By the time we arrived, he had ascertained an antidote and within 15 minutes, our dog returned to normal. His table side manner was A+. Also the entire staff was kind, empathetic and professional. They charged a very fair and reasonable amount for the service provided. I would highly recommend this place for a pet emergency.

Please be aware this place preys on your desperation with the final objective of ripping you off…read more Yes, I am definitely mad an angry for how we an our pet were treated at this place, and now, after a week of the incident, calmed and with my dog fully recovered, I wanted to share our experience and provide evidence supporting my claims. Of course, before writing this review, I made a formal complaint through DBPR who is supposed to investigate and provide licenses for these establishments. Hope they look into this. Anyway, we came to this establishment (VEG ER for Pets) to bring our dog that just had a small leg injury. Without even checking the pet, the dog was needled for IV and was applied different pain medicines without any consultation. Several procedures took place thereafter including X rays and so (again, without consultation). At this stage, no veterinary had yet even look at the dog's leg. A veterinary came to us after a while with a long list of procedures the dog was being subjected to, and that we had to approve and pay in advance in order to continue. Different doctors and nurses at the establishment explained to us many absurd things that could be happening to our dog from a massive internal bleeding, to spinal cord fracture just to name a few. They have not even examined the leg yet, and actually never did. Since we were reluctant to sign the approval for the procedures they wanted to carry out, they left us alone clearly knowing that we were nervous and worried about all the unfounded diagnosis they have shared with us (clearly meant to generate fear). We decided to take our dog and leave, not before after they made us pay them $600 without any clarity under what basis were they charging this. I can certainly probe that all the procedures this establishment wanted to carry out were unnecessary and were meant just to increase the bill. That same night we left VEG ER for Pets with our pet and went to another veterinary where our dog was cured and treated completely differently for the same injury. The list of procedures at this establishment is completely different. The doctor quickly cleaned and look at the wound upon arrival, no IV was necessary though they did administer some medicine and did a X Ray to ensure everything was OK. In contrast, the list of procedures from VEG includes so many items that were total unnecessary and unfounded. Below, just a few of the things that appeared in VEG's list: Laceration Repair E-collar Peripheral Catheter Penrose Drain Lactated Ringers And there were so many more blood tests and medicines that the list is 3 pages long, while in the other establishment is just bandage, some medicines, x rays and that is it. I have shared the two establishment's lists of procedures with DBPR's officers for the investigation.

We arrived at the clinic late at night with our kitten, who had a large and deep abdominal wound, and were promptly attended to. From the beginning, everything was handled with clarity and professionalism. We were provided with detailed information about the surgical procedure, which helped us feel informed and reassured during a stressful situation. The pricing was also more reasonable compared to other clinics, and we appreciated the availability of QR codes linking to resources for emergency financial assistance. Additionally, the clinic offered a meaningful discount for cash payment, which made a significant difference for us. Overall, I am extremely grateful for the care my kitten received. Thanks to Dr. Kiser and his team, he is now safely back home and recovering well.

We waited a very reasonable time to be seen by Dr. Schneider, who was excellent. She flushed my rabbit's nasal passages to remove any hay that might have been stuck, then prescribed meds. The tech and front desk were equally as pleasant and thorough. My rabbit is fine today and I wouldn't hesitate to take either of my bunnies for care during off-hours when my regular exotic vet isn't available. The facility was very clean and conveniently located.

Over the last 3 months, Leo has been a daily visitor to his vet to treat the wounds. He had multiple surgical procedures and daily bandage changes, as well as numerous prescriptions. He had little to no appetite which was coupled with a persistent fever. We had two instances where we visited VEG ER, once for an emergency procedure and another to help with a wound cleaning. The customer service and care we received was excellent. I'm happy to say that after some real touch-and-go periods, Leo seems to have turned the corner and is on his was to recovery. Thank you VEG ER for assisting in Leo's recovery!!!

Alvarez explained they did have the tools and the staff to examine her, diagnosis etc. 5 or 6 women were very friendly, but while doing ultrasound asking each other if the size was too big for a cat. Later I learned they were talking about the intestines. These are not veterinarians. The do have the tools, but is not the place to take a pet for a serious illness or accident. This is an urgent clinic with no PA just pet loving people without education, credentials or experience to work, but they charge as experienced veterinarians.

From the very beginning, they made sure not only that Dirk was being cared for, but that I was supported as well during a very difficult time. Every interaction felt thoughtful and genuine. The staff took the time to answer questions, walk me through options, and ensure I felt informed and not alone in the decisions I had to make. What meant the most to me, though, was what happened after. I received (handwritten) signed condolence cards from their staff. That small but meaningful gesture spoke volumes about the kind of people they are. It showed that they truly care - not just about the pets they treat, but about the families who love them. Even though this was an incredibly hard experience, I'm grateful that Dirk and I were surrounded by people who treated us with such kindness and respect. Thank you for taking care of him, and for taking care of me.

What I will tell you in short is that they will act overly concerned, will not have any sense of urgency, will do everything they can do to drag it out so your dog stays there. They will also try to convince you to leave your dog there for "observation" all while the clock is ticking and money is racking up. They also took our dog to the back and said she was resting while they watched her, yet when they brought her back to me two hours later, she reeked of pee. She does not ever pee in the house unless she is outside. Would I ever go here ever again, never ever would. There are other quality emergency vets that will take you as a priority, treat you with compassion, and not keep you there forever while the clock ticks and the money goes up. Attached is a photo for context My little dog had a cold, and I came in with him. I was literally escorted outside in the patio area in the heat where some patients hang out waiting for their ride or whatever. I had to ask for a lady to move her purse from the "exam table" so the nurse could take my dog's temperature (he did not have a fever like i told them). They then still proceeded to make us wait outside and literally make the doctor come to us. This is a hospital and emergency place first, maybe have grooming and boarding clients go to another separate section with its own door rather than have a sick animal wait outside or separate the sick and scared pet from its owner for the nurse to literally walk the exact same way inside and still spread any virus around. If it's still the same door and same inside walk, then how is any virus not spread if a nurse does it? Anyways, dubious about the science on that one, but most importantly, after 5 years of going there on/off, this was a first for me at this location. If you go to a clinic, the expectation is that pets there are sick, so yes, there will be viruses in the air... if you want to do it all, then make a separate section for sick and non sick pets. Imagine making sick humans wait outside at an urgent care or hospital to not spread viruses to others inside because it is also a nail salon. Not very logical
