    Spicy chicken. Very tasty
    Lisa O.

For fast food I liked it. . The potatoes medallions were crisp and tasty but not very hot. I got the spicy chicken and it was tasty and crisp also. Kinda thin on the meat as I'm use to eating at Another chicken fast food that I don't have to say the name. But like the bun because it was super fresh and they butter and toast it. The pickles were great too. We never eat here we just get it to go. Did you know you can also get breakfast biscuits all day? My friend loved that and that is what she got. Our office gets lunch together and someone goes and picks it up. So I cannot comment on anything else since I'm always to busy to go

In an okay location in VA BEACH...and I say "okay" because it's located by a lot of fitness centers LOL. I've only been here when I'm not supposed to be here, so I usually only order fries for a quick grab. The small fry is $2 and they always give more at the bottom of the bag. Their ranch condiment is also a pretty reasonable size. True problem with this location is that they are always backed up. It never seems busy, so I'm confused why. Even when you're the one car in the drive thru, immediately when you pull up to the window they ask you to hold for at least 1 minute or more. The employee did apologize when I got to the window, but it shouldn't be a 10 minute ordeal for just a small fry.

Let me just start by saying the oldest employee was like 18. They didn't call orders out they just set them on the counter and walked away so it was a traffic jam of people pawing through bags to see if it's theirs... Yuck! They also got my order wrong and gave me the wrong kind of chicken but whatever *sigh* I was over it. Fyi this location is about 290 degrees inside and jam packed with people waiting around. Truth be told, even though my order was wrong my chicken was DELICIOUS!

BEC biscuit. The food is awful and so is the staff.

I hadn't eaten there in over five years, so I was hoping the food was still as good as I remembered. My visit was on a Friday evening, around 6:00 or 6:30 PM. The dining room was relatively quiet, with only two other customers present, and I was immediately greeted upon walking in. I asked the cashier about the new menu item, the "Lamb Chops." He described them as pan-fried, noting that an order includes two to three nice-sized chops and comes with two sides. I decided to order the lamb chops to go, selecting the arroz chaufa (fried rice) which was a $1 upcharge and plantains as my sides. I was extremely disappointed when I opened my order and found that I had been served lamb shoulder for $18 and not the lamb chops I expected (typically rib or loin chops). To add to my disappointment the quality of the Lamb was very poor; it was tough, contained an excessive amount of connective tissue and fat, and was ultimately inedible. I ended up having to throw the entire portion away. The arroz chaufa also had inconsistent quality. While the flavor was good, the texture varied significantly, with parts being mushy and overcooked, and others remaining hard and undercooked. The Plantains were cut too thick and were also undercooked. Given the cost and the expectation associated with "Lamb Chops," I was extremely unhappy with my meal. I believe the cut of meat served was misrepresented, falsely advertised and the quality was unacceptable. I certainly cannot recommend this item to others and regret not ordering the chicken, which I know your restaurant prepares well.

The restaurant was clean, well-lit, and had plenty of available seating. I ordered the quarter chicken with Peruvian fried rice and sweet plantains. Everything was exceptional; the rice and plantains were cooked perfectly, and while I did think the chicken was slightly salty, it was still very tasty. I also enjoyed the green sauce provided, though the food was flavorful enough on its own. My only minor suggestion is for the staff to ask guests whether they prefer white or dark meat when ordering. Aside from that, the meal was excellent. If you are looking for authentic, great-tasting Peruvian chicken, I highly recommend stopping by El Pico de Oro.

The food is delicious -- from the perfectly seasoned rotisserie chicken to the sides: yuca fries, peruvian corn salad, potatoes that taste homemade. The chicken is juicy, tender, and full of flavor, especially the dark meat, though fair warning: it can take a bit longer to come out if you order that. What really stood out was the fact that it was a one-man show -- the same person was the cook, cashier, server, and everything in between. You could tell he was working hard and looked exhausted, but he still managed to get everything done with a calm demeanor and a fairly steady attitude. Patience is key here, as food is made to order and may take time depending on what you choose. But trust me, the taste is worth the wait. Oh and If you're dining in on a hot day, make sure you grab a seat near the fan -- it can get very warm inside. It's a no-frills spot that delivers on flavor and heart.

The restaurant was very clean and thankfully, there wasn't much of a wait on a Tuesday night. As I looked over the menu, I was under impressed with the menu options. I asked if they had any combo dinners that included fish and shrimp or any other combinations and he said they don't offer that which was unfortunate because that's exactly what I wanted. I inquired about adding shrimp on the side of a dinner option and he mentioned the shrimp was $1.10 per piece. With the dinners already $13-14, I couldn't imagine spending almost $20 for a meal at a fish & chicken spot. After much consideration, I decided on the Fish Dinner with fries and coleslaw. I did ask about their mac and cheese but was told that it's just typical mac and cheese, nothing special, so I decided against it. Since the cakes looked pretty tasty, I also ordered the carrot cake. The Fish Dinner was pretty good. It's whiting fish and it comes with four pieces. I'm not a big fan of whiting but the fish was seasoned well and tasted fresh. The fries were very lightly salted but I did add their "Everything Rub" seasoning on them and it made them taste great! The coleslaw was actually creamy and delicious and I enjoyed it. The dinner comes with 3 hush puppies which contain corn and tasted wonderful. After our dinner, we tried the carrot cake and it was very good. The cake was moist and not too dense and even though it included raisins (which I hate lol), it still tasted very good. Overall, the food was alright for the most part. The staff was very friendly which I enjoyed. In my opinion, they should introduce combo dinners to the menu and also include drinks with the dinner options because they are not included. Not sure if I'll be stopping back in anytime soon but it's a decent spot if you have taste for some fried fish or chicken.
