We lived at this complex for 4+ years. It is a very quiet complex with beautiful views. The downside is: no pool, no fitness center, Carl who does maintenance was really nice until he found out I was not Republican. Really. The on-site manager Barb is nice but not always available (short office hours) the AC in the second bedroom was non existent. The water pressure is not good, and if you want hot water you have to run the water a long time to get it hot. The garages are a decent size. The price of these apartments is very high considering the Amenities they don't have. Water, garbage, sewer, pest control etc. will run you close to150.00 a month or more. read more

I have enjoyed living at Bollinger Crest for over 10--years now. The staff is excellent and have had few issues here satisfied swiftly and accurately. Have had several opportunities to move from here, but the security is comforting. I am not only, enjoying safety, but also, having my home repairs serviced swiftly. Honestly, I do not plan to leave. The grounds are well-landscaped and the views are serene. The tree-lined road gradually declines into the complex with roses at the base are a welcomed site. There is a hot-tub, shower and locked mail-boxes for residents' security (important). Peaceful- beyond my expectations. Remember to bring your binoculars to enjoy The Natural Beauty of the location. Assorted birds, squirrels and deer make walks more enjoyable. "Country" living in a "Safe City". Prime location and close to various medical practices, great choice of shops , friendly staff at the local post office and the 680 Freeway is close for convenience. The Home Depot, Target, Safeway, Costco and many other--solid, well-established businesses are close as well. Happy to have a garage to store extra items and a wide parking spot. A car wash is convenient to have on-site. If you need a new start, try Bollinger Crest Apartments, you will be comfortable and secure in this community!! read more

ETA: management promised us signs that caution drivers to slow down due to the kids playing, they put up small signs for a month or so and have now taken them down as they don't wish to promote children playing. Which is strange considering there is a playground in their parking lot. I guess they prefer their smallest residents to be put at risk instead. Seems like another smart decision by management here. SMH. Also if you don't live on the top floor please know that you will hear absolutely everything from the people above you.. and it's extremely loud. Loud enough to wake you and your children up from a dead sleep. My wonderful and extremely inconsiderate neighbors stay up until 2-3am doing god knows what and waking up my 1yr old, my son and myself. And our new manager Barbara Bright (the 4th manager we've had with in my short few months I've lived here) is no help at all. Original: We moved to be closer to my work and initially really liked our neighbors and still have good relationships with a bunch of them. HOWEVER there is one neighbor, Old lady bottom floor, in building 3 who is absolutely insane. She harasses our children, calls the cops out frequently to the point that when they come now they ask if it was the "crazy neighbor", she opens her garage and watches the kids play, takes photos of them and then screams obscenities at the adults. Tonight it was that I was a fat b*tch, then that my husband is fat and bald, last time it was our neighbor was on drugs and an addict (she doesn't even take cold medicine) and all of this occurs in front of the children. My son is terrified of her as are the other kids and it's made this a really miserable environment. Management is constantly turning over and we have to deal with temp staff often which make this situation so much worse. All of this occurs in front of the children's playground. A week ago she asked two of our neighbors kids to come in the garage and they reluctantly did and she closed the garage.. the kids were terrified and their parents ended up calling the police. The cops continuously tell us there's not much they can do but the harrasment is getting to a point of ridiculousness and I would like to warn anyone thinking about moving in here because it's made us quite miserable for months now. There's been vomit next to her car which we think is likely because she has a drinking problem. I'm sick of this.. I'm sick of my kids being scared.. I'm sick of being harassed read more

Great place to live. Been here 3+ years and love it. Very peaceful and quiet. Great views. Barbara, the manager, is wonderful and so is the maintenance guy, Carl. Both are very personable, attentive and quick to respond to maintenance issues. The layout of the apartment is fantastic. The appliances are newer and work great. The apartment even includes an in-unit washer and dryer, which is a nice bonus. The owners and management have done a great job of taking care of the property. They recently replaced the roof, painted the exterior of all buildings and upgraded all exterior lighting in the halls. Would highly recommend!! read more

The advertisement of newly remodeled units is a bunch of bull. It seemed as though they put old carpet down to replace the old carpet. Windows were not replaced nor were the appliances. My fridge had a dent in it. I was told I was the first to live in the remodeled unit. The place was dirty when I moved in with the smell of cat pee. I had to clean the carpets. The dirt that came up and guess what- the cat smell decreased. Take photos of move in and move out. I was charged a hefty cleaning fee. When questioned I was told window tracks were dirty. Funny because I had to clean those along with the carpet when I moved in. I have never been charged for the cleaning of window tracks in a rental. Not to mention the base boards had a sticky film on them. Newly remodeled unit- a year in and the shower doors fell on me during a shower. Broken glass everywhere and cut my foot. I recommend doing a walk through with management after you move out. They give you the place a mess and charge you to clean it all up when you leave. Even if you do leave the place cleaner than when you got it. They will find something to get money out of you. Management is terrible. Lots of turnover and people in and out of the complex. Constantly having workers doing stuff around the unit. Loud and park where they should not. I would not recommend this place! read more

I just renewed my lease after one year. I love living here and love my 3rd floor unit. It's very peaceful and tranquil. At times I miss being able to hang out by a nice size pool and on site gym though. I've accommodated these pleasures by going to nearby 24 hr fitness. Any issues I've had with repairs and maintenance are accommodated within 24 hours. I love that the community is small and we all look out for each other. It's a great place to live! read more

I lived at Bollinger Crest for a bit over two years. One word sums it up: Excellent. The 2BR layout is great. No surprises either - every unit has the same footprint, so you won't see a difference between an open unit to look at and one you actually move into. If you can get a unit with a view of the hills, take it - even if there is a small premium. I loved drinking a cup of coffee in the morning staring out the window at the green rolling hills, feeling like I was removed from the hustle of the Bay Area when cows would roam the hills. The management team is superb. Whenever I had an issue, I always got full resolution within a day. They are super-helpful too. I travelled a lot when I lived at Bollinger Crest. Occasionally, I would be out of town on "trash day". One text message to the office, and my trash was out for pickup and I didn't have to come home to a gamey smelling garage when I got home. Phew! This brings me to the post by "Anonymous M" on 6/30/13. First - as a rule - never believe posts from anonymous Yelpers. They are usually just angry people that need a figurative dog to kick because they are miserable people. Cold water? Open the utility door on the deck and turn up the thermostat. Poor HVAC airflow to the second bedroom? Open up the vent to that bedroom and close the one to the larger BR a bit. I looked at about a dozen other apartments before making my choice. I am thrilled to have chosen Bollinger Crest. You will be too. read more

I have to agree with Amber! Lived here for a couple years now but things have changed. We had a very competent manager who got hurt on the job and we went through some managers who really had no business being one. But Shantel is the worse by far. She doesn't respond to emails, loses checks, and is hardly ever around. We've had serious maintenance issues and a neurotic neighbor but no help whatsoever from management. If you like cops they're always here because of one particular neighbor that makes life hellish. She scares the kids, never leashes her dog, insults the adults and is usually a drunken mess. The only reason I'm giving this place a two is the majority of the residents are really good people. It is quite (when the drunk is passed out) and I'm hopeful that the old manager will return. read more

I recently moved in to this apartment complex and find it super well run and well taken care of. The current manager, Barb, is responsive, friendly, professional and always prepared to help. The apartment is in beautiful condition and everything in working order and better. The "problem tenant" referred to in other reviews has moved out. This place is clean, calm and feels very safe. As a previous homeowner now renting I was hesitant but am very happy and comfortable here. Lot's of options in San Ramon but this little hillside enclave is a great choice! read more

I've lived at Bollinger Crest Apartments for a little over two years and it's been great so far. The complex itself is small and I enjoy walking around the grounds with my dog since it has several bench areas with views of the mountains and a playground. We live on a ground floor unit and haven't had too many issues with maintenance, although the couple times we had an issue, like once with our guest toilet and once when a cupboard door came loose, Barb and Carl were super fast to respond to my texts and fixed it pretty fast. Once I locked myself out of my apartment in the late evening and Barb came right over and helped me. The staff are friendly and are willing to help even with minor issues, like locking myself out. I'm happy to see they're making all these improvements to the buildings too, and looking forward to seeing the end result. I also appreciate that they're very quick to send out notices about building maintenance so I know when to my move my car. I definitely don't see myself moving out anytime soon. read more

I lived at Bollinger Crest for just over a year. It was a fantastic place to live if you are looking to rent an apartment in the bay area. The rent is comparable to other apartment complexes in the area, probably even cheaper (it was at the time that I was renting). Lori is a great person to work with, she never increases the rent from when you start to when you leave and is a very fair owner. I have never had any issues with the management there, if anything they were always a pleasure to work with. One time our blinds got stuck and it was taken care of very quickly without any hassle. After the one year lease was up, it switched to month-to-month which made it easy to move out when it was time to buy. I don't know what the Koffee T. person is talking about, when we moved out we left huge coffee (...ironic) stains on the carpet and the carpet had to be replaced but we still got money back from our deposit. There is a garage and an external spot for each apartment. The in unit washer dryer were great. The rest of the appliances were up to date and looked and worked very well. Honestly we did not use the air conditioner often, we just opened the windows but when we did it worked great! It is in a wonderful location near Las Trampas and within walking distance to The Home Depot, Safeway, Chipotle and others. Biking distance from the Iron Horse Trail and Costco, it is really a prime location. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed living there and would recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment. We have lived at Bollinger Crest Apts for 6 months and it is by far the best rental experience we've had. The property is clean, QUIET, and beautiful with fantastic views. Our second-floor corner unit has a spacious layout and lots of light. During the summer it stays pretty cool without having to run the A/C 24/7 and there is always a breeze in the open stairwells. Huge patio, washer/dryer in the unit, D/W, open kitchen/DR/LR. Property Manager Lori has been incredibly helpful and Carl fixes any maintenance issue promptly. Neighbors are friendly and respectful - it feels like a community, not an apartment complex. Highly recommended. read more

I lived at Bollinger Crest Apartments for two years. With the new manager who replaced Annette Maggio ....Lori Martin is a wolf in sheeps clothing. She quotes you one price and denies it. She is not manager material and does not do her job well. She enters your apartment without written permission which is against the law. If you tell her that she cannot enter she gives you a hard time. My heater never worked correctly and I had to purchase my own heating unit so I would not freeze in the winter. She never repaired it and the price they charge for those units are not worth it. So If you're planning on renting at Bolllinger Crest do yourself a favor and look someplace else. Lori Martin will promise you the world to get you in and deny everything she said to you. So if your in love with your apartment get everything she tells you in writing. read more

My wife and I have been living here for about 4 months now and we absolutely LOVE IT! The apartments are very modern and updated with beautiful granite and new appliances. The high ceilings make a huge difference. The 2 bedrooms are great size, and you get a wonderful walk-in closet as well- also 2 Full bathrooms. We looked at every other apt complex within San Ramon, Danville, and Dublin- Bollinger Crest was BY FAR our Favorite! Having a garage is also a huge benefit. Lorry, Patti as well as the maintenance team do a wonderful job, and are extremely friendly and professional. You are really doing yourself a disservice if you don't check this complex out. It is truly a hidden gem. We really like the fact that it is a smaller, private complex hidden in the beautiful hills of San Ramon. 4 months in, we really have NO complaints whatsoever. I can easily recommend this location to my anyone. Just see for yourself, and I'm sure you will agree. I saw one negative review on here about this place, but honestly, it is not warranted whatsoever in our opinion. 10/10 rating from us :) read more
