Been to Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers a few times and it's always a solid quick food option. Customer service was decent and the food came out fresh. The restaurant was consistently busy as soon as I walked in but we were able to find a booth. Very cozy, no complaints on seating. The tenders are a little different from other chicken spots, but the toast is definitely the best part for me. The Cane's sauce is soooo good and the unsweet tea was actually really good too. My mom did say the chicken could use a little more seasoning, but overall it was a good experience and I'd go back. read more

I honestly really like there chicken and bread and the fries, but one thing is I feel like I always get soggy chicken and everytime I see videos of canes people always get a good crunch but mine is never that good. The service is insane, they will legit take forever to even get you a lemonade, the drive thru is also crazy. My visits to the Raising Cane's Chesapeake location were two different experiences. The first was a solid 5. The second was rounded up to 4. The food was equally good both times. I chose the Chicken Tenders Box Combo both visits. It consists of 4 large pieces of tender juicy chicken & true Deep South Cole Slaw prepared with a light sauce, just like I grew up with. Also included were Crinkle Cut French Fries & awesome Texas Toast. I opted out of their Special Sauce, which I am told is delicious by those who like dipping Chicken Fingers. Lemonade, which is really good, was my drink choice. Perhaps the difference in the visits has to do with time of day. The first visit was mid afternoon, having had a doctor's appointment in close proximity. The personnel were friendly & welcoming. What must have been the manager told us we should come back the next week, on their First Anniversary. We decided to support the restaurant on their Anniversary, meeting friends who lived in Chesapeake. The drive from the Shore Dr corridor to Greenbrier at rush hour was much longer than anticipated. So it was in the midst of the dinner hour when we arrived. The restaurant was extremely busy. The staffing seemed similar to our mid afternoon visit, which wasn't quite adequate to handle the dinner hour level of business. It wasn't an Anniversary crowd. My Chesapeake friends indicated that the restaurant was always that busy. The food tray came so quickly that I was still talking to one of their pleasant personnel, maybe a manager. Although we were able to order quickly, very soon there was a long line snaking past our table towards the back of the store. I was shocked when we left the restaurant at the extremely long line of cars waiting to go through the drive thru. The parking lot of the restaurant didn't come close to containing it. Told that it was always like this, I understood that the staff must be struggling to handle that many customers at one time. One big complaint on my second visit is that one of their 2 unisex, spacious bathrooms was completely out of toilet paper & paper towels. The soap dispenser had the front taken off, obviously by a patron trying to find soap. The inside replaceable plastic bag of soap refills had been squeezed, obviously in an attempt to get the last of the soap remaining. I planned to tell an employee the state of that bathroom but they were so busy that I decided to just return to my table. Obviously this was a good location choice for a Raising Cane's. But I do think they should increase their staffing level during the busy dinner hours. The location was filled with framed Chesapeake History. It was fun to walk around and see the articles & pictures. One was even a page from the 1955 Oscar Smith High School Yearbook. I'll return to this location both for takeout after a doctor appointment or to meet my Chesapeake friends. But I'll definitely leave earlier or take a different route. And I look forward to the opening of their planned Lynnhaven location. read more

I recently tried Raising Cane's for the first time and went with the 3-Strip Combo. It came with three chicken tenders, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, and their famous Cane's Sauce. As a big chicken tender fan, I was not disappointed--the tenders were hot, juicy, and perfectly breaded. The Cane's Sauce added a delicious, tangy kick that I couldn't get enough of. So good! The cashier recommended I try an Arnold Palmer (half lemonade, half iced tea), and I'm so glad I did. It was super refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. We decided to check Raising Cane's out one Friday evening for a bite. The drive-thru was pretty long, and we weren't in a hurry, so we decided to park and eat inside. They were pretty busy, and I found that the line for the cashier was pretty unorganized. We couldn't see where the line ended because many customers had already ordered and were waiting for their orders. Their menu is pretty limited. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a medium tea. My son ordered a kids combo and hubby ordered a box combo. The chicken tenders were perfectly fried. It was freshly battered and juicy. I felt that the chicken was underseasoned. I didn't really taste any seasoning or even a little salt. Their fries were okay. Their special sauce was okay. The restaurant was clean. The bathrooms were clean and very spacious. I studied the overhead menu board then ordered The Caniac Combo which consists of six chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, a large fountain drink and sauce. The restaurant was pretty busy at the time but the short line moved pretty swiftly and I received my order in just a few minutes. Service was friendly and efficient and my order was accurate. I ordered togo so I appreciated them giving me my soda while I waited for the rest of my order. They informed me I could get free refills on the soda. Upon receiving my food I rushed home and prepared to see if my Raising Cane's experience would live up to the hype. I found the found to be okay but nothing special. The chicken fingers were delicious but no better than similar products from competing restaurants. They had a slight crisp to them. I really enjoyed the Cane's Sauce, it was the perfect compliment to the chicken. The fries were good in an average way. I enjoyed the Texas Toast though it doesn't travel well so after the ten minute ride home it was pretty soggy. The coleslaw was okay but would have been much better if it hadn't been in the same container with all the hot food. I enjoyed my meal but was disappointed in the limited menu options. You have to pay for the chicken fingers by the piece or get them in a combo meal that includes fries, coleslaw, toast and a soda I would prefer to see combos that only include chicken fingers and a side for less money (with tax my combo was well over $18) as I generally do not buy drinks. Overall, I would rate by experience at 3.5 stars rounding down for lack of perceived value. read more

We went here as my daughter never had raising canes and as a true Zaxbys lover she was super excited to try it. We got the tenders and fries and 1 Arnold Palmer and 1 lemonade. Well my story is going to be long but its ends with i will never eat there again and hate the place. I had never eaten there but me and my wife were at a friends house. 4 adults and 3 kids total. I suggested to my wife we should go and buy dinner for all. Her and another wifey head out to get something. A lot of food but only fingers, fries, bread and a gallon of tea. It was a lot of it but i was like this is what you were raving about.? My wife's like wait till you taste the sauce as she realized they had not added any with our order. She's like we were supposed to get sauce. I laughed and said how much was this meal that they forgot to give us the best part. She tells me over 100 dollars and i stopped laughing. It's BUSY and will probably remain hectic for a good 2-4 months before settling into the normal busy that the other Raising Canes get. Clean, simple menu, easy choices and hot food. The tenders are moderately sized, not serving chicken nuggets here. I'm not a mayo person but I do like Cane's sauce. You can ask for extra toast instead of slaw in your combo. Decided to go thru the drive-thru for a snack for my husband and myself. The gentleman working the drive thru was very nice. My food came out quickly. I really enjoyed the garlic bread. The touch of salt added a nice flavor. I don't usually get sweet tea but decided to give it a try. It was really tasty, not too sweet at all. The chicken was crispy and hot but didn't really have any flavor. My husband agreed. But, their sauce took it up a notch. The fries were tasty, too. Drive thru took 30+ minutes on a Thursday night. Pulled up at 940 and got my food at , not alot of cars. The girl who took my order wouldn't even make eye contact just asked "what do you want" and kept staring and talking to her co-worker. The menu is small so it doesn't make sense why they don't have food ready. The staff at the window were nicer though. Unfortunately once you make it in you can't leave. I love the disco balls hanging from the ceiling which creates some kind of fun atmosphere. But the food...the FOOD is worth it! Juicy tenders that are lightly fried and the fresh Texas toast is a good combination. The Cane's sauce is good, however I don't really eat mayo so I didn't finish it. So this place just opened yesterday. It wasnt bad by any means, but absolutely none of the food I ate would compel me to go back. I am willing to give it another try later. Perhaps this was just opening week issues. The place was clean and modern looking, as it should be for a brand new restaurant. However, the dining room is surprisingly small. They did use some of their square footage for outside seating, which for this area is a bit strange. Pretty much no one sits outside in the wintertime here and spring and summer gets ridiculously hot and humid... Whatever. For some reason they had the music (playing top 40) up so loud, that I could barely hear the person ringing me up. I kept asking her to repeat everything. Of course this meant everyone in the restaurant had to yell to anyone else with they were with. I couldnt even block out the noise with earbuds shoved in my ears and listening to a YouTube video. So they dont have a lot of menu options. I have no problem with that, its actually kind of a nice change from having too many options at other places. Its chicken fingers or a chicken sandwich. I went with chicken fingers. You also get coleslaw, Texas toast, and fries. You also get a cup of Cane's sauce to dip your chicken in. So the good: The chicken fingers were huge. They are not skimping there. They were cooked well and juicy. There were plenty of fries, as well. The Texas toast was a decent size, as well. The amount of coleslaw was just right - I wouldnt want more. Now the bad: Absolutely none of the food's flavor was remarkable in any way, shape or form. You know the phrase "Turn it up to 11?" They did the opposite. They turned the flavor down to 1. If I have you a piece of chicken from Chic-fil-A, Popeyes, or KFC, you would instantly recognize it. Raising Cane's chicken fingers tasted like chicken fingers. There was nothing special about it at all. Thats where the Cane's sauce comes in, right? You are expecting an explosion of flavor or spice or something from this purposefully named sauce. Well... It was kind of subtle as well, which is surprising since I just looked up whats in it. Honestly, based on my first visit to Raising Cane's, I would prefer CFA, KFC, or Popeyes. However, I am going to give them another chance.
