Hubby dropped in for lunch today, thought a change would be good. The place was clean and friendly. Food was very good, and the portions satisfied. It's always edible and the staff is friendly but I wouldn't expect to get what you ordered and definitely skip delivery. Any kind of substitution or omission will be ignored, even if you paid extra. I can't count how many times I've ordered a family size bo round and gotten a tiny sleeve of like four potato rounds, it's just disappointing. (Im serious about skipping delivery, there's no way to report issues through the app and you just have to get over it.) read more

I am a delivery driver and pick up food often from this location, usually lunch or breakfast orders. On Sept.18,2024, around 6pm, I had a pick up at this location. There were at least 6 employees in the store. I tried to check in with an employee that I was there to pick up a delivery; the employee informed me that it would take awhile for the order to get completed. OK, no problem. The drive thru had 3 cars, dining room had no customers. As I was waiting 2 of the cars in drive thru drove off(tired of waiting). Out of 6 employees, no one was cooking anything. 3 employees were playing with their cell phones. After 20 minutes of waiting, an employee asked how much of the food had I received for my delivery order. I had not received any food???? The employee then informed me that the store was out of wings. I got the impression that this behavior was a regular occurance. Who is in charge???? Day shift is usually pretty good, 10 minute wait at most. read more

Everytime I come to this location they always forget something on my order. Today they were out of Cajun chicken(bojangles specialty), no eggs(my bacon and cheese biscuit looked very sad without its egg, and then as I was ordering they ran out of bo berry biscuits! We arrived at 1:30 pm on a Thursday. When we first arrived, there was no chicken legs, thighs, wings, or breasts. We had to wait 15 minutes for the chicken to be cooked. The drink station in the dining room was out of sweet tea, Mountain Dew, pink lemonade. Had to ask for sweet tea from the back. It was horrible with tea grounds floating in it. Had the fruit punch. The condiment station did not have any utensils. when we got the food, it was ok. While eating we observed the front line employee working her butt off. Her name is Tina. Poor thing got yelled at by customers more than once, some stormed out and left, and had to explain to all customers their order was going to take 15-20 minutes to prepare. We observed several employees more concerned with getting personal drinks than cooking or cleaning. While waiting for utensils, saw what appeared to be the manager come to register and get the money out. He did not ask if I needed help. If Tina ever misses a day, I believe the store will be in trouble. read more

This particular Bojangles is perfectly situated on the 'quiet' side of I-40 in Newport, TN. There's even a signal light to ease your return to the main road leading back to I-40! Food here is decently predictable, never outstanding; never bad: It's mostly variations of chicken ona biscuit. There's also bowls of rice/chicken entrees, for those wanting for a different food consistency. These can taste rather salty, however. Grub-pup and I generally opt for the Grilled Chicken Biscuit. It's the least greasy item on the menu, with no skin or oily batter. He enjoys the tender breast meat, gently offered as we sit in the outer rim of the parking lot. I enjoy a side of Bo-Rounds, their version of tater-tots. Bojangles will never be considered 'up-scale' dining, however for a quick highway meal for man and beast, it serves as a pleasant stop that keeps the hunger weasel away. There's plenty of parking, even for medium-sized trailers. The parking area is clean and maintained, same for restrooms and dining areas. Service has always been fast and friendly. Service was terrible. At 10:00, they refused to serve chicken sandwiches, and chicken supremes when they have an all day menu. Bo-Rounds were unseasoned and when we asked to put more seasoning on them she put an unreasonable amount of season to the point where they weren't edible. read more

We are from out of town where we don't have Bojangles, and we made a significant detour to try this food. After waiting in the drive thru line for 20 minutes, we pulled up to the kiosk to finally order and they said they had actually just closed. It was 7:56pm. The sign said they close at 8pm. Now we have a car full of tired, hungry, disappointed kids. The employees appeared to all be sitting around in the kitchen having a great time, presumably still on the clock. Ok, this would be a great spot for a chicken restaurant. We got there and went through the drive thru. Asked for an 8 piece meal. We were informed it would be 8 minutes for chicken to be ready. 8 minutes in the middle of the day? Why isn't the chicken cooked before its needed? Like you get down to 16 pieces cook more. Heck, even the local grocery deli cooks chicken when they get down to so many pieces. So we settled for the tenders.. DO NOT for any reason think tenders will make a good substitute for chicken,, they do not.. Then, the ranch dipping sauce is more like water with ranch flavoring. We got miles down the road and lookin the box, no napkins or plastic ware, kinda hard to eat beans and rice without the needed spork. Finally, we didnt get a receipt for the meal either. We stopped here after a trip to Gatlinburg on our way home. It was the first Bojangles we were going to pass off 40, so we off the exit, and found it about 1/2 a mile later. We decided to go inside and I got the kids chicken tenders meal. I like the regular vs. the homestyle, I think they have more flavor. I was craving a biscuit like you would not believe, and this biscuit was OMG good. It was the first thing I ate. I probably could have not eaten the chicken or the fries, and just gotten another biscuit. It was warm, and buttery and Bojangles goodness. The chicken was a little old, but the fries were hot a delicious. A very successful trip to my top 2 favorite fast food places. read more

Christian, the new kid on the register was really charming and sweet...but he really needed A LOT more training before being all by himself out front. So much went wrong on such a small order. Unfortunately, if this were my fist experience with Bojangles, it would have been my last. Please season your fries, throw out old chicken, put out condiments, check your sweet tea containers, and train your young employees so they aren't flustered and desperate for help. Also, the young girl who rolled her eyes every three seconds at Christians pleas for assistance is a detriment to your restaurant, not an asset. She was memorably obnoxious. read more

The 1st Jojangles that we ate at and was very impressed with this fast food place. I had stated that it would take a minute to look at the menu because we have never been in a Bojangles. The next thing I knew the cashier was getting some food. I ask her, "who are you getting that food for, us?" Her answer was "yes, we do that for all new customers." Then she went on to tell us that she was giving us a sample of both types of chicken (regular fried or spice boneless) along with their signature spicy beans and dirty rice. WOW...was I taken back. What a nice gesture! Between the two of we got both types of chicken along with the spicy beans. I really like the dirty rice as well, but had to choose one! The chicken and beans came with a very tasty biscuit. The place was clean and service was good. Just wished we had a Bojangles where we live! read more

For a place that serves chicken, they are always out of chicken! I don't mean late at night right before closing either, I;m talking dinner hour like 5:30. My last 3 visits to Bojangles resulted in me leaving with nothing because they were out of chicken. My guess is the owner of the franchise in his quest to save money on waste is actually losing money on sales. A 20 minutes wait while you cook chicken is not "fast food". One would think you'd be anticipating needing extra during normal dinner hours. When you are lucky enough to visit on a day when they've cooked enough, the chicken is usually very good, biscuits are always good, sweet tea is excellent... but it's hit or miss. Maybe you'll get chicken, maybe you won't. read more
