Jim gave me an estimate a few months ago for additional minor repairs along with a complete paint job. When it came time to do the work, Jim then increased the price dramatically. He then promised to raise the vehicle on a lift when it was in the shop to give me a more accurate estimate. That new estimate never happened as Jim said parts were not available. I checked online as soon as I returned home and found several sources for parts. I also asked for an alignment while my vehicle was in the shop. Jim told me that someone crawled underneath the car and said it did not need an alignment. That is not how you check alignment. Really, If the vehicle pulls to the left or right then it is alignment related. The vehicle was never raised on a hoist nor put on an alignment rack. I let Burton Heights Auto Body repair my vehicle and was not satisfied with the service, nor the deceit and unkept promises. I have referred many people to this establishment in the past making the company many thousands of dollars. That does not include the thousands that I have spent. Yet, when I had to go through the process all Jim cared about was the insurance check and not making the customer happy by meeting the requirements and promises that he made to me. Deceit is not good business... NO MORE REFFERALS!

I've had to call them every time the truck was supposed to have been done and wasn't for some reason or another. Last week it was early this week. Wednesday it was tomorrow. Thursday it was tomorrow by 3. Today I had to call at 2:00 to make sure it was done and was told I could pick it up anytime before 3:00 because they were closing early. When I asked why they never called so I could actually make it there by 3:00 she claimed she had just then been told it was done. I really don't believe her this time. Every time I have called she was just about to call me. She did make arrangements for me to pick up the car on Saturday, but it really is the least they could do at this point. They have had the vehicle for 22 days for a $3,000 repair. In the end they did good work. Worked out the details and met us on Saturday to pick up the truck. Will I go back? I don't know. I sure do wish they communicated better.

The window operator failed, the rear window wiper failed and one of the slider handles failed. Just to make me feel like I did my due diligence, I took the vehicle to another body shop to get a secon d quote. I was shocked when the second quote came back at nearly double the price quoted by Dewey's. The repairs were completed perfectly in less than 8 hours without surprises provided by the final bill. In another event, my 2007 Subaru was hit in a parking lot. These repairs were far more complex than the van. The work took 5 days to complete (not surprisingly). The finished work was beautiful! My 11 year old Suby looks like new! This was one of those jobs that could easily have been more than anticipated due to hidden damage. When I picked up the car, the bill was exactly what the insurance company estimated. I would not have been surprised to have to pay some extra, but that isn't what happened.
