So to update, I was given the option to leave the apartment and nothing happened to the neighbor with barking dog with terrible scary neighbor in the unit below me who made lies about my dog and myself. When they were the issue. I decided move again after moving from Washington 15 hours cause I felt no compassion from management Tara and Tracey. I wanted everyone to follow the rules I don't understand why they can't follow rules. The neighbors were not supposed to have anything in the garage and they had a giant dog and a tv and couch and it would bark all day and night and I lived above it and I couldn't sleep. They were so rude to me. Anyways I ended moving out because of them. There were no available units either for me. I had to move out which wasn't fair. Since I drove 16 hours from Washington to come here. In the end Tracey was understanding but during the process I felt the support was one sided to the neighbors who were noisy and breaking the rules everyday. It was my dream to move there but the neighbors ruined it for me. All I have to say is those neighbors are the worst and I lived in building 12 unit 1226. I hope that management handles those neighbors better. They ruined my experience in their apartment and my life. read more

I've only lived here for about eight months and my complaints are solely about the maintenance personnels behavior. Several times in the past, I've witnessed them fraternizing, unable to complete basic task, and very unprofessional. Over the past weekend on Saturday afternoon, while inside my apartment I heard some commotion outside. When I looked out of my window, I saw the maintenance supervisor along with his family and/or friends hollering and screaming at some female in the pool area. All I know is they were very aggressive towards the woman who looked like she was just hanging with her kids at the pool. I have been over paying for a year now and they won't refund my 3,000 dollar balance. Seems a little shady. One time I underpaid rent by $1.09 and the next day I had a notice threatening a $75 fine and possible eviction if not paid immediately. I'm really disappointed in this place. I've lived her for a few years because moving seems like a pain, honestly. I've gotten my car towed a few times from this place and I've had a few friends who were visiting get towed too. I had gotten my window replaced and didn't grab my parking sticker so I parked as I normally would because there's only 10 guests spots for a few hindered tenants and there's no street parking. This past weekend it was towed. I didn't get any warning stickers or anything prior. And It cost $535 to get my car back and a 25 min drive to Livermore. My car is out there every single day and one stupid mistake will cost you a few hundred bucks. It's ridiculous and I'd never suggest someone to move here. Aside from horrible parking, the walls are thin so we hear our neighbors arguing most mornings when we wake up. We'll be leaving this place soon. read more

I was stressed about the process of having to move out being at my location for 6 years. Things aren't the same as they were and with rent soaring in the Bay Area, I was nonetheless discouraged. I stumbled upon Highlands Point via Craigslist and couldn't believe the price and location. I eagerly responded to the add and received an immediate response from Patricia. I scheduled a tour and fell in love. Patricia made the process super easy and seamless! She was so responsive and attentive that my dread of having to find a place, apply, and move, was made that much easier thanks to her. First off moving into these apartments was the best thing I could of done. The facility is clean and our new apartment is so nice. Jennifer made the process of applying and moving in a breeze. She did such a good job of keeping the process moving and having everything ready for us to move in. Scott was a big help in the process as well. I found out about this complex on Craigslist. They engage in housing discrimination. They did not allow me to apply despite being a below market rate housing community subsidized by the federal government. St Anton's coached their leasing agents to not put section 8 tenants in regular housing. If you complain, they will just deny that they do what they do. I complained about them to state regulators and the leasing company and St Anton's Capital, the developer/leading agent parent company denied that they discriminate against voucher holders. It's pretty sad and I'd rather not waste my time with engaging in a lying, discriminatory company such as Highlands Point. They at least got rid of discriminatory language on their constantly running Craigslist . I wish I didn't waste all the time I did on them but how was I suppose to know? read more

Management does nothing about the loud banging at all hours of the night. This place is a nightmare! People play basketball in the units, steal packages and smoke in the halls. WORST place I've ever lived. I just downloaded yelp specially to leave this review they have towed my hard working mom multiple times, one of these times she had a barely expired parking sticker which MANAGEMENT is RESPONSIBLE FOR renewing themselves. She was still forced to pay for it. Management is also disgustingly rude and shady, same with maintenance crew. They came in without knocking and made rude comments about a "mess". Management is so stuck up, biased and discriminatory. The parking is horrid there's a total of about ten or less guest parkings and no assigned park to each building so if parking is taken up have fun either walking across the entire complex OR walking up the hill from the the neighborhood down the street. They continue to harass my household for no reason, it's obvious they target specific residents they don't like and favor the others. Rent is outrageously expensive for such a hell hole. Do not move here and support the pigs that run this place. read more

It is extremely rare for me to give a single star, but let me get into details here. Please Anton Cap, train the office staff to have some work ethics. They are not the ones paying monthly rent here. Firstly, the management here is terrible.They are extremely rude and careless toward the residents. If a resident has an issue, the office staff are extremely rude about solving the issue, specifically Yesenia Mendez and Patricia. Both, Yesenia Mendez and Patricia lack work ethics. They do not have any customer service skills, or management skills. A friend of mine wanted to look at some units, however Yesenia did not even put the effort in showing the unit. I have gone to the office multiple times, but was treated badly. They talk to you rude, as an if they own the property. The maintenance people are her relatives, she hired her husband and cousin. This place is ran by the managements family literally, and they have no clue how to properly do maintenance. They half-ass almost everything and leave, as I have to complete their horrible job. I recently moved in and the apartment was clean and in immaculate condition and smelled good. Thank God I was so grateful. I had a real bad experience at the previous apartments that I lived at in Dublin the apartment there smelled like funk it was disgusting it was even stuck in the walls and looked like a dirty motel from a horror movie. I do agree with the other reviewers it's hard to find a parking spot at night. Patricia Stinson helped me throughout the whole move-in process she was always very friendly and provided great customer service to me and my husband. I just moved in and loving it. I'm enjoying my beautiful view from my bedroom and patio it's very relaxing. I received great customer service from everyone at the office Yesenia, Patricia, Scott and Tracy . I was calling almost everyday since April to see if there was a Belmeade floorplan available. Finally one came available for June move in just in time for school. I'm so happy and loving it. My sister has been living here for years she's had a good experience here she recommended this place to me. Now we are neighbors and our kids can go to school together. I have lived here for a few years now. When I first moved in I was impressed how will they maintained the complex and that is what drew me in. They used to power wash the stairways, hallways, and outside the buildings. I don't know the last time they did that, it's been over 2 years for sure. Like every other comment here parking is a joke, if you pay extra for a garage you are fine and have a space. Make sure you don't have a social life because you wont find parking for sure. I think the community needs to sign a petition and complain. We pay rent and we don't get a parking spot unless we are home early! Staff used to be on top of everything and now they keep changing staff and you can't even get in a work order without calling them over and over. I used to have nothing but good things to say but they have lost there touch and I can't wait to move out. She said the others were not available, but the website showed availability. When I told her that she just stayed quiet. Seemed like she didn't want to do the work. I remember I came here looking for an apartment two years ago and based on the reviews I'm glad I did not rent here. I had feeling this place was not going cool. When I first came to the rental office there was a lady who was extremely rude and unprofessional, something I rarely encounter in San Ramon. The first thing she said to me was "You know this an income restricted" as if there are many persons who make over $80k that would rent here instead of buying? Just didn't make since to me. Then I asked if they had any 3 bedrooms available? She said No, even though on Craigslist they were advertising 3 bedroom available. And did not elaborate any further, like when would one become available or why is they advertising availability when in fact you don't. Kinda got the feeling she didn't want to rent to me. "A wise person once said to me never beg a person to take your money, keep it moving." And that's what I did looked else where and found a 4 bedroom townhome for a few $100s more and been here for two years! My landlord loves me because I never missed a payment. I was so excited to move here for years. Finally moved here only stayed for a year. Left in April. Right before I moved out the rent went was going up 50 more dollars, The rent is already high. They should let you know prior to moving in the rent will increase every year. Also, when i moved out i made sure the apartment was clear of everything i have a video and pictures. I was only there for a year, and I was hardly home. They charged me 350 for a carpet clean. Unbelievable for that small apartment. They sent my final move out letter to the wrong address. Now instead of them giving me at least half or a percentage of my deposit back I owe them. One thing for sure you need to hire a cleaning service to clean your apartment when you move out, because they are going to upcharge you for every little spot they see. I'm a clean person and I was really the only one there. Just ridiculous! A friendly reminder of the downside of renting its best to own. Then when i emailed them and asked them questions about the final move out they ignored me. No email reply back. Very unprofessional. read more

Whom ever I was speaking to told me they had 2bedroom 2bathroom available as well, she started asking about my income and how many people are gonna be living in the apartment I told her just 2 people I also told her I have housing assistance/ Section 8 she Immediately asked can she put me on hold which was like a second then got back on the phone and said that they do accept housing assistance/section 8 but they don't any available units for me now I wasn't gone write a view but I found that quite funny how they have units available before I even mentioned the housing assistance/section 8 ..she was very unprofessional and rude!! read more

Not only is the parking horrendous. It is noisey kids running every where at all hours. Staff is unfriendly and unproffesional. I rented a garage to park 2 cars however have since been told I can't use the "tandem" spot but my garage rent can not be reduced. Oh yea and they make inspections to make sure you aren't storing anything in your garage. They focus so much on offering resources to the low income residents that the rest of us can't gain access to any of the amenities, pool gym etc. and yes the tow truck circles the parking lot a couple times a night or waits noisily Idling for the poor sucker who parks in the wrong spot. This has been a horrible place to live can not wait until lease is up!!!! I do love the apartment however very cheaply built... Will be run down in a few years. read more

This place looks wonderful from afar - GREAT location, beautiful views/pool area, and fairly nice interiors... however that is the only "good" about this place. THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN - you can hear the maintenance crew in the mornings causing a roar outside, making noises, chatting, etc. The neighbors are loud, with children who run up and down the outside hallway causing a HORRIBLE shake to the whole unit. You can hear every car audio through the walls. Forget sleeping in on your days off. The garbage trucks will sound like they are driving over your head. THE PARKING SITUATION IS HORRENDOUS!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot emphasize this enough. It is impossible to find a parking spot after 8pm. So forget about running errands or attempting to find parking if you work evening shift such as myself. I work very long hours at the hospital and having to park at a neighboring apartment complex and walk in the middle of the night IN THE RAIN is just ridiculous. There are easily 3-5 cars per apartment and they also take up the guest parking so don't even think about having people over. Mind you, those guest spots are CONTINUOUSLY filled by the same cars. Aka residents. Neighboring streets began ticketing cars from Highlands Points because our residents have been parking there since there isn't enough room in the neighborhood. What are we supposed to do? Park in another city and uber home? The neighbors are slobs. The trash is ALWAYS overflowing, there's trash in the hallways, the neighbors won't even put the trash IN the trash cans half the time. Disgusting and embarrassing. They don't watch their children who are always running across the roads. Nor do the neighbors slow down/follow traffic rules when there are people crossing the streets, attempting to park, etc. Paying a premium price for such a poor excuse for an apartment community. read more

These were the first apartments I looked at when starting my on-site visits ~ mainly because of how friendly and informative Patricia was when speaking to her on the phone about the property's details. It's a real benefit to have on-site management since any issues that may arise are often able to be dealt with much sooner than later. While I was in the office reviewing maps and paperwork, I noticed that when current tenants came in to talk to Patricia with inquiries, she was genuinely happy to help ~ and even knew them by name. A person would feel very much at home here and could choose to live quietly, be an active part in the residential community within, or a little bit of both! I would have given more stars , had our neighbor not been such a pain. This woman keeps complaining when it's somebody on top who makes all the noise. She makes strange complaints that our kids make noise, we slam the door etc etc. we have one daughter who goes to bed early so multiple kids making noise is out of question. Moreover we don't slam our door ever.. She's one crazy woman and old lady I suggest you go and live in some senior living if you want so much silence and if you complain just not knowing who is making the noise, coz we guess your ears don't function properly. The worst part is the leasing office entertains all this even when it is just 4 pm, not even close to sleep time. Otherwise the apartment is good and maintenance is good. I moved here from another apartment community 2 minutes away. I was very dissatisfied with the community I moved from. I have VERY high standards, especially when it comes to where I live. Everything logistically from the application process, to move in was flawless. Here we are 2 months later and I could not be happier. I am not into the "apartment" life. I have always lived in a home up to 3 years ago. Today while walking to the office to pay my rent, I realized, I may never want to live in a "house" again. Here I have all the amenities I could possible want. The staff is beyond great, I actually experience deep care, kinship and they always address my needs promptly and accurately. I have very high standards which is misinterpreted to being high maintenance by most. This is a "working community", where the stellar management, leasing and maintenance team works things out. "Let me see what I can do" is the theme as opposed to being patronized with no results. The views are world class. The apartment units are modern and up to date. I am an artist, my living environment is my work environment. If I am not happy it affects my creativity and effectiveness. Highlands Point, is ascetically gorgeous. The pool, spa and workout areas are ideal and so is the landscape. This is a staycation - vacation where you stay! read more
