Excellent spot for dinner and drinks. We had the best burgers and apps. The smash burger was excellent. Our table also had black and blue burger, and a pimento cheese burger. Everyone enjoyed their burgers. The Deviled Egg Poppers for appetizer were yummy and enough to share. The fried Mac & Cheese and the sweet potato fries were delicious. Speciality Cocktails were unique. They have a good selection of beers on tap also. Inside was spacious with a lot of TVs. We happened to visit during their "Back to School" night. They had Disney movies playing on the TVs, someone face painting and games outdoors. Perfect for our 4 yr old. The outdoor area is very nice, large with fans overhead keeping it cool during these hot summer days. Dogs are welcome outside. Service was quick. I would recommend going here for meal time or to stop into the bar for Happy Hour drinks and Appetizers. We will be back. read more

Dine in | Dinner | $10-20 So my husband and I finally got a date night last night and he took me to Bohemian Bull. My first impression passed the vibe check. Fun upbeat music. Not too busy. After we ordered our food the music stopped and the presidential debate began very very very loudly our entire meal. It was hard to have a conversation trying to talk over the debate. As we ate our food we listened to talk of aborted fetuses. Who thought this was a good idea? I ordered a smash burger, two thinly smashed patties. I got two super thick regular burgers with no seasoning. Our server said this is how the smash burgers are served which is nothing like the photos. I had lunch with my brother and my niece to celebrate her upcoming birthday. The restaurant of choice was the Bohemian Bull in Mauldin. We arrived at 11:07 am, a good time to beat the crowd. I've been wanting to try this place since it opened. We started our lunch off with appetizers fried mac and cheese bites, brussel sprouts with whipped feta (at our server's suggestion, she told us it was her favorite appetizer, I think she was trying to sell them),and the deviled eggs. First of all they have a gnat problem, I do know this happens, but we had to fan our plates and faces because of this. Out of the 3 apps we tried, the fried mac and cheese was the best. The brussel sprouts were bitter, and without any seasoning though the whipped feta was interesting, the deviled eggs did not taste freshly made, the lime zest on the eggs threw me off , and I'm still looking for that roasted corn. We should have left after we had the appetizers that did not impress any of us, but we didn't. I ordered the Folly Cheesesteak with sliced ribeye and fries for my side. I asked our server if the ribeye was tender she said that it was. The ribeye was thin sliced, but too tough to chew. The fries were ok a little on the salty side. My brother ordered the smash burger and truffle fries , he said his food was ok. My niece ordered the classic Ruben and a side of the fried okra, that I had originally wanted to try, but I'm so glad that I didn't. My niece very seldom does not like her food, but even she did not enjoy her food. The fried okra are whole okra pods that are battered fried, that don't have the tops of the okra cut off. Some people may eat that, but I cut that off when I cook okra. The okra was "hard" okra that shouldn't have been used. Yes I consider myself an okra connoisseur, and I cook it a lot especially when it's fresh and in season. I pick right over the too big pods of okra. The breading on the okra was the only thing edible about it. I really did want to like Bohemian Bull, for the price of our meal with tip included ($50.54) to not enjoy my meal, this dining experience was a one and done for me. read more

Came in the middle of the afternoon, definitely not a time when most are dining. Sat at the bar and had non-alcohlic drinks. The menu has decent variety of choices and good variety of sides from which to choose. Wait, what is this other menu? Good golly it's the alcohol menu. So many choices on different spirits it was surprising. The options are so extensive. Impressive. If I drank more I'd come here just to try the different options. The meal I had was good, nothing to complain about, and it was prepared very well. Glad I came here! read more

MIA bartender and MIA service! My husband and I visited on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and sat at the outside bar. The bartender came by after a wait for us (with not many people at the bar). When he took our food order he did not have anything to record it (no paper or pen nor POS with him). So, we told him our order and he leaves- he comes back with paper and pen in hand and asked us to repeat our order, which we did. Our food came out and we didn't have utensils nor napkins, so we start looking for our bartender. By this time we needed drink refills and salt and pepper. I got the salt and pepper and napkins from a server station and walking back to my seat I noticed the bartender sitting at a table behind us talking to a guy. So, we sat there needed refills and utensils and finally a person came out to clear tables and we stopped her to ask for refills and she said she needed to get a bartender. I ask for the manager (I know Karen right). Another person came and said she would get our drinks which she did after I watched her put away glasses and stare at our "bartender" during his visit. No one approached the young man during this whole time and he finally popped back up and apologized for the lack of service by explaining that he was super backed up and was just trying to catch up! Do we need to get Keith Lee to stop by and review it lol but seriously I ordered online my first time eating here and the portobello mushroom Swiss burger I got was the best burger I've had in GVL in my 32 years of living here. So, the wife and I decided to come back with the kids and try it out again during our family outing. Again, this place did not disappoint! We were seated quickly and greeted by the staff with smiles. The restaurant has a really cool sports bar vibe to it. There are huge tvs all around for you to catch some sports and highlights. There is also outdoor seating available too. It's super clean and plenty of space. We have enough space for our stroller with twins to fit right beside our table. I wish I could remember my waiters name but he was super cool and explained everything they had to offer in detail. My wife ordered the portobello mushroom Swiss burger again and I got the smash burger. We ordered our picky 3 year old a grilled cheese sandwich. They have plenty of drink choices if you indulge. WOW! This is a great find! We had just arrived in Mauldin after 3 days of traveling cross country. We were tired and hot and needed a cocktail. This was close to our VRBO. Boy, we were in for a treat! The vibe is hopping and the service was speedy and amazing! We had Popper Deviled Eggs to start, a plain cheeseburger with fries and a Bacon Cheeseburger Salad. It was literally the best cheeseburger I have eaten. The manager stopped by a few times to check on us. We loved the T-shirts the staff was wearing that we each got one! Of course, after a few cocktails (since it was happy hour) and delicious food, we had to try dessert. Please do me a favor. Stopped into this place for the first time today. Had a really good plate of nachos. The bartender was very nice. As I was almost finished with my nachos a small bug crawled out from under one of the chips. I brought it to the attention of the bartender/waitress. I said I don't want to do anything more than alert the manager. I am a restaurant owner. I would want a customer to tell me. This is probably just a pest control problem. I got my check it was for the full amount. I didn't get an apology from my server, or from the manager who is walking around smiling at people. so it's like it never happened maybe that would be the case for you. read more

I'll be honest I'm really surprised to be giving this low of a review for this place but I personally just wasn't impressed. The only great thing about the restaurant is the ambiance and service. The food for sure was lacking flavor, freshness, and thought. My fiancés burgers bun was soggy because it wasn't toasted, my wrap tasted like most of the ingredients came straight from a can (even the chicken), and the Mac and cheese bites were dry and flavorless. Ordered boneless wings with blue cheese and got Ranch. Paid $14 for glorified McNuggets. The CC device is set for 28%, 25%, or 20% tip. Need to do a custom tip if you want to tip 15%. Since when do waitstaff and restaurants think 28% tip is standard? The food already cost twice what it used to, why is the tip now doubled too? read more

okay, the server was INCREDIBLE! The Food and drinks were great! But I would NEVER return because of the trivia dj. It was so loud that I had to shove gauze in my ears so I could stop plugging my ears because it was painful. The server asked him to turn it down. She was told "it's spring break and more people are here so it has to be louder." There were 30 people in the entire place and a lot of people left when he started his show. I stepped out for a second to get a break, and plugged my ears walking back in. He then proceeded to mock me and told me "I'm putting on a show." Oh and his jokes sucked. read more

I came to town and had to try the bohemian bull in mauldin since I am from Charleston and love the one on James island. The ambiance is great, they have new big tv's everywhere. We were having a girls night and discussing my bachelorette trip with some friends I haven't seen in forever. The server was really nice and chatty with us, making us feel like he was our friend, that was nice however once the drinks stopped coming out we knew we would be finishing our meals and leaving soon after. The food was quick and really good. Only complaint there was the vegetable of the day "street corn" being really hard to eat. Like the corn wasn't really cooked enough. 2 of the girls first drink took about 20 minutes to come to the table.
