The Tempranillo was delicious. I also really enjoyed their red blend. The winery is very nice with great outdoor seating, fire pits, and a view. So glad we drove the distance to come taste out here. read more

I consider myself an oenophile, and I particularly like Spanish varietals. I was happy to see a winery that focuses on these great wines. The staff are fantastic. Jeff (tasting room manager) set up a tasting reservation for a group of six on Easter weekend, and he was happy to accommodate any preferences among varietals. Other staff members were gracious and allowed us to revisit any wine tasted. Overall, both white and red varietals are fantastic. If you prefer white wines, you must definitely try the Albarino and garnacha blanca. For those who like their reds: the graciano, tempranillo and trencadis are definitely wines to taste. Bokisch really has cornered the market for Spanish varietals in Lodi. I have yet to taste a single wine here that did not hit the mark. They have fantastic reds and whites, something is sure to match your palate. Their location is absolutely beautiful, several times we have purchased a bottle and just hung out overlooking the vineyards. The whites were better than the reds. The tasting room and grounds are nice but not exceptional like some others in the area. The atmosphere is laid back whereas many others in the area are elegant and upscale. The wine pourers weren't particularly engaging which is one of our favorite parts about tasting. It's worth it once to see the view over the vineyards, but we won't be regulars here. read more

We stopped by this place at 4:50pm today and didnt have a good experience. The lady working said she already started the dish washer so she was not able to accommodate us. It is unfortunate because we heard really good things about this winery. I understand employees would like to go home at a decent time, however when people walk in before 5pm. During this time of quarantine, being away from home, (Lodi, ca) family, and friends makes this even harder. I called my favorite winery in Lodi to get a taste of home sent to me in Southern California. I spoke with Kristine in the tasting room and she helped me pick out an arrangement of wonderful wines. They were here within three to four days, so fast! As I have been enjoying this fabulous wine I can't help but think of how beautifully organized the tasting room, winery and wine club all are at Bokisch. If you are looking for a place to enjoy family fun with the only rolling hills of vineyards and oak trees with the best wine in town, Bokisch is the place to go. Spent a wonderful day wine tasting in Lodi, and our final destination was Bokisch. I am so glad it was our last of the day because if it was the first, we might not have tried the next! Great wine, interesting varietals (Graciano, Tempranillo, Trencadis (blend)). Such a nice personable staff, very knowledgeable, and just super nice people. First off if your looking for a good winery to sit down with a group of friends/family and enjoy your time DO NOT GO HERE! The wine tasting manger is rude and unprofessional. I felt disrespected by how he poured his tasting for us ladies (which was not a normal tasting size) and how he "cut us off" after our 6th tasting when we were informed by the ladies working when we first walked in it was opened for all 12 tastings the day we were there. Not only that but he even tried to charge our party of 9 for more tasting then what we actually owed. I even explain to him that people in our party had bought bottles of wine and some had paid for their own tastings. He didn't believe us, I had to explain to him a 2nd time and he finally just charged us the remaining of what we owed which was 3 tastings not 6 like he stated. And I'm sure he still didn't believe us because how he answered us with his sarcasm. Honestly, I have been to few winery's in Lodi and in Livermore area and this one is by most the WORST one I have been to. The two younger ladies in the tasting room where very nice and respectful and they poured a normal size tasting like many other winery's do. They also explained to us which wines we were drinking. I actually feel bad for them to have to work/deal with a man like that. Over all if your still going to come try this winery don't deal with the tasting Manger. Trust me he's a total waste of your time. Most recommended winery in Lodi would be St. Jorge winery. Its very very beautiful and all the wines were absolutely amazing. Also amazing service. They totally made us feel at home. When we came in it was a little busy and they asked us how many and they took our big party of 9 and opened the back room for us. You must go to ST. JORGE WINERY! The wines here were very nice. They are Spanish varietals - light and very flavorful. Their old vine zin is made in the Spanish way - flavorful and spicy- not big and jammy like most Lodi zins. The tasting room sits above the vineyard and has great views. They are a little far from town, but well worth the trip. Their whites are dry and flavorful - a red drinker would have no problem drinking these. Start your tasting here and work your way back towards town. You won't be disappointed. read more

Spanish varietals are a huge hit with me and that is just what Bokisch has! A few of my favorites were the Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Garnacha Blanca. The view can't be beat sitting by a fire pit in the comfy lounge chairs and watching the sunset! I love looking out over the vineyards and giant trees and feeling like I've been transported away from Lodi. Tastings are really cheap compared to other Lodi wineries, and I never get a tasting fee when I buy a bottle. Jeff, the tasting manager, is incredibly knowledgeable about Bokisch's process and history. You can not beat the view and picnic spot they have.
