I have to say the last owner wasn't particularly nice - the new owners are quite welcoming. There's a huge selection of variety of Rhododendrum's, Japanese maples, Dahlia's and Clivia's with huge redwoods surrounding. The grounds are gorgeous as ever with lovely shaded paths throughout. A new addition is the small shop with soaps and lotions made from herbs. Additionally, we were told by one of the new owners that they know offer event space for weddings. There is no charge to park or to enter the nursery. It seemed like the prices were a bit higher, but for a specialty plant it would be worth it.

I've been buying their apples for many years at the Ferry Farmers' Market in San Francisco on Tuesdays and Saturdays; due to the business climate in SF, they are only here at the Saturday market. They mainly sell flowers and apples with the latter being my main shopping item here. The most impressive thing about their apples is the variety that they sell throughout the season, offering anywhere from six to eight different ones at a time. Come to this stand if you're looking for a wide variety of apples and don't hesitate to ask for suggestions in picking the one that fits your flavor profile. You won't be disappointed. They invited us to look at all of the flowers that come in from their own farm and gardens and we picked out lots of bunches of colorful, fresh cut flowers (can't even remember all the names of what we picked). I also have to give a special thanks to Jolie who does wedding arrangements and bouquets for Devoto. She was very, very busy and yet took the time to make me an incredible bouquet for my wedding. I gave her very little direction (I knew it was going to be great) and she created a bridal bouquet more beautiful than I could have ever dreamed of! It was an incredible act of kindness! I highly recommend using Devoto Gardens anytime you need flowers and especially for your wedding!

Front Porch Farm has the most beautiful produce (primarily gorgeous lettuces) and gorgeous flowers like sweet peas, roses and other really cute, out-of-the-ordinary varieties. The lettuces are always so clean and super fresh! It's like a treasured find! Kalee, the farmers market manager, is so friendly and knowledgeable. I love chatting with her as we select from the week's treasures. Earlier this season, I picked up some tomato plants also in interesting varieties such as Pink Boar and Mountain Magic. This spot was on my radar for cut flowers, mushrooms and animals to pet - it delivered on all accounts! They were hosting a mushroom workshop but we just putzed around to pet animals, wander through the garden, and soak up some nature. The farm has alpacas, Jacob sheep, and various ducks. Cows in the outside fields. A beautiful cut flower garden; and a greenhouse with shiitake and oyster mushrooms growing. Beautiful spot off highway 116; perfect farm vibes on a beautiful autumn day. What can I tell you; Steve is the owner and opens his homestead for folks like us to learn, explore and enjoy. Isabelle runs the flower garden in the lower garden that is full of dahlias, zinnias, and other beauties. We walked a way with some cut flowers, pink oyster mushrooms to cook for dinner, and a shiitake mushroom growing kit. I love mushrooms and I'm super excited to harvest our kit in 7-8 days! Super lovely spot to have spent an afternoon! Perfect west county farm full of character.
