I love coffee shops and book shops so I was excited to see Bold Coffee & Books open. I enjoyed browsing the book selection which was varied. I also saw that there were also some events coming up including a few book signings. I got a matcha latte. The quality of matcha was great but next time, I would get it sweetened since it was unsweetened. The service was good and I liked the openness of the space. The decor and seating options were great as well. Overall, Bold Coffee & Books is a great addition to the Goose Hallow Neighborhood.

Super cute! Coffee is good, and a great place to find your next book. A pretty big selection for a cafe, and they had a good mix of best sellers, niche finds, and local indie books for sale. Tons of interior and exterior seating and they have a lot of events for writers and readers.

Paradise for book lovers. This massive bookstore has an incredible selection, with something for every type of reader. I could easily spend hours exploring every corner. One of the highlights is the Rare Book Room, it's fascinating to see these book treasures up close. They even have a copy of The Journals of Lewis and Clark valued at $350K! It's like stepping into a small museum for me. The staff members were friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. The entire store has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes me want to stay longer. highly recommend stopping by. It's one of the places that makes you appreciate the joy of books.

If nothing more than to experience the history of Powell's or if you're searching from some sort of obscure book in physical form. This place has all things a book bug would love to dig through. Aisles and aisles of novels, graphic and otherwise provide for endless amount of time looking over their inventory if you so desire. Personally, I also like looking through what I'd call their impulse buys. Stickers, clothing, tote bags and other assorted "gifts". They have a ton of stuff to choose from and all unique and not mass produced. So take some time while visiting or otherwise and stroll through this piece of history and celebrate its independence!

My Son led me here last weekend when I was in town. There was lots of notebooks, pens, and other stuff to consider, and having a Kinokuniya membership (10% off) was a bonus. David was more interested in the manga books, and we were happy browsing in our own little corners. We both happily came away with a small collection of treasures and a promise to return. There were lots of folks here, making the aisles a little tight. But checkout moved quickly and efficiently.

The store is much larger than the one in Chicago! So of course there was a much wider selection of goods, including a lot more Alien Stage items (know the teens are a fan of this show). We ended up signing up for the annual membership which gives you 10% off your purchase immediately and you rack up points (who doesn't love points) which will add up to more savings. We purchased a hard to find art book. Service was friendly, and answered all the questions we had on the membership, not rushing us at all to make the decision.
