Pete, my 7 year old black cat had his teeth cleaned without anesthesia on Thursday! No fasting, or blood work and no risk from anesthesia or recovery time. Pete did great! Not just saving $ but less trauma for cat and less risk. Special Dental tech comes to their office once a month. Professor, his brother from another mother, is scheduled for October. My puppy had some issues with diarrhea and not eating after her spay, so I took her here to get checked out. Dr. Johnson was initially an acceptable Vet--my dog was taken to the Vet often as she was an older dog. Exams were not always comprehensive and Dr. Johnson and her staff missed a cancerous tumor on my dog which ended up being fatal. After expressing my dismay and disappointment, Dr. Johnson became very angry and retaliated by treating my dog in a very rough manner. I was told that she would meet me before so that all questions would be answered. Bottom line.. I was told to come and meet her the day before but they were going to charge a consult fee. I like this vet clinic, I have three cats and in the past few months we have had three rounds of vaccines (they do 3 year vaccines), bloodwork, dental surgery, dental cleanings and an injured paw. We see Dr. Vladimir and Jen does the dental. Everyone in the clinic has been very professional and friendly. They work with you - they give you options, and are transparent about pricing, they also cap dental surgery at $2,000 which is great. Everything is explained, dental records are provided to you. I had originally gone to Magnolia to put my very sick cat to sleep. 6 months later my other cat had to be put down and died on the way to Magnolia. I can't describe how wonderful and caring the entire staff was. I said I would never get another cat (they were both very old) but here I am with a brand new kitty. After searching and searching for a vet i was comfortable trusting with my babies i finally found one!! i took my dog to banfield for a year and was never truly satisfied with anything that they offered me, but at magnolia they make sure to always work with you and make sure that they are doing the best by you and your furbaby. The office is clean and well organized. they have 3 or 4 exam rooms that are all painted different bright colors. Right when you walk in the front door is the front desk where the staff is sitting and greet you with a smile right away. the wait time is always short, i have never waited more than 5 minutes to be seen for an appointment. the vet techs are all really friendly and you can tell that they all really love their jobs and every pet that comes in to the office. they go as far to get down on the floor with my dogs and make sure that they are comfortable with them before checking them out. Dr. Fayman is really sweet as well. both the doctor and the vet techs always make sure they educate you on everything that they are doing before they do it to make sure that you fully understand everything down to what each individual vaccine is for. They make sure that you have all of the information that you need to ensure your pet is healthy. talking to them i do not feel like it is all about the dollar signs like i have with other vets in the past. i feel like the truly care about my dogs and want to make sure they are as healthy as possible! I met the Dr several years ago, let's say 2012, my baby Morris was on his final days and she was so accommodating, to our needs and sensitive to our feelings. Two years later my baby girl Dino got sick and Dr JJ respected my decision. My two first kitties lived a good life, but both died early in my opinion (12 years, 14 years respectively). After visiting this place twice now I am so surprised at how enjoyable both experiences were. I am a long term pet owner and have visited many vet offices. And my grandfather was a vet as well. That being said, after walking into magnolia I am always greeted by such warm smiles and friendly faces. The services are always great and having a frenchie, we need to go often for skin care and other services. The techs are also great and very friendly and knowledgeable. Magnolia also never overcharges us and usually gives us a price that's a great value, esp in south Florida. I am so glad I tried them out and you will be too! After three visits, I'm ready to switch vets and I don't do this lightly. Whatever the comments here, I have found Dr Johnson on more than one occasion to be standoffish and not particularly friendly. In addition, there seem to be (too?) many people around this office but oddly, there still is a longer than expected wait even when it is empty. And today's experience with a highly obnoxious and uppity vet tech (and no apology from Dr. Johnson who witnessed the event) put the icing on the cake. I've had cats for many a year and only here have I had to "make a switch." While obnoxiousness may be second nature and widely accepted in this part of the world, I don't and will never buy into it nor will I accept it from anyone or anything. Good riddance! Followup: Their response to me is nonsensical and ridiculous plus they clearly know what they did as all were there. Interestingly none (with the exception of original reviews posted after mine) of their other "replies" were posted until after I posted this review. Can you say "damage control?" After an aspiration biopsy, which was done at about 2:30pm on Tuesday, my kitty developed problems which led to her death about 9 hours later. I call the office in the evening looking for help. Since the office was closed, I was referred to an emergency clinic which could not be contacted. I got a repeated message saying, cannot go through please call back later. At which point I called the office back and left a frantic message then had to start looking for a 24hr E.R. while my baby was in distress. Two hours later Ms. Einstein was dead. If Dr. Johnson does not have adequate follow up she should not be performing any invasive procedure. It is now 1:15 pm the next day and I have not heard anything from the Magnolia Veterinary Clinic. No response to my frantic phone call or a follow up to see how my cat is doing after her procedure. Of course I am sad about my loss but I am angry about the total disregard for the health of my cat. read more

Took my cat to Magnolia today. She has been on thyroid medication from a previous vet who hasn't followed up or offered us an alternative to medication. I had to look up "radioiodine" therapy to find this is a cure, not a $50/month lifetime medication. We took her to see Dr. Johnson at Magnolia who gave her a thorough checkup. She noticed her liver seemed off as well based on the blood work done by the previous vet (who never mentioned it.) Dr. Johnson also spoke to us about the radioiodine therapy. She was kind, very professional and answered any and all questions we had. Her staff is also very caring and truly understanding. We will be taking our "kids" there from now on. They also presented a negative outlook for my pet before the test results came in. To add insult to injury, I was scolded for not wearing my mask correctly.
