Im a repeat customer who dropped off my dog today with a perfect condition Kong harness. When I went in to pick him back up the groomer handed me a chewed up unusable harness and said "oops sorry I didn't think he would chew this". Handed it to me and waved me off. I said (as I was looking at a wall full of harnesses) well that's not acceptable can you replace it with one of those? My dog has never chewed his harness. She said "I'll have to call Rachel". I'm assuming the owner? She came back and said "well I'll have to buy you your new harness and get it delivered and call you in a few days". Meanwhile I was expected to leave with no harness. Then I get a call later from the owner who argues with me about replacing it and as I set some boundaries and review of expectations she said I wasn't nice. What ? How was this all my fault? Then after I got home my family members were looking at our dog grooming job and said he looks like a lamb and that the groom was terrible! I'd have to agree! I wasn't even complaining to them about the bad groom job I just wanted a functional harness like the one I showed up with! Terrible customer service. Will not return. I advise you go elsewhere where they will do a good job, be accountable for their work and supervision of your animal (why did my dog chew up his harness and also no one saw this). I cannot support a business who practices this way. No wonder everytime I've been in (3x) there are different staff. read more

I started shopping at Bogarts because they stock the higher quality dog food brands. In addition to dry food I buy the refrigerated fresh pet meatball food. Last month I purchased a refrigerated bag of food from them, I took it home and it was 3 WEEKS EXPIRED. Okay maybe it was a mistake, no problem. I gave them a pass. Yesterday I purchased another bag of dry food as well as another $35 bag of refrigerated fresh pet food. I took it straight home and put it in the refrigerator. In the morning when I opened it I noticed the food was COMPLETELY MOLDED and GREEN. I called the store straight away to inform them of the problem. When the product was brought back in for a refund with the receipt the staff was not the least bit apologetic. Instead I was accused of leaving the product in a hot car, the blame was placed on me for their negligence in handling and properly refrigerating perishable foods. I have lived in vegas long enough to know not to leave food in a hot car thank you. Do you know the proper refrigeration temperature for food storage? I would definitely check product expiration dates if you choose to purchase food here, they obviously do not do it regularly. Do the diligence yourself. I don't trust them to properly refrigerate/freeze perishable dog foods. I'm done shopping there due to their poor customer service. They are lucky they sell animal food so they can get away with unsanitary food handling. In a regular grocery store they wouldn't be allowed to get away with it. read more

Piper the Shih-Tzu has slipped her collar and bolted for the door on another groomer, but never on Katie. She does an awesome mohawk on Jaws the ferocious Shih-Tzu. It really fits his personality. Had both of my teacup yorkies groomed here today and I'm so UPSET! I specifically told the groomer that I wanted half off the hair and the face round with the teddy bear look. She didn't listen to what I wanted. Instead she cut off 75% off their hair and my dogs don't even look like yorkies! They look like chihuahuas! One of dogs is almost bald on her head. She had a long beautiful pony tail that took a long time to grow. And it's shaved off! Uuugh!! I'm so frustrated!!! It was easy to find, the flyer we got from the shelter said it was in the Hobby Lobby parking lot, and its actually right across from Hobby Lobby in a free standing building. Service was awesome: Super polite and helpful without being overbearing or pushy. They don't have a big selection of sweaters, which is what I was looking for, but they DO have a lot of food and treat options, and this is where we spoiled our pup. We picked up a bag of food, and a bag of potato and duck flavored treats. We also got a super cute name tag for him, and some of their specialty baked goods...one of the treats looked like a slice of pizza! They also have a grooming service, and had people outside from Heaven Can Wait offering adoptions! Because of where I work and what my job entails, I'm here fairly often and I think it's my favorite part of the day when I get to come here. There's a whole lot of natural foods for dogs, toys, treats, furniture, etc. What's really neat is that there's also a groomer there if you want to leave your dog there and pick him/her up when they're finished OR, if you want to save your house/bathtub from all the fur, clogging the tub, and water everywhere, you can even bathe your dog yourself for just $10/dog in the tubs and blow dry them as well. You are provided an apron, shampoo/conditioner, and two towels. Another thing I like is their bakery. Bland, but still edible, for humans, but it's a tastey treat for dogs! I won't shop here again based on their customer service and return policy. I bought a bag of Fromm dog food and 1 day after transitioning, my dog got a bad ear infection. She was miserable and shook her head non-stop due to the irritation - I had to bandage her ears to her head to avoid further injury or hematomas. There were no other changes to her diet or routine so the vet and I are certain it was the food. 3 days after purchase I took the food back only to be told that they do not give refunds. They also do not sell another brand I was looking for as a possible replacement (Farmina N&D). It seems to me that the sales people should advise customers at the time of sale, before the actual purchase, that they don't give refunds. I suspect this is something they don't want to broadcast considering many dog owners have to return food because food manufacturers change ingredients without notice which can cause severe illness, and some foods just simply don't work well with certain dogs. But, the owner made a point to tell me that I should have looked at my receipt for the policy, which is inconsequential since you get a receipt after you have already purchased. When I brought this fact up she said she wasn't going to argue with me and then turned to the person running the register and said, "She's trying to argue with me." I found this to be incredibly unprofessional. This is what I saw as I prepared to leave: To the right side of the register, hidden behind brochures, are the words Refund Policy peering out just above the brochures. Nice. read more

I have been a customer since they open the very first store in Southern Highlands many many years ago I would purchase food toys and get my dogs groomed. A few weeks ago I bought a bag of dog food and as I took it out of the trunk and set it on the garage floor like I have done for years and years and years this bag split right down the middle and food went everywhere, I took the bag back to the store asking For replacement bag figuring the store would send the bag back to the manufacture and like always with manufactures they will get a replacement as well,well the owner said no.the owner would rather lose a 10+ year customer.
