I normally go to another bbq restaurant in South Holland but they were closed on Sundays, so I decided to give them a try. The customer service was great, they greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and gave me my order quickly. A plus! However, when it came to the food, I was not impressed. I consider myself a bbq connoisseur and I'm always looking for a good place for bbq. With that being said, I eat bbq without sauce so I can taste the smoke, the flavor of the meat. IMHO, if you properly flavor your meat and that's with any meat: steak, pork chops, and game meats such as, bison, venison, etc., then it will taste good with or without sauce or gravy. I had the rib tips and not only was I not impressed but my husband was not impressed either - his family used to own a rib place years ago and his brother worked for Leon's so we know what good bbq should taste like. The Turkey link was cooked perfectly and now I'm going to be stressed to pick Turkey or Pork next time. Tip we're again tenet & Smokey. I had a drink at the bar waiting for my to go order and again observed excellent customer service. The owner, his wife snd the staff treat each and every customer with a warm welcome. I watch the owner speak with a couple who he didn't recognize and he spent a lot of time make them feel comfortable. Great job. I saw this restaurant on Facebook. The food is amazing I ordered the 3 meat sampler (rib tips, buffalo wings, & spare ribs, green, yams and their cheesy Mac and cheese. The wife had bbq wings greens and yams. It was plenty of food the main course were great ribs fall off the bone delicious!!! The sides were cooked to perfection they really cooked the greens, yams and Mac and cheese the way they should prepared. This place has really good bbq. I had a taste for some rib tips and they were great. I bbq at least 6-10 times a month and you can taste and smell the smoke in these ribs. Honestly didn't like the wings but the tips are great. As a person who bbq a lot I highly, HIGHLY recommend those tips. Going to try more items from their menu later. Everyone was friendly there too. The left front door is carry-out and the right door is dine-in. The carry-out has a small open window and the closed glass is a mirror. There is no bell to ring, so I looked thru the open window into the kitchen and saw nobody, so I waited for a couple minutes until I heard talking and then tried to get their attention. When the person talking realized I was waiting, he told the person who was eating in the kitchen corner "you have a customer"! Mac & Cheese is only served on Sundays for some reason and is dry and not close to creamy, especially because it's pretty cold by the time one eats it. The Rib-Tip Dinner is pretty small portions of two sides and the smallest portion of rib-tip I've ever had. There is just the smallest bit of sauce on them, if at all, so you NEED extra sauce on the side, which I thought I ordered but never got. I had to wait about ten minutes for my order with no chairs to sit down. All the time I waited, I heard a few people on the dine-in side talking while a child continuously yelled a conversation across the room! I wondered who would possibly want to come there to eat and have to listen to that for 45 mins! My order came to $23.10 and when I took the bag, it was feather light, so I immediately knew that I wasn't going to get very much, at least compared to other places I've been. Sadly, the attention seems to be to make the biggest profit possible for the smallest portion of food. The tips were unremarkable, especially with no sauce. Would be like almost four tips from Lem's or Sonny's. I would price my dinner at $15 and still making them a profit of at least $4.00. Another place that won't be around very long! read more

Bofill's catering was phenomenal! We utilized their catering menu for my mom's birthday party. I'm telling you, everyone asked "who catered the food, it's so delicious"! We ordered Mac and cheese, greens and sweet potatoes. I emailed them to place my order and that was extremely seamless. Hassle free. I even had to adjust my order closer to the event and this was not a problem at all. They were able to deliver our order for an additional fee, but this was extremely useful because we were so busy setting up for the party. I was so happy everyone enjoyed their food!
