I came here on a whim because the winery I was going to was closed for the night. I am soooo glad they were because Everything at Meritage Callaway was amazing!!!! The Food, the wine, the view and the staff (especially Ashley). We had the oxtails, ceviche, and cajun pasta so delicious, I can't wait to come back!!

Came here while reliving a long weekend my partner and I had a few years ago. I'm not sure why we were so entranced by this place (must e been the wine), but our return was altogether less than interesting. The vibes haven't changed since last we were there. The service itself was a bit on the slow/unaware side while the food itself didn't live up to expectations. The duck confit should've been moist and tender from, you know, the process of confit. Instead the meager leg was quite dry, with it's time under the heat lamp likely a contributor. For the price and quality, this isn't really a place I would visit again anytime soon.

I came here for brunch with friends on a warm day. The dining area was spacious; however uncomfortable during the warm day. The staff were cordial which made the heat bearable. The food came out wonderfully prepared and delicious. I would come here again, just not on a super warm day.

My wife and I reserved a table for lunch here to celebrate our Anniversary. The host got us seated right away to a nice view of the vineyard. Our friendly server took our drink order and brought us a couple of glasses of wine while we looked at food menu. I ordered the Steak sandwich , which was super tender roast beef on a soft toasted roll. The cheddar cheese made the sandwich! The Cabernet Sauvignon paired well with it! My wife enjoyed the Chicken and Strawberry Salad paired with Rosé of Sangiovese. Service was excellent, the view was fantastic!

Delicious spot for lunch in Temecula. You must check it out. The food was so delicious. The service is wonderful, they let you know what wine goes with your order. The views of the vineyards while you're eating are amazing. Meritage is a must if you are in Temecula Wine Country

My family had made brunch reservations here before we began our own Wine Tour. We were satisfied, but nothing food wise was reallg extraordinary here. I think their best asset is location. Located at the Callaway Winery, Meritage is serving some stunning views of the vineyard. Callaway itself is a beautiful winery, some Meritage is benefitting off of that. The restaurant itself is very clean and classy. It kind of gives a greenhouse, garden escape vibe which was actually really nice. They are dog friendly as well too. Staff was very friendly. Host greeted us with a smile. What stood out to me was how helpful and accomodating they were to my handicapped 90 year old grandma. There was some stairs to get to our table. The staff put her wheelchair in a safe place and even offered his arm to help guide her down the stairs, I was impressed. Food was decent, but not outstanding. It was average tasting brunch food that got the job done. I had the salmon lox, and I'm on the mission to find the best one, and this was not it. My sister in law had it too and we both agreed that it was lacking in the cream cheese, the best part, and we both had to ask for more. My dad said his sandwich was kind of dry ans boring like it was missing more, and the fries were disappointing. Best part was the creme brulee, but that could still use some work too. Meritage's strong point is the atmosphere and views. If you are looking for a nice atmosphere to eat on your wine tour, then this is a good spot. But don't count on it ti have outstanding food. Other wineries restaurants offer better food, vut Meritage is up with the views and vibes.

It's been years since I ate at Callaway's Meritage restaurant. Gorgeous views, beautiful property overall. The restaurant is covered patio seating with large windows that give a great vineyard view facing west. We were there on a Tuesday, which was a low crowd day and perfect weather! Service was excellent! Margarita pizza was yummy! We used our SIP Temecula passes to grab a glass of wine from the tasting room before heading over to the restaurant, finished that glass and ordered another glass at the restaurant! I chose a white wine, so I can't offer any comment on whether their reds have improved from when we last tasted here years ago. White was good (probably a viognier, I can't remember). They don't have air conditioning, so be aware if planning to dine on one of Temecula's blistering hot summer days. They do have heaters, though I could not tell you how well they work to keep you warm on our sometimes cool winter weather. We chose the perfect day to have lunch here and it was very nice!

Enjoyed a beautiful day today at Callwaway and became members. Enjoyed a beautiful view upstairs for sunset and finished off for dinner at the restaurant. We ordered almost everything on the menu and honestly my 5 stars is mainly for Sam! Although we had our own server, Sam continuously checked on us and helped us pair our dinner with the best wine. We kept asking for suggestions and he was on point with his recommendations and took the time to share about each wine. He was funny, wit, friendly and provided top tier customer service. We left full and very happy and relaxed. As parents of a big family, it was so nice to be able to get out of the house and enjoy a night out and we have Sam to thank, for treating the place like his own and giving all the customers in the restaurant his undivided attention. Thank you Sam

I actually really enjoyed this restaurant at the Callaway Winery. The service was friendly and nice. We made reservations and got seated promptly and had a nice view of the vineyard. We were here for brunch and they have a decent menu. Surprisingly they had Ceviche here and it was really good. Not simple and had a good mix of seafood. The Steak and Eggs weren't mind blowing, but cooked well and made it rare as what we requested. Really come here for the wine and views though. Overall, would come back!

On Saturday we wandered into TCI for dinner and started with the heirloom tomato and burrata with crostini. It was so fresh and delicious that I briefly considered writing the tomatoes a thank-you note. Next came the Harvest Valley Salad, which somehow managed to make me genuinely excited about lettuce--an achievement that deserves recognition from the culinary Olympics. For our entrée we ordered the Wagyu Steak Frites with chimichurri. The steak was cooked so perfectly it should probably be framed instead of sliced. Every bite was fantastic. We finished with the ube panna cotta, which was elegant, silky, and the kind of dessert that makes you promise you'll "just have one bite" before accidentally eating half of it. Nathan took wonderful care of us all evening. He was warm, friendly, attentive, and struck that perfect balance between making us feel welcome and giving us time to enjoy the gorgeous patio. Watching the sunset with live music in the background and that spectacular view? It was one of those evenings that quietly reminds you why people go out to eat in the first place. Apparently we enjoyed ourselves so much that we came back the very just two days for lunch. (Scientific research requires repeat testing.) We started with the hummus, which arrived looking like it belonged in an art gallery. Fortunately, it tasted every bit as good as it looked. Then came the chile relleno, which was absolutely outstanding. If this dish ever goes missing, I'd recommend checking my refrigerator first. Faith was wonderfully friendly and outgoing, and our food expeditor, David, was so genuinely warm and personable that by the time he left the table, it felt like we'd known him for years. Restaurants can teach hospitality, but that kind of kindness is simply who some people are. My only tiny suggestion: please turn on the patio misters during these triple-digit California afternoons. The food was keeping us warm emotionally; the weather was handling the rest. And on the way out we let Christine know the carpets at the entrances needed a vacuum. Fantastic food, exceptional service, beautiful views, and an atmosphere that keeps drawing us back. Cork Fire Kitchen has once again reminded us why it's one of our favorite places to dine. Bravo to the entire team!

We met up with a buddy from Riverside here as a halfway point, and it turned out to be an amazing spot. The Food Breakdown OBC Breadsticks (4-Pack): Delicious and fresh. They come with two dippers--stick to the classic plain garlic butter sauce for the best bite. Lost Traveler's Noodles: Really good. We added the extra shrimp--it pairs amazingly well with the flavorful, slow-roasted pork. OBC Tri-Tip Plate: Cooked to absolute perfection--came out exactly how we like it (medium-rare). Shrimp Tacos: Our friend ordered these when he arrived and completely devoured them. Our server, Amy, was attentive, friendly, and made our visit seamless. From the TVs and chairs to the overall layout, everything feels thoughtfully put together and the design really comes full circle. And as a military mom, I especially loved the huge American flag. It's stunning and gives the place such a great presence. The bar looked fantastic too. Unfortunately, the food was a major missed opportunity. I had high hopes for the ribeye, but it was thin and nothing particularly special. Honestly, I could've gotten something comparable at Sizzler for half the price. My burger was edible, but the bun tasted cheap, which was disappointing for the price point. And the fries... They were cold, stale, tasted frozen, and honestly seemed like they had been sitting around since yesterday. That's what makes this so frustrating--the restaurant itself has SO much potential. The atmosphere is gorgeous, the location is great, and Temecula desperately needs more places with this kind of vibe. But when the food doesn't match the effort put into the space, it really feels like a missed opportunity. If you're coming from drinks alone - maybe a spot to catch

I was slightly worried because we had a second game in 2 and a half hours but I knew it would be okay. We ordered and sat inside. The staff was kind enough to let us move tables around. Then I'd say within 10 minutes our food orders started coming out. The orders then continued to come out at a very steady pace! We were shocked. Then we were shocked at how DELICIOUS the food was. One by one like a chorus of glee, each person commented on how much they enjoyed their food. The menu was so vast that no one had the same order in the adults and each person loved their food. There was only one hiccup. One of the parents order a canned drink but didn't notice that it was alcoholic. This was in no way the fault of the restaurant as it was obviously beer. The parent didn't complain he just opened it and left it. The waitress who was bussing our area asked him was something wrong if he didn't like it and the dad said, I didn't realize it was alcohol.
