Found the cafe by looking for a coffee shop close to the PSU farmers market to meet a friend before walking the market. True to Keep It Weird Portland fashion and a bit of funk and retro refurbishing the old as new, Wild Rose Coffee did not disappoint. Fun, welcoming and relaxing spot. The music was a tiny bit loud for our conversation and catch up, but I also don't have the greatest hearing either. Service was great. This was the first time visiting for both my friend and I and the barista answered questions and gave us tips before we ordered. Genuinely warm and welcoming. The coffee was a bit heavy on the rose the first few sips, but I did order a vanilla rose latte. I enjoyed it as it blended through my sips and convo. If you are near PSU, I'd recommend dropping in and trying them out!!

This coffee shop used to be Hot Lips Pizza about a year ago. We were driving by to check out my old school and saw this coffee shop. We wanted to get here before they close at 4:00 p.m. on saturday. There is plenty of street parking. They have a few different tables for working or studying, but also have some food including bagels and sandwiches. The two people that we dealt with were very nice and accommodating I can't imagine this place would be very busy during school.

Spacious, but most seating that can accommodate multiple people are occupied by one person. Replacing the long leather bench sofa with a large community table would be a welcomed upgrade. One of their specialities, the iced Matcha Made in Heaven, is clever and satisfying. Nice staff. The food offerings are weak. And there's something missing that would make the place overall cozier. Bathrooms are kinda gross. While I root for their success, it's just an average coffee shop.

Super cute and cozy coffee spot with creative seasonal drinks, as well as your usual espresso drinks. Loved the theme and ambience inside with eclectic trinkets for decoration. We tried the Cookie Latte and French Toast Chai. Both were tasty, albeit being on the sweet side. Totally would like to come back!

Gorgeous retro homey coffee shop with great natural light and plenty tables/comfy seats to lounge or study. Music was lovely and not too loud. Staff were sweet and friendly. I ordered the wildflower latte with lavender and it was perfect. The bacon egg cheese sandwich was mid.

So I did my schooling at PSU and let me start by saying that if wild Rose existed back then I would have frequent this place a lot. We came one cold rainy morning to grab coffee and were really taken in by the old world charm this place exudes yet it was full of young people. Cute knickknacks adorn the walls and multiple seating options offer a good space to hangout or just study . I got my usual order of a cappuccino and the hubby got the golden latte along with a very delicious looking chocolate cookie and Ham and cheese sandwich. The drinks didn't take too long and neither did the food and the staff was sweet enough to even offer to warm it up for us. I must say that warming up the cookie was a great idea because that delicious gooey goodness just increased ten folds. I was not a big fan of the ham and cheese croissant, but the drinks were pretty good. The staff is very sweet and friendly, and the pricing seemed reasonable.

Great place to camp down and study, very close to the university and was filled with students. It's a very cool 70s vibe and cute interior, and the baristas were very friendly. HOWEVER easily the worst caramel iced coffees I've had in Portland.

During my visit to Portland I found this cool spot. Tried the Pecan pie mocha and the sugar and spice latte. Both very good. I thought the sugar and spice was more to my liking. Baristas we're very nice and friendly.

Such a cute coffee shop. Very vintage/artsy atmosphere. Wonderful customer service and lots of menu options. They also have local handmade items and art for sale.

Boba shouldn't ever look like this So transparent, light, and hard!

Ordered a pickup cold brew with boba and sweet foam. service was friendly and great as usual. Boba was absolutely disgusting and I wound up running home to pour the coffee into a new cup so i could toss the boba- it was a horrible texture, like a cross of popping boba and agar jelly. It definitely should have been tossed out/remade 2 hours before. Cold brew was very sour/bitter this time, like sipping on apple cider vinegar. I added a bunch of milk and a shot back at home and it helped a lot, but at that point I may as well have made a coffee at home and saved myself the 8$. Was very disappointed (and a little grossed out) and probably won't come back when Nossa and Ole are so close.

I have mixed feelings about my visit this morning. There is so much to love about the vibe here,…read morebut the actual drink execution left me frustrated. The Pros: First off, the staff is incredibly sweet and friendly. They make you feel welcome the second you walk in. The modern, cool design of the space is top tier. It is exactly the kind of atmosphere you want when grabbing a coffee in Portland. I also love their progressive approach to dairy; they default to plant based milks and there is no upcharge for them, which is a huge win for accessibility and sustainability. The Cons: Unfortunately, the experience was completely undercut by the quality of the pour. The oat milk curdled almost immediately. I am well aware that Stumptown uses a more naturally acidic brew, which is a science experiment waiting to happen with plant milks, and I know it is technically safe to drink. However, the separation completely ruins the mouthfeel. Instead of a creamy, cohesive sip, I was left with a watery base and grainy floaties. It is disappointing to be told that this is normal when specialty cafes have the tools like barista grade buffers and temperature control to prevent this. While the ethics and the aesthetic are on point, a drink that looks and feels curdled just is not an acceptable standard to serve to customers. Summary: Great people, great space, great pricing, but the technical execution of the plant based drinks needs a serious overhaul.

The black sesame latte was also great, especially if you like nutty flavors. They feature a rotating selection of the best beans from across the country (and locally!). Whether you're drinking a pour-over or a traditional macchiato, the flavor profiles are always distinct and expertly pulled. Masterful Latte Art: The baristas here are true artists.
