I first met Matthew when he helped a friend's father deal with numerous gas leaks in a mobile home. It was a difficult situation, but he was responsive, professional, and thorough. Later, after we moved into a home in Lancaster, I asked the company to travel from Simi Valley to help overhaul several parts of the plumbing system. The house needed a new regulator and cleanout, and an addition had been plumbed incorrectly with the hot and cold lines reversed. They also replaced an older water heater with a tankless system and rerouted portions of the gas piping as we converted more appliances and systems to electric. They handled several additional problems that demonstrated both persistence and honesty. A serious clog in the main kitchen drain line took more than two hours to break through, but they stayed with it until the line was cleared. During the home inspection, we had also been told that approximately ten feet of piping beneath the house appeared cracked and might need to be replaced. After performing a full video inspection of the plumbing system, Matthew's team determined that the marks were likely only surface scuffs and that the pipe was safe to continue using. Their willingness to give an honest assessment instead of recommending an unnecessary replacement meant a great deal to us. Most recently, they helped at a Scottish Rite commercial building where more than sixteen feet of older cast-iron drainage piping had collapsed. The affected section included multiple connections serving different drains in one of our primary bathrooms. They replaced and rerouted the damaged piping, charged a very fair price, and once again delivered quality work. It is rare to find a plumbing company equally comfortable handling mobile-home gas leaks, a major residential overhaul, difficult drain problems, video inspections, and complex commercial cast-iron drainage repairs. Matt, Vanessa, Trent, Derek and Baggio treated me kindly and also respected my home while doing the job they were hired to do, which was an entire repipe of my home. I would not wish this on my worst enemy due to how intrusive and destructive repiping a home is, but Highsmith and Daughters made this process as painless as possible. Nothing was broken, scratched, damaged in my home other than the drywall they needed to open up to repipe. They ran plastic runners over my carpet and tile, and also covered up electronics and appliances. They were on time, friendly, did proper work and used the best materials. Helped me with some other items and took time to answer all my questions while they were onsite and offsite. They also dealt with a very nosy neighbor professionally as well which I appreciated. I got a text update that Josh would be coming, which is fine. When we met I notified him that I had already been notified that the galvanized and cast-iron likely needed to be replaced. He told me in that case he didn't even need to go into the house in order to write up an estimate. Weeks went by and I heard nothing, when I reached out there was some weird story about that Mike went MIA that day and they had no record of Josh coming. When I explained Josh HAD come out, I was eventually told that they were too busy to take on my project. All this time wasted and time off from work and I have to start over. Waste of time.

Ask for Geovanni Penate…read more This is our second time working with Team Rooter Venture Inc in the Ventura , CA area.     In 2024, we thoroughly researched and contacted multiple plumbers in the area.  This company was able to schedule service right away (even on the weekend).  They work 24/7 and can show up afterhours and holidays.  They also send confirmation texts for appointments, surveys, etc. and emails for invoice and home inspections should you choose.  Team Rooter had the best pricing for our clogged kitchen sink.  We were so pleased with the work they did that we called Team Rooter again in 2026 for a different plumbing problem.  I liked that they had complete records of the last time they were out.  *FYI, after the plumbing work is complete, they send out a report with a description of the scope of work done.   This month, Geovanni was assigned to us and he is the best  - professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and more than capable. Workmanship - Geovanni worked quickly and efficiently.  The plastic and copper pipes he redid look way better than they did before... instead of multiple right angles, he angled them to flow better and reduce a collection of water (which started our problem in the first place).  He also performed some drywall repair after replacing the pipes, and we were very impressed by his drywall work (he took the time to really match the existing walls on multiple floors in our house).  I am just thankful he was able to fix all of our water issues.         If we have problems in the future, I would def call Team Rooter again.  Would recommend to all of our friends and family. Having invited five professional plumbers to my house in order to do a take off and submit a proposal to me for the entire plumbing of my garage conversion. I tried to speak to someone and get them to sharped their numbers but the attitude was not acceptable for respectable businessmen. Not only was their communication poor, I found their price to be almost outrageous. You have competitive pricing and luckily we have received more complete bids with less than half the cost. I chose to go with a with licensed C-36 that's been in the business for 30+ years & 15 year guarantee. Word of the wise, invite several trades to your project at the same time. Get these guys to bid more competitively and hold them accountable for price gouging. I'm giving two stars only because I actually received a bid. Not complete or detailed mind you. We called JC Plumbing based on their great Yelp reviews - Julio called back immediately and said they could be out within the hour. They kept their promise: Julio & Cesar arrived on time and explained their method and cost. We agreed, they proceeded (removing some Sheetrock, filling the shower pan with water, watching for source) and they determined that the shower pan construction ("hot mop") had failed. Although JC doesn't reconstruct hot mop shower pans, they gave us exactly what we needed today: great service, quick response, methodical work and the definitive source of the problem. We now know what to do for our next step. By the way, another plumbing company that we contacted (before calling JC) said that their first move would be breaking up the concrete slab to discover the leak. Thank goodness we hesitated on that other company and called JC Plumbing - we saved ourselves a world of hurt!
