I have been a customer since they open the very first store in Southern Highlands many many years ago I would purchase food toys and get my dogs groomed. A few weeks ago I bought a bag of dog food and as I took it out of the trunk and set it on the garage floor like I have done for years and years and years this bag split right down the middle and food went everywhere, I took the bag back to the store asking For replacement bag figuring the store would send the bag back to the manufacture and like always with manufactures they will get a replacement as well,well the owner said no.the owner would rather lose a 10+ year customer. Instead of doing the right thing for the loyal customer. I will never be back and I hope people read this review and change stores as well because this store this company does not care about its customers. read more

this is what they did to my son and baby girl yesterday!!!!! i will reporting this to the proper authorization they buther my kids! now they both so traumatized currently at vet getting them treated and get reports of their injuries this is absolutely unacceptable to me there was a guy groomer that took over for andrea while she was out on maternity leave maternity leave and he cut her private part so badly that she had to get antibiotics and pain meds for a week or two antibiotics and pain meds for about 2 weeks i let that one time slide but this time is both of my kids and supposedly with andrea...i am still waiting for owner or the groomer andrea to call....well it's 12:00pm i called in at 8am! my kids are my life my girl is a rescue and my boy is adopted i love them to death and will spoil them with all have i promise to protect them but i didn't do that yesterday no sleep only been crying my brains out hugging kisses apologize making them feel extra extra loved but they only give me their hurt and sad faces breaks my heart for had happened to my kids! abused and or mistreated with roughness adused and or mistreated with roughness to probably make them still..that i truly feel it in my heart that was what happened! they shaved my boy so badly that his body is so red that when i touched the injured areas its like hes burn dip in boiling water!! they also cut his private part that its infected!! i am extremely furious!!! i will not give up until this owner extremely take responsibilities for their groomers that they hire... read more

I was happy to find this store open on July 4th. The staff here is extremely friendly and attentive; we were greeted upon entry and asked if we needed assistance and to ask questions anytime we have them. The snacks in the glass case were enjoyed by my furry friends back home in Hawaii. My fur baby loves his monkey pet flys bag that we bought him. It doesn't quite fit the airlines we use but I love the bag so much that I may just have to find a different airline for when my fiancé and I do decide to fly with the pup. Was very happy to be able to visit a dog boutique before our trip back home because that's our favorite part of how we spend our last day in Vegas. read more

Very disappointing visit today. I needed my dogs nails trimmed and filed. The guy did it really fast like if he was in a hurry while I had to hold my dog on the table and he never filed the nails. He just used the drill grinder thing leaving the nails sharp. There were nails on the table and I am not talking about animal nails. Nails you hammer into a wall and other junk I don't recall what it even was. I then went up to the front counter to pay and also pay for a self service bath. The girl was supposedly cleaning the tub and area to be used. When I walked to the self bath area, she was spraying what she said was disinfectant. She didn't wipe anything down. After I was finished with the bath I attempted to use the dryer and OMG!!! It was like a hair tornado. The floor was covered in hair from previous dogs and kicked up as soon as the blow dryer was on. I had hair up my nose, in my mouth and was completely covered in other people's dog hair. I have come here several times but today will make me think twice about going back. Our past visits were great and the place was clean. This time it appeared they had different people working and just a mess. Management, please address these issues with your staff. i originally went to the location on centennial center wanting to order a cake for my dog. i came in well in advance and the guy at the centennial location told me the bogarts that's a bakery is on ft apache. so the next day my boyfriend and i came to the ft apache location and was greeted by alison first. she looked no older than 18 or 19 (which normally isn't a problem) but she lacked total customer service skills. she was very dismissive of everything i was saying and kept cutting me off. on one hand i can understand if maybe this is her first job (and a fun one i'd assume at that) and she's still learning some customer service skills. but one thing i couldn't shake was that she never asked what kind of dog i have and who the cake was for. she didn't know or didn't care to build rapport with me or my boyfriend. then she asked when i wanted the cake made by, i told her 10/23/19, wellllllll in advance, i must've come in the 13th or 14th. she kept asking those around her if that was okay, it was to my understanding that most, not all, but MOST dog bakeries in vegas (or at least the ones i called) needed 2-3 days notice in advance. so why would me coming more than a week in advance be an issue????? THEN came the end, she gave me the total price and i asked her if i can pay when i get the cake. she said they can't do that. so then i said "can i leave a deposit?" she also said no they can't do that. she explained in the past people would come in, order a cake, come the day of pick up, they never show up and a cake goes to waste and their time and effort. i understood, although i still didn't feel comfortable paying almost $30 of goods i haven't received yet. i talked to my boyfriend and asked what he thought, all the while alison is either tapping her foot or bouncing her leg, i could tell and so could my boyfriend that she was irritated or in a bad mood or what not. i felt pressured to hurry up and make a decision when i really didn't feel comfortable paying that amount of money when i haven't seen the cake yet. i went back the next day and got a refund, but at first the owner didn't want to refund me! even though it was STILL a WEEK before the cake was supposed to be done. i ended up getting my money refunded but i will not be coming to any bogart's location, alison ruined the entire company for me. if you feel the need to stop in, do yourself a favor and don't go to the ft apache/tropicana location. read more

With the exception of scheduling conflicts, lack of instruction, and an unpleasant "check-in" during our first grooming appointment at Bone Appetit delivered our pups in perfect condition! I don't know why it was so difficult, but my husband called to tell me that we weren't on the books even though I made the appointment in-person the night before and watched the woman who assisted me write my name down with a pencil. He was also frustrated because they asked him for their vaccination records (which he didn't have) because we weren't instructed to produce such info. I told the woman that it was the first time we were bringing them in and it would have been nice for her to remind me to bring that information before our appointment. Thankfully, I had it on hand and I was able to scan it and send it to him all while he was waiting. It could have been avoided with proper instruction, in my opinion. The overall experience made us feel like they were doing us a favor by "squeezing us in" even though I had made an appointment the day before. I didn't ask to be "squeezed in". I asked if they were available to take our dogs to which she could have said no. On a positive note, our dogs were exactly as we requested, happy as can be, they were dolled up, and even got a treat for the road. Now that we know what to expect, I will be making appointments with more lead time and making sure they have our records up to date. read more

The groomer apologized but the owner never did. They didn't even fire the girl who did this. This was not the first time she did this. My dog's fur was jacked up here not once, but TWICE! So bad that it's growing back in PATCHES after a whole year, it will never be the same. The manager Rebecca is an incompetent idiot. She stared at me blankly and said "well what do you want me to do?" I was never offered a refund, never even an apology. My puppy also went in for her teeth to be brushed and they said that one of her teeth just randomly fell out. Very very strange to me. I come here often to use the self-service dog wash area and occasionally I will grab my pups food here. They have a great system in place to wash your dog and it always seems to be hassle free and quick. They provide the large tub, shampoo, and deodorizer. You also get 2 towels per dog and there is a huge dryer if your dog can handle it. I always take both dogs and pay $20 total. It's clean, and you are given an apron to get down and dirty! I also bought a dog carrier and cute harness here, they have a large selection in leashes and harnesses. Prices are reasonable, similar to the Petco or Petsmart except this is family owned so help out your local businesses! They have a ton of options for treats (cute baked ones) that look so good it could be people treats. I don't recommend that though :) Staff is always friendly. The last time I was in a newer older employee sat with me trying on harnesses for my dog, which wasn't a quick decision. You won't find that service at a Petco! They have a TON of options for healthy dog food and make sure to get a punch card! read more

This is a fairly long story. And I will do my best to be fair, not angry. Last week we brought 3 dogs in for grooming. 1 small dog (4 lb Yorkie) and 2 larger dogs (20-23 lbs each). When I went in, I was alone. I brought the larger dogs in first. The yorkie was in the car with the window cracked, fan on and water in the car for approximately 3 minutes. Everyone was very helpful in trying to get us all in quickly because I was alone with 3 crazy dogs! For that I am grateful. The owner even asked if I wanted help. Very nice and concerned which I appreciated. I told her it was fine and easier for me to do it on my own. I spoke with the groomer regarding the needs of my small dog. She is fidgety, scared and has had a bad grooming experience in the past. I asked her to be careful around sensitive areas (ears, nose, nails etc..) and not to worry if she couldn't do them. I left feeling very confident and everyone in the store was very nice. About 3 hours after their appointment I called to see if they were ready. We arrived to pick them up and the girl at the front stated that the groomer wanted to talk to us. The big dogs were fine. The little one had been cut just under her eye. The small wound was causing bleeding in and around her eye. She was fully groomed. The groomer informed me she hadn't called because she was new, didn't know the policies and was scared. She told me she hadn't told anyone what happened. We took our dogs and went to the front. The owners were not there. An associate spoke with us and I was upset and angry that we hadn't been called. A woman told me that I needed to calm down (mistake). We took the dog to the vet and she required 3 stitches which meant she needed anesthesia. We went in yesterday to meet with the owner regarding the situation. We explained that we are not upset the dog was hurt. These things happen. What we are upset about is the way it had been handled. * We were not called to be told the dog was hurt. * We do not know how long she sat there with a cut on her eye that needed medical attention. * The groomer admitted to being afraid to call. This meant our dog was put in harms way when she should have been treated. The owner wanted us to pay for the other 2 dogs. Ultimately she would put their services toward the vet bill. This way her groomer could be paid. I did not not think we should pay anything. Neither did my husband. Had she been open and honest and called us, I would gladly have paid. We mentioned that we would do what we felt necessary if they were going to pay us for only part of the bill. She asked if we were threatening her and my husband told her absolutely not. We were told we were being taped (both audio and visual). My husband and the owner continued to discuss the situation. She then looked at me, pointed her finger to my face and said "YOU left your dog in the car. I was the one who was worried about her. I bet you didn't tell your husband that did you". This was on the floor of her store. I told her it was irrelevant because my dog was fine and safe. My husband started to talk to her and she stalked away. She returned with the check, paid in full and we thanked her. I am posting this for people to make their own judgements. This could have and should have been handled better. Again, things happen and dogs get hurt. Especially fidgety ones. I appreciate that no excuses were made for the groomer, but the way we (and our dog) were treated was not ok. And I think people need to know about it. read more

The groomers are great. Very happy with their work, but even more so I feel like they take the time to make your dog feel safe and comfortable. I've been to several groomers around the area and Bogarts is the best I've found. ***side note: they have home-made peanut butter cookies that the dogs LOVE. read more

I was at the dog park the other day and was recommended Bone Appetit by a fellow dog-owner for their grooming services. I called yesterday to make an appointment and they were so rude to me on the phone that I am forced to leave a review for one star. Customer service is high on my list in preparing my reviews and they need an overhaul on their customer service. For some reason, I was muted on the phone (not on my end) and they kept hanging up on me. When I called back numerous times they could not hear me so I kept calling back. Finally, they were magically able to hear me on my fourth attempt and blamed it all on my phone. Even I am able to forgive technical mishaps, but don't blame the customer! However, I was willing to overlook it and book an appointment anyways. There was some confusion on the time available for an appointment and I told them that I am off work at 6 to give them an idea of a time to give me an appointment. The employee rudely stated "well we don't board." That was not my purpose for saying I was off work at 6, Miss. I told her I would have to call her back and she hung up without saying goodbye. I am very sad that this place turned off a customer before I even got to try their services. I wanted to support a local small business, but went to Petco instead. read more

Horrible!!! This establishment burned my dogs!! Two of them had to have biopsies done costing more than $2500.00 of treatment from Animal dermatology. They concluded that they were 3rd degree burns from either the dryer or clippers. Will never return. read more

We moved here recently and heard this is a great source of pet food and we wanted to check it out. Yesterday we went up and found great resources for our cat. We are impressed by all the staff who answered our questions with such caring attitudes. They make all sorts of home cooked pet foods and treats. We are also hoping to adopt a dog soon. They have the agency Heaven Can Wait which took our names and we made a donation. I got my kitty a name tag for her collar. Late in the day yesterday we interviewed dog owners who needed a home for a pet as they were moving where dogs are not allowed. Today we happily accepted this little guy into our lives. Zoom we went back to Bogart. We were struck by how knowledgeable the staff are with regard to nutrition as now we have our dog. He will be a frequent flyer here for many reasons including grooming. My mom and sister had previously been here for to use their self-washing vicinity. I must say i loved the place has a large variety of pet supplies as well. Anyways its well maintained very clean and friendly staff. Loved the little steps so it isn't hard for any puppy of any age or size to get into the tub. I went on a Sunday which they close the self-wash at 4 and my mom and i ended up getting there at 4 and the staff were kind enough to let us bathe our two puppies. I am very impressed with this pet store! I'm a pet store owner but from out of state and needed to get my puppy some food. The staff was extremely knowledgable and very friendly. It was great going there so I could also help my mom find a pet store close to their home since they just moved a month ago from California and needed to find someplace close by. I definitely urge you to stop in to check them out. They also have great prices! What caught my eye when looking for a store is they have a tub for large breeds and that is hard to find out by home in Colorado and as an owner of a mastiff it is something I look for in finding a groomer too! This place is affordable compared to Petsmart. Friendly staff and lots to choose from. They have great buyer programs when it comes to dog food. We figured we would give them another try, I ordered a cake on line, called to confirm they received the order asked if I would be able to pick it up the next day at 6:45pm. I've been a long time customer for The grooming practices and they were absolutely above board both of my pups came out beautiful!! So naturally while you're there you're shopping for treats for your fur babies and other things. So they have a Frozen bone selection that I decided to try out for my Yorkie.. they were beef marrow bones. I selected a small bone which was $6 a bit pricey so I decided to find out what the larger package was and that was $13. So I thought that was the best purchase for the price. The package is deceiving , the package appears like the larger bone is cut into eight sections small enough for my Yorkie to enjoy. That is not the case. It is a large bone for large dogs. So when I called the store to ask them to exchange my one bone for the two smaller ones they still would be ahead in their cost and I was denied that privilege. So I talked to the manager Jason who said oh no I have to talk to my vendor! What does that practice have to do with the customer? So I asked who the owner was in the owner was rachel. So Rachel was there she piped in she said she was listening on the conversation and again she denied the exchange. Bad bad business sense. So today I spent over $75 to get my pup groomed and I purchased some of her merchandise. I am not a happy camper so I do not recommend this store for anything. I'm the one that will be disappointed because they will no longer get my business for my dog's groom. And believe me their store was very much recommended by me.
