What is it about Winston-area Bojangles locations and their poor quality? Sadder still, this spot used to be the high performer among the group, but lately it too has descended to drudgery. Let's take my recent breakfast visit, when I was stuck standing at the counter for five minutes just to place my order. There were no more than three other customers in the restaurant, so it's not as though there was an intense demand. Once the staff finally took my order, I had to repeat every bit of the request at least twice and sometimes thrice. Not a complex order either, but just a biscuit combo. The order wasn't filled very quickly, and when it was I found the biscuit to be far, far too brown (a common trait among the local franchises). Maybe someone out there likes a crispy biscuit, but I do not and I doubt many others want that either. I foolishly thought making an online dinner order might go better, but it didn't, as I learned in a separate visit. The Bojangles app directed me to call the restaurant once I arrived...and no one answered the phone. I met a staff member at the door who was bringing my food, and when I inquired she said only managers are permitted to answer the phone. I decided it might be wise to check my food order, and thankfully I did as the drink selection I made wasn't filled correctly. Back into the restaurant I went, and I waited at the counter for at least a minute before being acknowledged (again, not busy in the least). The staff acknowledged the error and made it right, but never bothered to apologize. Why can't we clone the Yadkinville version of Bojangles and spread the clones down here? Over there they take pride in their work and turn out a good product despite being busy much of the time. How do they get it right over there but we get it so wrong here in the city and its suburbs? Surely the local franchisee can do better. read more

This particular location is probably an average spot, 3 times out of 4 the order is correct AND the food is properly cooked! I really like the chicken, biscuits and seasoned fries at BoJangles - in fact, I prefer the food here to that at Popeye's except for the spicy chicken sandwich! And the breakfast biscuits are excellent, and they offer some nice specials fairly often, like 2 ham biscuits for $5! My favorite is the 3 wing meal, seasoned fries, and slaw. Some decent food, some value, and it's an NC company, founded in Charlotte in 1977! read more

This was the only location I still visited due to disappointments at the others. Now this one has gone downhill. I ordered a 12 piece family meal. They were out of slaw so I chose dirty rice. When I got home, I had potatoes instead. I was supposed to get 6 biscuits but was given only 4. Finally, it appears that some of the chicken thighs had been cut into to produce more pieces. read more

Decent food but obvious staffing, management or ownership problems. 1st visit: Pulled into apparently open drive-through, speaker says it's closed and have to come inside. 2nd visit: Ordered a chicken meal, told there would be a 20 minute wait for chicken (at 5:30pm). Told to park in curbside spot, meal arrived in 30 minutes. 3rd visit: Attempted to order a combo special that was listed on THEIR location's website. They couldn't get their register to accept it so I had to pay for each item separately, about $5 extra. The food is acceptable, the staff is courteous but this location has issues. This is the worst bojangles i have been to in my entire life. The entire staff are some of the most incompetent people ive met, especially the woman with pink hair taking orders. I didn't realize it was so hard to take an order, also can barely understand her. And when they finally got the order right it took at 15 minutes to put a couple chicken strips in a box because the staff was too busy talking to each other. Ordered through the drive thru, ordered 6 tenders and a sandwich. Nobody else in line. We get to the window and they don't even know what we ordered after we payed. We get pulled to wait for our food. Wait 10 minutes. Go inside there's employees standing there talking in the dining room. They had completely forgot about our food, forgot we were there. There were customers in there waiting for their order to be taken and eventually just walking out because nobody would serve them. It was comical how bad it was. We get home and they didn't put a bun on the sandwich or give us any of the sauce asked for. Don't come here if you like average food service! This Bojangles is a joke. read more

I went in to Bojangles today around 11am... The lady at the front counter was incredibly rude, she continuously interrupted me and made me repeat my order several times. The manager, front counter lady and wrap person were all arguing and yelling at each other the entire time, in front of a lobby full of customers. People were staring they were arguing so loud. Then the woman on wrap station proceeded to tell the front counter lady that she does not give a f**k what the customer wants because the customer can wait. My food was incorrect and I waited over ten minutes for the issue to be resolved. Then I found a hair in my food. This experience was extremely unprofessional and just terrible. read more

Seems like new management has taken over. 86.5 sanitation grade I ordered 2 supreme combos - correct but food seemed old and cold Also ordered a kids Mac & cheese - no Mac & cheese just more old and cold chicken Also ordered the new chicken sandwich - i wish I could have tried it but didn't even get it. I was greeted when I walked in. They took and filled my order quickly. They were so pleasant and efficient.

I ordered my meal using the app. I was told my meal would be ready in five minutes but I had to wait for over thirty minutes to receive my order. There was no dipping sauce which I paid extra for. I stopped by here just a few minutes ago. I ordered a Chicken Supreme combo with Macaroni and Cheese and a Large Mt. Dew. I paid and got back on the road. Riding along I began to get into my meal. First, I noticed there wasn't a straw. No big deal. Then, I take the lid off and discover there is all kinds of black stuff floating around in my drink. Then, I go to my food and discover there's disgusting hair basically coiled around all of my chicken. I am utterly disgusted and will never come back to this establishment. Went through this locations drive thru, took us almost 45 minutes to get to the ordering speaker. Finally got our order taken and when we pulled to the window our food wasn't even bagged and our drinks were not given till after our food. When we got our food mine was "edible" my fries had to have came from the bottom of the batch and they were hard and Luke warm at most. My biscuit was terrible it didn't even look done on the bottom. We live in Texas and do not have Bojangles. We really liked the chicken biscuits. If you are familiar with Chick-Fil-A, in my opinion, these are much better. If you are up for it, try the chicken biscuit with egg and cheese. It was delicious. read more

The guy at the window with the black collared shirt did not say a single word to me The entire time I was at the window. I was picking up a Door Dash order all he did was hand me my stuff and close the window. Let's take the star method and add a spin. The four stars is for the morning/lunch crew. The one star is for the atrocious night crew. Come here on any morning and the food is fresh, service is great and fast. Come here at night and it's a bunch of high schoolers that are only here because mom and dad made them get a job to pay for gas money. They don't want to be here, and don't care that you're hungry, and willing to provide their paycheck to eat. So, come between opening and 3pm and you're probably good to go. read more

I really enjoy this Bojangles. I can get off the highway, go thru the drive thru, and get back on the highway in less than 5 minutes. Very friendly. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because on two occasions I've went by and they weren't open at 5am like they were supposed to be and it wasn't holiday. This place is HORRIBLE. One our food had HAIR in it. Two I didn't receive my fries when I got the rest of my food, and when I did they weren't seasoned. Last of all the service was terrible!
