from my state of relaxation. She: How was everything? Me: Great! Thank you! You know I use to go to your downtown location. Does Wallace K still work for you. She: Yes, would you like to book? Hells yeaah!!!! Is what I wanted to say, but I had her check his schedule and booked him the following week. It had been at least five years since he had worked on me. He kind of remembered me when I said I was from San Diego. I would have to say his technique is way better than before. He worked on the knots that were hard to get rid of. Too much dealing with BS at work...LOL! It was great catching up! I can't wait to return! One thing that I really didn't like was the use of the paper cover on the face pad. This is almost the third time it's happened and this is the last time it happened. Got a 30-minute deep tissue chair massage today with Sun who was excellent! He asked what kind of pressure I preferred and I requested strong pressure to work out some knots hubby couldn't quite reach. Sun focused on my shoulders and neck, relieving a lot of tension, then my back and lower back. But then he focused on a new area for me... my shoulder rotator cuffs, which was borderline hard to handle, but I knew the benefits would be great so I grabbed a straw and sucked it up. Then he moved onto my biceps--areas I never had massaged before in years of getting massages. He explained why it would benefit me and it made perfect sense! And have you ever had the front of your shoulders massaged? That was incredibly relieving! Who knew my shallow chest breathing contributes to that kind of tension. Learned to be more mindful of my breathing and to focus on deep diaphragm breathing instead. I'll be back often! Woosah! read more

It's been a while since my last visit, especially because of Covid. I treated myself and visiting mom for a much needed massage. Our post massage reaction was summed up in one word, "OUTSTANDING". Everything, from the dual appointment booking, massage, ambiance, and service, we gave them all a ranking of 10 out of 10. This is my go to place. I have had massages by a few different therapists. Cris Lapitan (there's more than one Cris) and Angie are incredible. They can feel the problem areas and spend the one to help loosen the muscles so I'm not in immense pain. I try to come once a week for some self care time. For full service massages or anything more than a 30 min session requires you to go into the "rooms" which is just across. Nice place, clean and quiet which is set up to receive you in a calming manner. Rooms are available for private and couples therapy. Today I opted for a full 60 min deep massage. Focused on shoulder and lower back. Got started with a male masseur and you have the option of male or female for your preference. Expert/certified masseur didn't take long to asses problematic areas after initial treatment and addressing the specific areas in which he would work on. Also asked to inform him pressure preference as he continued with therapy. Did a fantastic job in pinpointing all nerve and muscle pressure points and helping relieve much need pain and discomfort. I am so embarrassed after 2 days from getting waxed here! On the 8th I got a full face wax and a Brazilian by Liliana. After getting the wax, it was awesome! My face was smooth and I was loving the results. She told me that I have sensitive skin and that she would put on some sunscreen and moisturizer to help my skin heal. Forward to the next day: my skin is bumpy, a little red, no pimples yet (like in the photos). I'm a bit worried at this point because this was the first time I have EVER broke out. (I've been waxed multiple time by the way!) as a result of this, I keep moisturizing my face and I do not wear any make up. Now, forward to today: it is exactly what you see in the photos I have attached down below. I'm not too sure if you can see in the photos, but my skin that was red and just a little bumpy the previous day had turned into pimples. So now I have pimples all along the edge of my forehead and I have bigger "volcano" pimples on my sideburn area. Not only am I embarrassed by how my skin looks, I'm actually more concerned about the damage that this is doing to my skin because I have never had this many breakouts at one time. They also haven't been as severe as this. I'm worried that this will scar my face because it has happened before. Not only that, but I even got some pimples from my Brazilian. I'm sorry for being so personal, girls, but this is super f*cking EMBARRASSING. Also, I've been calling this establishment for hours and they have not picked up after my first call. This is outrageous. All in all, go to a different place (there are a lot of affordable places that can wax you properly) that know what the hell they're doing and probably cleans their tools and doesn't double dip into their wax. The massage was mediocre - and to the credit of the masseuse, I am nearly 9 months pregnant, so I understand why I didn't fully enjoy the massage. My facial and wax by Lilillan were excellent! I have gotten facials before from higher end spas, however this has to be the best facial ever. I have never gotten a bikini wax before, so I was nervous. Lillian was so sweet and gentle! Came here for a deep tissue because a friend insisted on getting massages. At the time I didn't have any knicks or pains to work out but the massage itself was GOOD! Relaxing... and I felt really loose afterwards. Second time I came here was because I strained my back at the night job and needed a major back massage. I can't remember her name, but she really did a good job making my back feel less sore. The place isn't as nice as most spa's. You can hear knocking and talking through the walls. They are located inside of Pearlridge mall so you can't really help that. When you walk in, it's a bit crowded because there are a few masseuse doing massages right by the entrance, also people in the small waiting area. If you're hear to get a massage, this is the place to be. However, if you wanna come to relax and have a day at the spa kind of thing.... I don't think this is the place. I just don't like their location. But don't let that stop you from coming here........it's crowded here sometimes, meaning they give GOOD massages. I've been here several times for various services. First, the front desk girls are sweet but chatty. I wish they would be more professional and not chat amongst each other. That was a bit distracting. First time I came here, I got a Brazillian wax. Lillian was so nice and efficient. All hair was gone, with much less pain than other waxers I've been to at other salons. I'm definitely a regular with Lillian. I hear she gives a mean facial too. I have also been here for a number of massages and chiropractic treatment combos. Dr. Tang gave a great massage. I like a lot of pressure but usually get something that feels like I'm being tickled by the masseuse. The pressure he gave was just right and worked out all of the tension from my muscles. The chiropractic treatment was awesome - crack, crack, crack and I feel fab! I've also gotten massages and chiropractic treatment from Dr. Vu, who was also really good. All in all, a great experience at reasonable prices. If you're expecting a full spa experience with showers, refreshments and such like Aveda or Bliss, don't come here. Remember that those types of spas charge more for the luxury experience. But if you want a great massage or a great wax at reasonable prices, this is your place!!! read more

I never imagine myself getting a massage here. It was the first time coming for a massage. I only passed by this company on my way to TJ maxx, Ross, etc. The staff were welcoming and friendly when I came in the main entrance. The receptionist told me that they have another location of rooms between Gamestop and Pink. Because I asked for a room for the 30 min massage, I was led to that other part of their company. When I walked in there is was so much more quieter and at ease. The licensed massage therapist Allyson did a wonderful job in giving me a deep tissue full body massage. She even asked me if it was okay to do a gluteal massage. It felt painful at first, but I realized my butt muscles never felt so relaxed. Allyson mentioned that guys cry when she massage their gluteal muscles. Didn't cry or scream. Just lied down quietly. Since my friend gave me a gift certificate to this company, I used it up and paid about $10 for the remaining balance. Pretty good for a 30 min massage. After the massage, I changed into my clothes and Allyson gave me a cup of water. She even gave me her business card with the time slots she works. During the shopping of Black Friday, my boyfriend and I happened across the Body & Mind Spa kiosk on the mall floor. The receptionist was very friendly and told us she only had two 20 minute chair massages available. We took it. My LMT was Neil Garces, and he is a wizard. Those 20 minutes in the chair were amazing, and I got up feeling better than I had in weeks. He found all of my tight spots and cramped tension and worked them out. Will definitely be coming back and requesting Neil! Service: 5/5 - everyone was friendly, prompt and professional! Cleanliness: 5/5 - nothing in the little space was dirty, and they used a fresh tissue paper cover for the head rest on the chair, and a fresh towel. Privacy/Spa-feel: 3.5/5 (almost a 4) - honestly, it was less awkward sitting in the chair than I thought it'd be, seeing as it was in a kiosk on the mall floor. But once I got in the chair, I felt a little closed off because the walls are so high. And honestly, I was focused on the massage and looking down, so I didn't notice the people going by. I love this place! Today was my first visit, my husband made the appointment for me and I was not disappointed at all. I was immediately greeted and asked to do paperwork about what my problem areas were and I was told Chris would be helping me. When he took me back he had asked again what was hurting and he gave me a minute to undress and then he came back in. I expected just my neck and back to be worked on but it was my entire body, mainly focusing on my two problem areas. Chris constantly asked about his pressure which made me feel reassured he was there to help me and not just earn a paycheck. His manner was awesome and he worked so hard on my tense body. I walked in with a really bad headache and pain in my back. I left with no headache and feeling really relaxed. So relaxed I scheduled another massage with him and a visit with the chiropractor. It's been a good 5ish months since my last session with Maggie & BOY, I've missed out a lot! I finally booked another appointment since it's my BIRTHDAY & I wanted to spoil myself. Work has been crazy for the last few weeks & I've finally recovered from yet ANOTHER cold. Like always, I booked my appointment online a few days ago. I noticed their prices increased very slightly. They do however still offer the 10% discount for booking online! Yay! I checked in about 15mins early; the ladies at the front desk was bright & friendly, greeted me immediately & easily found my appointment. I was then told my massage would be in "section 2" (which I had NO idea what that meant) & one of the girls would escort me over. As she led me back out of the shop & on a short walk across the way, she told me the had to expand. Hidden away, through a door in the wall next to GameStop & down a hallway, they have a brand new office with a small seating/waiting area & several private rooms. The area is still currently under construction (thankfully NOT while I was there! Yay!) but for the most part, it looks beautiful & I LOOOOOVE that it is tucked away from the rest of the mall. It is so much more quiet & relaxing in this new section! The receptionist in the new section was also very sweet & chatted with me a bit while I waited for my appointment. As always, I still HIGHLY recommend Body & Mind....maybe even MORE now with this new, more secluded & tranquil section & hope all my future appointments will be here! read more

Came here today because my back was telling me it was long overdue for a massage. I received a curtesy call a day before my appointment and they even asked if I wanted to come in a little earlier. Walking in from the hustle & bustle from the mall, it was very relaxing and you couldn't even tell you were at the mall. A form had to be completed (takes minutes if you're a quick reader). Once you are ready, the therapist (Vittorio) took me in to the massage room and explained the usual procedure. Vittorio was really great for the 30 minute shiatsu I received. He told me to let him know if the pressure to too much or if I wanted more. He even told me the specific areas that were tight. It was as relaxing as a shiatsu could be while someone is trying to destress the tightness from your back. I will definitely be going back for another session but this time it will be for 60 minutes. 30 minutes was definitely a teaser but it was the first time I got a shiatsu massage and I wanted to get my toes wet first before diving in for the full hour.
