I've always been super interested in wrapping my car and finally started shopping for quotes on Yelp. I sent multiple requests to shops in my area and Bold Cars responded with the most reasonable price, so I decided to schedule a same-week appointment to have my roof wrapped in glossy black and maybe chrome delete. To be honest, I had no intention of modifying the entire car going into the appointment but figured why not after looking at pictures and discussing options with Sergui. I decided on getting the body wrapped in beautiful shimmery satin white pearl, the grille and mirror caps in carbon fiber, and the roof/antenna in sleek glossy black. Sergui made sure to send me several pics everyday to keep me updated on progress and I really appreciated that effort from him. This morning, I got pictures of the completed product and I am shocked and amazed at the result. I have not seen my car in person yet, but I am already screaming at the transformation. They are refusing to cover the warranty and claiming that the shop is under new ownership. Same company, same location, same names. They even still have the same database of receipts as they were able to find my receipt. The person on the phone doesn't seem interested in helping at all. If you had previous work done here, beware as they use the excuse of "new ownership" to avoid warranty obligations. I needed to get modifications removed from my Q50RS (exhaust, downpipes, etc.), so I had been shopping around for quotes from different shops for the labor. I came across Bold Cars and spoke with Vino about getting my car reverted back to stock. Keep in mind, they usually work on European cars, but they gladly accepted the work. I was quoted a price I was happy with, showed up the next day, and Vino assured me that it would get done before the end of the day. The work was completed, and in less time than anticipated. Vino was friendly, professional, and reassured me by answering all my questions and listening to my concerns. After the work was completed and I went to pick up my car, he was even kind enough to let pull into one of the bays where they wrap cars, so I could charge my laptop and flash my ECU back to stock. Terrible experience from the start. To get an estimate I was there from 10:45-1:30. The estimate was more than what Tesla themselves charge, so he immediately dropped the estimate $200. Work didn't start for two weeks bc he said he could get the parts cheaper and faster. He did not. He wasted my time. When dropped off car for work he said it's be done in one day. It took four days. When I came to pick it up he said he didn't align it and I'd need to do that. So that's where my $200 savings went. Pathetic. I took the car to an alignment shop and they could not align it within spec, or even close, bc of the new part and installation. When I told bold cars, he said he would call me back. When he didn't I called him back and had already been blocked. Nothing but instant voicemail. I should've known when he said he had an Alpina 7 series. I got a really good price on labor for building my S55 engine. I made an appointment with bold cars, i came in and i saw another s55 build. Their mechanic explained me everything in details and showed me how the process looks like. I can tell that these guys know what they are doing. I replaced the crank hub, pistons and rods. Crank hub is one piece by the way, not two pieces. I am not good on writing reviews but i want to share my experience with you. The build took 3 weeks. I was always informed and kept updated with pictures and videos of my build. I got the car, drove it 2 weeks and it feels perfect. Now we're waiting on PureTurbos.
