TL;DR: Amazing food and milkshakes! Market Burger is our guilty pleasure. We've even joked about moving to Purcellville just to be closer to it. Whether it's a first date or your fiftieth, this spot always hits the mark. Food (5/5): My go-to order is a double patty burger ($12) (single patty burger is $10), loaded with herb mayo, American cheese, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, and a fried egg (+$1), plus a full order of fries. The burger is juicy, flavorful, and totally satisfying. If you're dining with someone, go for the full order of fries ($8). If you're solo, the half order is perfect. The food comes out on a big circular tray with your burgers and fries spread out. Messy and delicious! They also serve fantastic milkshakes in vanilla, chocolate, or coffee ($9). You can add Snickers, Oreos, or Heath bars for $1. The coffee shake is my personal favorite, and it's made with real coffee! Their fries are on another level. Sometimes they have weird fries specials that are a must-try! They used to have it all the time, now it's a rare surprise. Service (5/5): Service is quick and friendly. On the rare occasion they get your order wrong, they fix it right away. Ambiance (5/5): It's a fast-casual spot tucked into historic downtown Purcellville. You order at the counter, give your name, and grab a table. Sometimes they bring the food out to your table, sometimes you pick it up. Inside, the walls are lined with historic photos of the town. There are about six tables indoor and a picnic table outside on the corner. Free public parking is available just across the street.

Great hole-in-the-wall burger spot. Saw that it was rated one of the best in NOVA so had to try it out. The burger was awesome. You can tell it is high quality meat and toppings. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger with pickles. I also ordered the regular fries and a vanilla shake. The fries were very good, a bit on the saltier side, but balanced out with the rest of the meal. The shake was good, but I did not think it was over-the-top incredible. I thought the burger was a good value. The fries were too based on how much you get, but the full portion size was so huge that you cannot finish it yourself. It is best split amongst 2 or 3. Apparently there are half sizes, but it is not advertised on the hand paper menu, so I did not know it was an option. The overall price of the meal gets to be a lot if you factor in burger, fries, shake. If I were to come back, I would would do just the burger and a half order of fries, and skip the rest.

I was in the area and decided to give this place a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The burgers are cooked to order and are customizable. They use a brioche type bun that did a good job holding up and didn't get soggy. The meat was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The fries are fresh. I observed them using a fry cutting machine to make them. Btw, one order of fries goes a long way; it is enough for 2-4 people depending on how hungry you are. For reference, I posted a picture of 2 orders of fries. I also tasted their milkshake and it was divine. If you're looking for a good burger give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. Service was friendly and quick.

Market Burger, in Purcellville Virginia, provides one of the best, freshest, juiciest, hamburger offerings I've had in the DMV. A plain storefront, with maybe four or six tables, you order at the front, and they deliver your meal to your table. I ordered the double patty burger with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, pickled jalapeños, and homemade dill pickles. Having a dairy allergy, I asked The gentleman taking my order, if my allergy could be accommodated He said that he would make sure that there was no cheese around the burger that was being made for me, and that the bun would not be coated with butter, and that the fryers did not contain any cross contamination To the food The burger was cooked perfectly medium. It was uniformly cooked with a pink red center throughout with a wonderful char crust on each side of the burger from being grilled The pickled jalapeños were outstanding. They were not overly sweet and had just the right bite. You can tell that they were homemade. The dill pickle slices were also obviously homemade because of their delicate flavoring and smooth texture The fries. If you get the full order of fries, be warned that there are enough fries for two or three people. I can assure there wasn't one fry left on my plate though. They are shoestring fries, double fried with a very nice crisp texture. Perfectly salted and seasoned. Just a friendly atmosphere, a great burger, outstanding toppings, and wonderful fries. An hour drive from my home, but I assure you I will come back.

10/10 burgers!! This is a very small establishment and might be an unassuming hole in the wall but their food is absolutely amazing. You can tell most of their ingredients are locally sourced on their menu and it really adds to the quality and taste. We got the old bay fries, sweet potato fries, and a bunch of different burgers the and I would recommend any of them. The service was also amazing as the cashiers were super friendly and willing to answer any and all questions.

Outstanding hamburgers, meat quality and taste were fantastic! I had the double burger with a bunch of toppings, my wife had the single with no bun. We had the sweet potato fries and the hand cut fries. Both were good, I actually enjoyed the hand cut fries the most. Brioche bun, very fresh ingredients. Highly recommended. If you're looking for an awesome hamburger, this is the place!

Went to Magnolias today for a family brunch, and this place rarely disappoints. The New York strip…read morewas cooked perfectly. The lacquered salmon wasn't at its best this time, but it was still pretty good. Their assortment of desserts is always well presented, and everything on the buffet stays fresh. The staff constantly comes back to refill the trays with eggs, bacon, fruit, cheeses, and plenty of other choices. I heard the Belgian waffles were a little heavier and not as light as usual, but I typically avoid waffles at an all-you-can-eat brunch anyway--they're mostly filler. If waffles trip your trigger, though, they're there. It's a little pricey, but if you stick with the beef and fish and have a couple of good platefuls, you'll leave full and feeling like you got your money's worth. Magnolias continues to be a dependable choice for a family brunch.

Accordingly, I recommended it to my parents for a special meal, and round two was not as good. We were sat upstairs, which detracted from the ambience substantially, but worse was our server. From the moment she greeted us, we could tell she did not want to be there. She brought red wine in white wine glasses and a bread basket with only three pieces to a table of four people. I pointed this out and requested more bread, so that each of us could have a piece, but she never returned with more as she agreed to do. (Eventually a different server brought us more bread upon second request.) After food was served, I don't recall seeing her to check in until we'd finished eating. Absolutely unacceptable when you're waiting on a table that's putting down more than $250 before tip. Food wise, pretty happy. Fried green tomato was good; pincaha was salty but well cooked (chimichurri overpowering); duck was nice; and pastas were rich. I'd be back but specify that I want a table on the main floor, not upstairs between the bathroom and kitchen. I'd also be on the lookout for the redheaded waitress with the chip on her shoulder.

This is "Greek-style" and not a Greek eatery. What a disappointment. I do so love Greek food which…read morelured me here, so I write this as a cautionary review. Whats more sad is that I paid $15 for something that isn't at all as advertised. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Greek Salad as I love grilled meat. Never have I had souvlaki in over a dozen voyages to Greece that was wet boiled or microwaved, as this chicken seemed to be. Souvlaki are grilled skewers. This place should NOT sell the pile of bland, blond, wet chicken breast as "souvlaki." The "Greek" salad was sad. No other way to describe it. It had the ingredients of a Greek salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber) but the feta was meager and there were no onions. The tzatziki was more akin to ranch dressing (not made with yogurt- real Greek yogurt would hold a spoon standing in it. This was almost liquid.) ) and the pita was a doughy, cheap substitute. Their listing says fresh bread, and this pita was not so much. The owner seems nice and personable, and I wish him well but I also wish he would pay more attention to the product he delivers, especially if they call it, Greek. UPDATE from owners rebuttal: I write fair reviews as I experience the food. The issue is not whether you have fresh ingredients or quality chicken: it is clearly stated what you served was just not souvlaki in anyway, it was wet sautéed chicken and that was not traditional tzatziki. It was tzatziki-like sauce. Period. If you go to a pizza place to buy a pizza and you get high quality toasted bread with excellent tomato sauce and good mozzarella- it's still not a pizza, no matter the quality, and you shouldn't call it a pizza. I don't deny you are Greek, proud or otherwise, just serve what you advertise. Good luck to you too!

I've been here a few times now to get our Greek fix in Purcellville. My Deli & Cafe is easy to…read morelocate - it's one of the front shops located in Old Theatre Centre (an old movie theater), off of East Main Street. They have a few parking spots in the front with additional parking in the back. I would say this is more of a deli/sandwich shop featuring a few Greek items on the menu (gyros, dolmades, souvlaki, etc.) as opposed to a full-on Greek bistro/cafe. I will note that their catering does have more Greek variety (pastichio, spanakopita, moussaka, etc.). We called in a pick-up order for lunch. Online ordering is also available on DoorDash. Food was ready for pick-up within 15 minutes. I got the regular gyro on pita bread (just the sandwich, not the platter - the platter comes with a side salad... I wish they had fries as a side option instead of chips or a salad, but if they're not really frying anything else, I get it... but I digress). The gyro came with a good amount of thick slices of the gyro meat (which is a mix of beef and lamb), tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce. I'm used to red onions served with my gyro, but they used white onions instead (not a big deal, but the red onions give the gyro a different bite). The gyro came in a thick, fresh pita and a small handful of potato chips (I wasn't aware that the sandwich came with any sides, so the chips were a nice surprise). No complaints about my gyro, but I would've liked some feta on my gyro and more tzatziki. I think next time, I would get the platter because then I could use the salad to add some more toppings and sauce to the gyro. Overall, the gyro was a good, filling serving size for me, and the price was reasonable at $11 for the gyro (it's $13 for the gyro platter aka gyro + side salad). We also ordered the King Gyro on pita bread (double portion of meat; $15) and the Gyro Salad ($15). The king size's gyro portion was definitely more substantial, and it also came with a handful of potato chips plus an extra container of tzatziki. The Gyro Salad was a simple Greek salad with gyro meat and pita pieces. Dressing and tzatziki were served on the side, and it was topped with feta. The veggies were fresh and crisp - again, no complaints. We also ordered a Reuben ($13) thinking it would be a classic Reuben served on rye, but note that they only have two bread options - a sub roll or pita bread. Ours was served on the roll, so it ended up being more of a Reuben sub/panini. The sandwich was still enjoyable, but it wasn't what we were expecting. My Deli & Cafe is a solid lunch option in Purcellville. Support local!
