Super friendly staff, excellent food. I loved the Brazilian spin on spaghetti with broccoli and fresh grated cheese. The garlic sauce that was tossed with the perfectly al dente pasta was amazing. It was complemented by salad with hearts of palm and finely chopped tomato, onion, and lettuce. For dressing, there are vinegar/olive oil bottles on the table like an old school Italian restaurant. My friend had an assortment of meats that came with a yucca condiment, rice and black bean, yucca fries and tiny fried plantains. One special thing to note is that the staff brought our desserts out and sang a rousing Happy Birthday for my friend, who was delighted. A rich passion fruit mousse and tres leches rounded out the meal. Our waiter Farid was class all the way, and made it a special meal. He mentioned that they have a buffet on weekends, and there are many more delicious dishes on the menu. We came to celebrate my child's 23rd birthday. The place has a nice ambiance, and we've always enjoyed coming here for dinner. However, I'm not sure the manager is aware of how the business is currently being run. We were charged a 20% automatic tip for a party of only five people, and on top of that, each bottle of regular water was priced at four dollars. What should have been a nice evening was overshadowed by excessive charges and an automatic gratuity for service that was below average. I was also surprised to see water priced at four dollars when most places charge no more than two. This restaurant has amazing food and beautiful ambience. And I have been coming here for over a decade. But something has seem to change with this restaurant. The service has went from absolutely wonderful, too mediocre at best. Also, the prices have become exuberant. There's absolutely no excuse that a dinner for two should cost over $220.00 at this place. When once not too long ago (and I am talking less than a year ago) for the same drinks and dinner dishes would set you back about $125.00 including tip. I say this wholeheartedly, this place was my go to restaurant for every single occasion for my family and l, but after visiting this establishment multiple times in the last few months, I have decided that it is time to let go of this restaurant and move on. I no longer see the value both in service and cost that justify me coming back here and spending my hard earned money. I wish this establishment all the best and only asked management to reevaluate its current operating conditions. Went there super late night for Rodizio which was my first and only mistake. At my age consuming large quantities of anything, let alone red meat can have dire consequences. Luckily I survived. Food, decor and service were all above par. Meat was flavorful, delicious and served in quantities that were almost overwhelming. 45 minutes late I tapped out, full content and smiling. Worth noting is that they have plenty of outdoor seating and a private adjacent parking lot which is always a welcome bonus in the Ironbound. Love the atmosphere for Brazilian BBQ, a bit more homey and a bit less formal than some of their competitors. Service was painfully slow though, I will admit we were here with a big group who sort of trickled in over an hour, but we actually didn't get served our food for a full two hours after arrival. The service staff is really sweet but our server didnt seem to know the menu and had to look at what we ordered by the menu number. This used to be a good place... However if you're looking for Brazilian BBQ you need to go somewhere else... What makes Brazilian BBQ great is the sea salt, however in this place you'll find that you'll need to constantly add cheap table salt to your meats, which defeats the purpose of going to a Brazilian steak house, you can go to Morton's or even Outback for the same meat flavor. Then when your check arrives there is a big surprise, if you want to pay by card they'll add a 3-4% charge to your bill. But they don't tell you that ahead of time So unless you're walking around w $200 cash in your pocket (which no one these days do that) you'll get stuck w that extra charge... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE... I don't know how to start this review but I have never been so disappointed at a Brazilian barbecue before... I am not sure if it was the day I went or if it was something else but honestly if I could give this place zero stars I would! I was here for close to three hours and in that time I've had four waiters which is not including the gauchos that came with the meat. The best part about the place was probably the rice and beans which is not saying anything at all for an all you can eat meat place. In the time I was there I was served five meats which is not typical of any other Brazilian barbecue that I have been to. Usually there would be people coming back-and-forth with different styles of meat. But not here in the three hours we were able to get five pieces of meat from which two of the pieces were almost raw. In the time I was there there were also four different solicitors that came through every table trying to sell fake purses make up and all sorts of things. Even after getting the check we had to wait about 30 minutes for a waiter to come take our check and charge us. The waiters were chilling with people they knew some of the waiters were sitting down at random tables and eating. I even saw a few people just drinking beer on the corner. We ended up spending about $150 for something that in my opinion wasn't even worth $50. Needless to say but I will not be going to this place again. read more

My brazillian coworker gave me the heads up about this place, which is in the ironbound. Very cool spot with an authentic feel to it, the interior is nice and welcoming. Only issue i had was that its not well insulated so it can get pretty cold unless you are near a heater. Everytime i go i get the all you can eat meal. Basically, you get access to their salad bar, which has an assortment of nice veggies and then they bring out a huge variety of meats one at a time. They literally being on the spit holding the meat and cut it right onto your plate. They have filet mignon, bacon wrapped beef, ribeye, lamb, chicken, everything!! I am not sure why the rating is so slow. My client is local and Brazilian. He took me to this place for dinner on Thursday. The place was pretty empty. Only some people drinking at the bar. We ordered the chicken heart, top sirloin, garlic rice, skirt steak, and a round of Brazilian vodka + mojito. Everything is above average. (Better than Fogo de Chao) The skirt steak was incredible. It's soft and juicy. Every bite is worthy the trip to Newark. I will definitely come back in the near future. PS. One suggestion was given by the friend and I guess it made the dinner so good. This place has a nice atmosphere and the staff is very pleasant. The food is OK but the portions are large. They have their own private parking and often do events for major soccer games. I recommend coming here before a Red Bull's game, eating or drinking, and leaving your car in their parking lot. Hmmm...Brazilian food. This is the first time I've ever had Brazilian food. Well, I came here last night prior to going to the Red Bulls game and for a restaurant that's relatively close to the arena it was not that full. ALERT. Let's talk about that balsamic vinaigrette though, in a word, atrocious. *sigh* I had a rack of lamb which was accompanied with mashed potatoes layered with red papers and a side of fried cassava. My boyfriend had a skirt steak entree with white rice. The food was good, it wasn't something I'd go crazy for and there was nothing particular that stood out that I would be able to identify as Brazilian. Although we were not seated promptly our server was very nice and I have no complaints about the service he provided. I probably wouldn't stop by here on a day that we're going to a game afterwards being that they did take their time to bring out dishes and stuff but I wouldn't mind dropping in again if I'm in the area.
