Bojangles/Oxford: I left a $1 tip for the Matron. First time I've ever tipped at a Boj.
Kimberly-Gretchen B.

I had breakfast here yesterday, and it was one of the more pleasant Bojangles' experiences I've had. The line moved quickly, I purchased a Country Ham Biscuit, Coffee, and OJ. All for $5.69. It was a typical Bojangles' experience: Pleasant personnel, yummy greasy food, hot coffee. What made it stand apart from others is that a matron (for lack of a better word), was stationed in the dining room to ensure that each table was properly bussed, and helping patrons as needed.

Just like your ordinary Bojangles. Same menu items as any other. Good chicken strips.

Horrible service and the food took forever. Training new people but left them alone to figure it out making the whole line a train wreak

The quality of the food was amazing and they were able to accommodate people in our group who are vegetarian. The sauces were delicious! I would highly recommend Kelly and his team for any function you may have a need for catering! We will absolutely be working with them again in the future!

Big Foot makes what old timers sit around and talk about when they discuss their archetypal pig-pickin', that is to say: slow-cooked (locally-farmed) whole hog, on charcoal and wood smoke, served chopped with plenty of bark, with sides that make sense. The ribs are country-style: thick, still juicy, with a bit of snap, and with a perfect bone-to-lean ratio. They do bird, too, and do it surprisingly well. Their smoked chickens are moist and delicious, and perfect for Sunday dinner. Want a real treat? Try their smoked chicken salad on some Strong Arm focaccia one afternoon. Sauces vary to please the discerning BBQ palate, but there's nothing over-the-top. This isn't competition barbecue, it's barbecue that people line up for on Sunday afternoon, it's the kind of barbecue that people seek out when they are driving through Granville County on the way home from Virginia, because if you know, you know (and want). Kelly and team sometimes go off piste with some more creative sides, but again, they make sense, like the barbecue/collards/sometimes Mac-and-cheese egg rolls that show up in a catering spread. You should always choose their fantastic string beans (get anything green on the side, for that matter). Big Foot pops up in the Triangle, so be on the lookout- it's authentic, pork-and-smoke-forward North Carolina barbecue, a whole-hog experience that will not disappoint. Until there's a brick and mortar, you can find their next service on Instagram and Facebook.

We ordered the beef stroganoff and he ordered the chicken Parmesan. These are definitely not small portions. Everything was hit and fresh and looked delicious! Personal preference with my dish I would have loved some sort of seasoning and I did add salt and extra pepper and it was AMAZING!! My steak was cooked fresh and I should have asked could they have added mushrooms! His Chicken Parmesan came with 2 pieces of fresh crispy fried chicken pieces covered in an appropriate amount of cheese, his only comment was that the sauce did have a slight clam taste to it but he did enjoy it. Definitely couldn't finish it all. The garlic bread was ok. Nothing spectacular but good an garlicky! Our server was very nice and never left our drink empty!

So far, I have tried three dishes from their menu: Arroz con Pollo (ACP), Dos Amigos and Arroz con Camaron (ACC). I had ACP on my first visit. It was good. After that, I alternated between dos amigos and ACC. I liked dos amigos the most, and ordered it at least twice. It's grilled tilapia fillet with buttery shrimp, garlic sauce, Spanish rice and beans. The last time I had it on was on Jan 27. I got sick from diarrhea the next day. It soured my opinion on that dish. The other frequent dish was ACC. I would have rated it highly had I not been to Toros Cantina on 1011-109 Lewis St. Their ACC is better, and I've ordered it many times. It included veggies, which helped to balance the taste of the melted cheese. At Mazatlán, veggies is an extra charge. Their ACC isn't as hearty being just shrimp and rice. On my last visit (with co-workers) on Dec 29, I had ACP with veggies. The chicken was a little tough. On the plus side, Mazatlán provides complimentary chips and sauce with no limit. When the basket is empty, it is promptly refilled. Same with the sauce. Service has been impeccable every time I was there. The manager periodically checks up on us to see how we are doing (if we need anything). Every time we were there, we never had to wait for a table. There's plenty of public parking too. Traffic is reasonably light during lunch time (though we are usually there by 11:30am).
