Bojangles chicken sandwich is so good. It makes me sad that there isn't a location near me, but being able to eat there during vacation makes me happy. We both had the Bo's Chicken Sandwich, or whatever it's called. It's spicy, but won't blow your head off unless you're super sensitive to spice. I'm trying to be understanding of a situation I don't suffer from, and hope I never do. Spicy is life for me. The sandwich is minimal on toppings, but I think that's another reason it's so perfect. Jeremy also devoured two pieces of chicken. Unfortunately, the "steak" biscuit was inedible. The chicken fried patty was like a hockeypuck. Dense, unpleasant in the mouth, and ended up in the garbage. He did eat the biscuit though. I've only ever been to one other bojangles, in Myrtle Beach, and I seem to remember a wider menu selection. I love Bojangles and my experience at this location cemented my love. The servers were so kind and polite. Yes, ma'am this and that. I got a Cajun filet biscuit, sweet tea and blueberry Bo-berry biscuits. Everything was delicious, I brought one bo-berry biscuit home for my husband and he was pleased to have it. Once you walk in it's clean and inviting. You walk up to the counter and they have a cafeteria style counter with chicken and sides to serve behind glass. The customer service was spot on. That's where they shine. The cashier was very engaging, upbeat and gave great suggestions for me who has never been. The food was okay at best the star of the show was there crunchy chicken sandwich. It had great crunch with a nice toasted bun with nice pickle action to tie it all in. Then I added their buffalo sauce which kicked up a notch and gave it the right depth and dimension. Their sauces are very delicious as well from there buffalo, honey mustard, ranch (made in house), bbq and bo special sauce . The fries were mid at best they were soggy and limp and not uniform so smaller pieces over cooked while larger pieces under cooked. But dip them in the house made ranch and it does help some. My gf got a popcorn chicken meal with mash potatoes and gravy which look pretty good with a biscuit (which I tried and really like a lot). But the overall experience was just okay for me to the point I might not return for lunch or dinner (now I have heard from folks their claim to fame is breakfast they knock it out the park so I'd like to try that plus if someone got fried chicken take out I'd like to try that as well) Honestly though there was no major wow I got to have it again factors. read more

With the incredible decline of KFCs in the area I finally decided to come try Bojangles and let me tell you I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. At first it seems a little quiet in the lobby which I have a busy lobby good food mentality, but I was greeted by a very lovely lady that helped me and my daughter through the menu and decide what we would like. She even explained to my little one that some of the chicken is hot even though it doesn't tell you that. We ended up getting a kids 2 pc and I got the Bo sandwich. Came with fries and drink. And I had to try a piece of chicken to see if I found my KFC substitute. EVERYTHING was hot and fresh and delicious. My only complaint is the sandwich was a little small for 9 dollars but was very tasty and you get a very healthy amount of fries. I pop by this Bojangles when I find myself out in Winchester. This time the family wanted sonic - but I wanted Bojangles so I ordered the 3 piece tenders with mash potatoes to-go (before we headed to sonic for them). Everyone stole my food! lol The tenders were really good. Not overly salty and well rounded tender with no fat inside. The honey mustard dip they gave me was nice and thick. The mash Potatoes were a thick mixture of potatoes and gravy all in one. I really enjoyed that part. The biscuits were buttery and flaky. I also got a sweet tea - which was mostly filled with ice and only lasted a few sips. Overall I was really happy I made the stop! The food was better than what the family got at sonic - so everyone stole part of my food! Next time I think I will go for the 5 tender special. read more

My bad experience was back in June with Bojangles.. The 12 piece Chicken with individual pieces were unusually small and we got four drumsticks and two thighs. I complained to the Manager over the phone and made them aware of my poor experience. They offered me a free chicken lunch or whatever they had I don't exactly remember but they took my information for their records. After all this time I finally went back to this Restaurant today and they couldn't find my information in their book. At first they were going to give me the 12 piece chicken but this was not what they had offered me I only wanted what they promised. Normally I like this place. The workers there are friendly and helpful. Yesterday I had to forage dinner on my own and run some errands. Then as driving out of the Martins parking lot Bojangles was right there, and so I went in. Ordered a 2 piece fried chicken dinner with red beans and coleslaw.. Got my tray and sat down to eat , then after picking apart what was supposed to be a thigh. Eating a funny colored grayish flesh ball tucked into what looked like a bottom of s skeleton.In all my years cooking to come across what I think was the back haunches if a rat.Come to think of it ( I have eaten squirrels as s hunter) the meat was weirdly sweet as well. Im a big fan of bojangles. Today was my first time going to this particular location, the food was amazing but the customer service was really upsetting. I had a coupon so I went in the drive thru ordered what I wanted and when I pulled up to the window I handed over my coupon. The young man ringing me up seemed a bit confused so he asked his manager and so she came and took 2 seconds to just tap the screen and came back to the window to tell me that I need to tell them I have a coupon before pulling up to the window in the most condescending tone and made it a bigger deal than it was. Very nasty way of approaching customers. It was a small mistake, I didnt know I needed to say I had a coupon beforehand and theres absolutely no need what so ever to make people feel stupid. read more

When I found out we could hike Maryland Heights and then drive less than 30 minutes for Bojangles, I was SO EXCITED. Being a southern transplant to MD, I have missed you Bojangles. Here's the deal people- I made the same mistake as many of you and got the wrong thing, thinking Bojangles was gross after that. If you're just trying Bojangles for the first time as many of you are, my recommendation is the Cajun filet biscuit combo with fries and sweet tea. Get extra seasoning for your fries. And there absolutely IS honey for your food, it's tasty on your biscuit, I recommend it. The one star is for the biscuit, which was a five star biscuit. The rest of the food, and the dining experience, were awful. The "tailgate" box, according to the giant sign, includes a half gallon of sweet tea. We ordered it, and they put on our ticket, no half gallon. When I questioned, they gave us two small cups and said we could drink all we wanted while we were there. Strike one. We ordered mashed potatoes and gravy. To our dismay, it was sausage gravy...Strike two Really!? On mashed potatoes!? Gross. I said we did not want sausage gravy so we got mac and cheese, which was complete mush with no flavor. Strike three The chicken was so greasy, you could dab it with a napkin. Strike four The biscuit, again, was great. However, there was no honey or jam. Strike five. 1 Star for customer service at the Drive Thru. The employee this morning had the personality of a dishrag. She Acted as though the ketchup packets were coming out of her salary and we only got 2 biscuits and had to pull forward and wait on our third...no apology...just an overall atmosphere that they are doing the customers a favor. Someone yelled not to let us leave because we were missing a biscuit. I asked how long because I didn't want the food we had received already to get cold waiting on the food THEY forgot. Someone from inside yelled '2 minutes' very unprofessional. Honestly our entire order should have been remade. In addition, Customers mind a wait much less when you are pleasant and don't give the impression YOU are being inconvenienced. This was your average Bojangles'. We stopped her for breakfast. The service was fast and friendly. The biscuits were hot and tasty. I got the chicken biscuit and the kids got sausage egg and cheese biscuits. No one had complaints. The biscuits seem to real buttermilk biscuits possibly made in house.
