From the moment we walked into the spa, we felt welcomed. The atmosphere was so calming, with soft music and cozy lighting that immediately put us in a relaxed mood. Our esthetician was fantastic. She took her time to chat with us about our skin and what we were looking for, making sure our facials were just right for us. The facial itself was pure bliss--gentle exfoliation, a nourishing mask, and a heavenly facial massage that just melted all our stress away. What made it even more special was sharing the experience with my sister. We laughed, talked, and really enjoyed the pampering together. It turned out to be a lovely bonding time. When we finished, our skin was glowing, and we felt completely rejuvenated. We left the spa on cloud nine! The Scan: It was done with makeup on which was mistake one. It said I had medium/dark skin that…read moreisn't sensitive to sun, based on my brown eyeshadow. It also said I'm 92% oily but I was wearing beef tallow on my face after working all day to help my dry skin (that has been dry my whole life). Any well trained esthetician would be able to see that the scan was inaccurate. They also didn't ask any questions about current products or skin history to verify whether the scan was accurate or not. They based my treatment on the scan which may or may not be the cause of the issue I ended up with. Treatment: good treatment overall but nothing to compare it to since this was my first Korean facial. My skin had a nice glow afterward. The staff was nice so no complaints there. The products weren't clearly explained and I didn't receive any info about them which was another red flag. Post: 3 days after my treatment I developed dermatitis, as seen in pictures and determined by my dermatologist. It's unclear what caused the dermatitis. Post one week: skin has healed mostly with some redness still around my mouth. No scarring. The staff saw my original review and was very concerned and called me. I admit I should have contacted them first prior to the review. They talked to me at length and asked many questions and they did truly seem to care and want to make it right. They did say that they are tightening procedures and the makeup should have been cleaned off first and said they should have asked about current products. This is something they said they normally do but didn't that day. They had concern about the beef tallow but I didnt use any after the facial, just the products they recommended (and I purchased from them). I don't think that was the cause. They offered another facial (very gentle and healing) and my money back which I appreciate considering I paid $100 for a derm appointment and antibiotics. I haven't taken their offer yet but I do think they were genuinely surprised and caring during the process so I'm changing my review from 1 star to 3.

I usually do treatments like microneedling, Sylfirm, and other maintenance treatments. Lately I have also been stressing about aging, so they are still stuck with me lol. The biggest reason I continue to come here is that I actually feel cared for. I have tried a few places in LA because Fullerton is honestly far from me now, but the experiences were just not the same. Some places felt rushed, not very friendly, or like they were giving everyone the same recommendation. Here, they actually look closely at my skin and tells me what would be helpful for me specifically. I never feel like I am just another customer. And the staff really makes a difference. Alex at the front is always so sweet, patient, and helpful. Jenny and Sunah are both amazing and have taken care of my skin for years. I have known some of the staff since before COVID, and seeing the same people there for so many years makes me feel even more comfortable and trusting of the clinic. I work full time and live in LA, but I still drive over an hour to Fullerton for my appointments. Sometimes I complain about the drive while I'm doing it, but I keep going because I genuinely trust their skills and the way they treat people. I'm a teacher, and people still mistake me for a student pretty often. I know genetics and skincare at home matter too, but I honestly consider this clinic one of the biggest contributors to how my skin looks today. I'm very thankful to the doctor, Alex, Jenny, Sunah, and everyone else who has taken care of me over the years.

The locker room is luxurious with lots of amenities, including 2 showers (they have on-wall shampoo/conditioner/body wash), 3 bathroom stalls, 1 steam room, oodles of lockers which have your robe and rubber slipper shoes and space to put all your stuff during your treatment, and all of the self-care goodies near the 2 sinks (mouthwash, body lotion, makeup remover, hair spray and gel, clean combs and brushes, an aromatherapy machine) as well as flavored water. They use nice towels to dry your hands, and they have body towels if you take a shower. The lounge space is co-ed, with loungers, chairs, 2 flavored waters, 2 types of small bite-size pastries (blueberry bread and cranberry orange scones), and they offered me hot tea. The wall nearby appears to be stained-glass. Wowsers, what an experience. It's absolutely worth it. Spend the money on yourself, indulge, and you will never regret it. The owner was was incredibly welcoming, and even though they were fully booked on what looked like a very busy Saturday, he made room for my group. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was warm, welcoming, and relaxing. Even with a full salon, the place never felt rushed or chaotic. Everyone was friendly, professional, and were genuinely happy to be there, which I knew it would contribute to my friends' experience to be even more enjoyable. The ladies had an amazing time, and their manicures and pedicures turned out absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail and customer service were outstanding. My needs and wishes was to get Smartlipo on the back/ abdomen/ flanks / Bra Fat /and NOT SO Love handIes. I knew exactly what I wanted YET Dr. #1 was trying to get me to sign up for a NEW BUTT and Dr. #2 was trying to sign me up for a Botox and Filler membership. Dr. Ngo listened to my needs and DID NOT try to UPSALE me on product in which I WAS NOT SHOPPING for. ( When I brought up focus on my "BRA FAT" Dr. Ngo commented " YOU WOULD BE WASTING YOUR MONEY AS YOU DON'T NEED IT IN THAT SPOT" "I don't want take your money" **BINGO** SHE BECAME MY DOCTOR ON THE SPOT!! This was one of the most pleasing experiences I have ever had at a doctor's office. I just completed week six of my so called recovery. I've been on the go ever since my procedure and kept forgetting that I was in recovery. During my procedure I kept waiting for some pain. A couple of pinches was about it. I know of people having a harder time and spend a lot more time getting their hair extended. I feel like Dr.Ngo is the best thing since sliced bread. They did what they could but told me to contact a dermatologist for further treatment and diagnosis. After multiple offices told me I'd have to wait weeks to months, Renu Dermatology was able to get me in the same week. Dr. Nguyen performed a punch biopsy on my skin, thoroughly explained the lab results to me, and provided the proper treatment. I also got treated here for my eczema. He prescribed medication that gave me the clearest skin I've seen in YEARS. I was finally able to wear clothes I couldn't wear before due to insecurity about my skin's appearance. I eventually ran out of the medication, so my eczema has been gradually returning. I plan on scheduling another appointment. I previously went to my primary care doctor for help with my eczema, but I always felt rushed, had to wait a long time despite having an appointment, the staff weren't very knowledgeable, were rude, the treatment was ineffective, and I was referred to a dermatologist with poor reviews. It ruined my view of seeking dermatologic care until I found Renu Dermatology. Dr. Nguyen and Nurse Vanessa are amazing. Nurse Vanessa was always in the room during my appointments, which made me feel more comfortable. They take their time with appointments, are gentle, listen carefully, and explain things thoroughly. They're punctual as well--I never experienced long wait times here. The office is located in the Martin Luther Medical Plaza with plenty of parking. My greeted me in the reception area and she helped me understand the paperwork needed for the treatment. She was very helpful and genuinely welcoming. The nurse, Lei, was amazing about explaining every step of the treatment, and what to expect when I got home, as well as how to care for and protect my skin afterwords. She was very kind and she had a gentle way of handling each of the treatments. I was impressed with how knowledgeable she was about the treatments. The spa is at a new location, which is light and spacious. They used to be in Irvine. The technology is a state of the art. I still have a bit of redness, which is normal on the day of treatment. I'm already seeing the results and I'm very happy with how refreshed my skin looks and the vertical lines above my lips are noticeably diminished.
