It's rarely overly busy here, but often well kept with great deep warm decor and perfect lighting. Service is demure, charming and efficient. Everything coming out in a more than timely manner, very much the same with takeout or UberEats and other third party services they partner with. A friend recommended this spot as she LOVES the studio city location so we all came and decided to try it. There is a super small parking lot in the back, and a ton of meters along Ventura blvd. The place was empty when we walked in - just one couple but they were boxing their food up. Then another party came midway of us eating. So this service was with no one else there..... Me and my friend walked in, and we were waiting on our other friend. There were 2-3 guys that were working. One came and brought us water while we waited. I asked him for a straw and he quickly brought it. Once our friend showed up, we literally got no service. They were just on their phones. After like 10 minutes the other guy finally came (after we all stared at him) and he took our orders. My friends asked for a straw and it never came - until I reminded him. Our food finally came out and honestly, it was good. I got the chicken tikka masala - medium. Super flavorful. The garlic naan was delicious as well. Spacious dining area. Open late. Tikka masala was great. The lamb vindaloo was a little to fatty or grisly for me. The paneer kafta was different than I'm used to but was pretty good. Friends loved the garlic Nan Rice was OK Mango Lassi was good, on the sweeter side which I like. They said the spice level is for white people so medium wasn't too bad. They charged us for an extra Tikka probably because one friend got a seperate check. I called and they said they they would do a refund. read more

First time, last time! Party of 4. The garlic basil naan, Onion Pakora, Sag Panner starters were quite good. The sauces for Samosa Lamb, Lamb Coconut Curry, Shrimp Tandoori Masa and Chicken Tikka Masala were tasty, but the shrimp, lamb and chicken were so overcooked, they ruined the meal for us, Nazir provided excellent servce, as did the busser. One of my top casual Indian restaurants. It's a nice ambiance inside and pretty chill. The staff were nice and friendly. They have one of my favourite mango lassi here; there was a good amount of mango flavour and great consistency. It was rather addictive. I haven't had good Korma in a while and I'm glad I tried theirs as it was the type of creamy coloured korma I've been looking for. It had a subtle sweetness to the curry and the thickness of the curry was great. The vindaloo lamb was good too however it was spicy enough for a vindaloo dish and the consistency could be a little thicker. Some of the meat were tender and some were a little tougher. The shrimp biryani was amazing too. The shrimp was tender and plump. The flavours and seasonings were delicious though a little on the oilier side. But it was one of the better biryanis I've had in LA. The spinach and paneer was good too although there was an interesting flavour I cannot pin point. But it was nice and creamy. The rice pudding was sweet and refreshing. The mango ice cream tasted like frozen lassi and it was creamy. Both desserts were yummy. Overall, I would definitely go back again and try more dishes. read more

This place is easily one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the valley. Every single thing I've had hit. Mango and strawberry lassi were delicious such a treat. Vegetable samosa is amazing as well as their three chutneys. So so good! We got chicken tikka masala and chicken tikka so dang good. We ordered a side of roti sauce to go with it which was also bomb. We also got sag panner which was sooooo yummy too! Garlic naan is the best my favorite when it's soft. We finished our meal with a chai tea and honey!!! Hit all the marks at this spot. I've been wanting to try this place for a while now since it's just around the corner from us and has pretty good reviews. I love Indian food. When I walked in at 5:30 pm on a Friday, it was completely empty (besides the workers). That made me a little worried, but it eventually started filling up to about 1/4 capacity by 6:30 pm. I ordered the chicken bhuna (spice level hot) dinner combo and added a chai to go with the dessert. Everything was very tasty. When I asked for mint/tamarind chutney and onions, the owner/waiter was hesitant to give it to me for some reason. He asked, "do you really need it?" That was a bit off-putting, but he eventually brought it out, and it added a nice variety to the meal. So yes, I did need it, thank you very much. I think I would've gotten tired of the same flavor over and over again without it. My only other complaint is that the rice was a bit dry. Otherwise, everything was delicious! How does this place have such great reviews? This is some of the worst Indian food I've had. We started off with papadum. They were fine, but the sauces were not. The mint sauce was fairly flavorless, and seemed on the old side. The tamarind sauce was very sweet, thick, with little tamarind flavor. The fresh veggies were flavorless and seemed like they had been sitting around for a long time. Then came the entrees. The okra seemed like maybe it had been cooked, frozen, and reheated. The malai kofta looked fantastic, but the sauce was overly sweet and otherwise nearly flavorless, and the dumplings were quite dry inside and also flavorless. read more

My wife and I found this spot on a whim through DoorDash and we have been obsessed with it ever since! After multiple delivery orders, we decided to try it in person. The ambiance is very romantic and calming, which is perfect for a date night and the flavors are out of this world delicious! Pro tip: get the cheese naan.
