Dr. Doug Mindlins are both incredibly patient, gentle, caring, and thorough veterinarians. Over the years, they've helped our cats through eye infections, cyst growth, heart murmurs, parasites, and more, and we always felt our cats were in very good hands. The pricing has also always felt very fair no hidden fee, and before any more expensive tests, they always took the time to explain and ask first, which we really appreciated. The vet assistants are also absolutely amazing and so kind, and the front desk staff are always warm, friendly, and super quick when we need receipts or SOAP notes. I have had experience there with my black lab and now with my rescued stray cat. I had previously been able to get my reluctant cat into his carrier for his appointment where he received a consultation and then medication but the follow up appointment had to be canceled because he would not go in! Anyway, I was embarrassed but Dr. Hutson called and said not to worry, that I was doing all the right things administering his medication and we could share his progress or do that follow up if necessary--an amazing response and I am so appreciative of her, Brooke, LeAnn and Edie. In June 2026 I took my 11 year old 18 pound cat to Dr Hutson for a routine check to see if she had…read morearthritis. Dr. Hutson took my precious cat in the back room where they take x-rays. She came back out with my cat and said everything looks good that there was only minor arthritis in one hip. My cat never needed any veterinary care except getting her nails cut. As the visit ended Dr. Hutson matter of factly recommended a once a month shot to help with mobility and any pain. Without any mention of possible side effects or the possible dangers/risk profile to an 11 year old 18 pound cat or any cat for that matter she took her in the back room she gave her 2 vials of a cat drug called Solensia . She made it sound quite harmless almost like a vitamin b12 shot. 2-3 days later my cat stopped eating and drinking, started throwing up intermittently and began hiding under the bed. She had developed bad pancreatitis. It was obvious something was very wrong. I took her back to Dr. Hutsons practice where a different doctor attended to her. They took blood and gave her fluids. They sent me home with my cat and there was no improvement. The sad ending to this story is after 2 emergency animal clinics trying to save her she had to be put to sleep 2 weeks to the day Dr. Hutson injected my baby. I am destroyed my best friend died in this manner. I got one phone call after I left a voice message expressing my dismay and Dr. Hutson responded only with an I'm sorry. She never even reached out after my cat had to be put to sleep/ We as a family are heartbroken as is her twin brother whose health also at risk now due to mourning his dead twin sister. My advice to anyone reading this tragic tale, find another Vet

Having a mobile veterinarian that does house calls is a game changer! Having Dr. Zafir & Heather are the absolute best! I am immune compromised now & disabled so I was specifically looking for a veterinarian who not only does house calls but who would wear an N95 respirator for me in my home. When I called Dr. Zafir he answered and was so kind and helpful & accommodating. I was very impressed with his bio and the reviews and the great website with photos & videos. I appreciated everything from the follow up calls to confirm the time prior to the appointment. When Dr. Zafir & Heather arrive md at my home I met them outside with sealed N95s the 3M aura which are the comfortable medical grade respirator masks and they greeted me warmly and I immediately felt safe even before they entered my home. The exam was brilliantly and flawlessly done in my bathroom with my kitten. My kitten has been scared since he got here but he was purring during the exam and let Heather & Dr. Zafir hold him and do everything they needed to do. I had an instant rapport with both of them and felt at ease and super impressed with how easy and stress free they made the exam process. This is so much easier for both the pets and pet parents for a multiple reasons as well as keeping a healthy pet safe and not picking up anything from sick pets in a waiting room at an animal hospital (which I used to witness all the time). I highly recommend Dr. Zafir & Heather for their outstanding service! My kitty agrees they are purrfection and pawsitivly marvelous. I absolutely adore them & am so grateful to have found them!
