    Spicy butter chicken

Let me start off with holy moly this place has so much flavor. I haven't tasted something so good for a long time. Every bite had the best flavor in my mouth. The service was absolutely great. Food came out fast. The environment was peaceful, calm comfortable. There is a lot of parking spots available. I don't know how many times I passed this place because it was so hidden. It's definitely a hidden gem. I had spicy butter chicken. I forgot the other names of the other dishes, but wow. The sauce was nice and creamy perfect to the taste buds. The rice with the chicken was very, very flavorful and colorful. The workers were so friendly that's what made this place. Amazing. included the pictures with the names of the dishes.

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 I really need to do a better job with picture for this delicious restaurant. At the time of its opening, not gonna front, I was sad to see the previous restaurant (a pizza and muajenat spot) close! BUT wow! What an amazing addition to the area! We've eaten in resistant and ordered catering and the fact that we continue to return is a testament to just how delicious their food is. Our personal favorites: chicken biryani, lamb shank stew, tandoori chicken, naans (garlic and regular), samosas (with tamarind sauce), and lentil (daal) and chickpea masala.

This is our second time here really. We wanted comfort homemade food, without paying too much. And if you are a CSUN student they you get a special discount too woohoo. You can tell food is going to be delicious from the moment you walk in. Smells incredibly tasty. Our host, Uzi, is very friendly nice and professional , answered our questions, which were very helpful in choosing our plates. Food is made to order, can't beat that freshness. Highly recommend them, and they do catering as well. You guys really need to try this place.

Great spot to try some tasty Indian food. This time, I tried the Mix combo, which consisted of ground beef kabobs, ground chicken kabobs, chicken tandoori and chicken kabob. All of the meat was marinated in yummy Indian spices and when the dish just came out, the meat was juicy tender and very delicious. I had an option of getting it with rice or naan, so I went with freshly baked garlic naan. Delicious low-carb , high protein meal and the portion was big enough to last me an extra meal the next day. The spot has around 6-7 tables and you order at the counter. The decor is one that you could expect from an indian restaurant, with pleasant Indian music hits playing in the background. The owner is friendly and is happy to recommend you some tasty cool dishes. Will definitely come back here again!

Chicken tikka masala : great, rich in flavor. I ordered a side of rice & garlic naan to go together. It was delicious & I underestimated how big the naan was going to be! I also ordered the biryani which was so fragrant & tasted absolutely delicious. I really liked the green sauce the dish came with ! You order in front & then they serve you your dishes once you find a place to sit. Parking is easy as it's located in a shopping plaza, same as Sweetsnow.

I have been in search of good Indian food in the valley for the past 2 years and finally found one! Everything I ordered was great, authentic recipes, great quality and very friendly service. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu here, I will be back.

Halal Biriyani Kabob House opened up a second location in Northridge! This restaurant is well known for Pakistani-Indian cuisine. Food is fantastic here! Ask for recommendations if it's your first time. The restaurant is known for BIRIYANI, their "Hyderabadi lamb biryani" is a best seller. Eight kinds of biriyani are available, so definitely give that a try and also check out their chef's specials. If you don't eat meat, no worries the restaurant has got you covered: it's Vegetarian/Vegan friendly. Great restaurant, friendly staff, and nicer location compared to their flagship restaurant in mid-city Los Angeles.

Absolutely incredible experience! The service was genuinely friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in, and the food was next level. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The biryani was packed with aroma and spices, the naan was perfectly blistered and soft, and the grilled meats were tender, juicy, and full of bold flavor. Even the lentil dish was rich, comforting, and unforgettable. You can tell real care goes into both the cooking and the customer experience here. This is a must-try spot if you love amazing food and great service. I'll definitely be back--and bringing friends with me next time!

We've been wanting to come to this place and finally got the chance. 10/10 for service, he was extremely helpful, kind, and even gifted us a dessert! The lamb shank was good, a bit salty so definitely need to pair with the huge garlic naan and the rice. The flavor of the paneer tikka masala was good, leaning on the sweeter side. Unfortunately the vegetable biryani had a very strong flavor of cardamom? It was slightly overwhelming. Portions are good though and parking is easy in a shared lot

Overall great experience. Ownership is welcoming. Food was made well and didn't not have to wait long. Best dish was either the lamb (fall off the bone) or the paneer tikka (biased because I love paneer). Will come back to try more dishes.

I don't know much about Indian food and wanted to try something different. I say that Biriyani kabob house had good reviews so my husband and I gave it a try. We asked Uzi who was at the cash register and he helped us order. We had the butter chicken, chicken Korma, and a garlic naan. It was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be going back to try more items. It is super casual in a strip mall near Cal State Northridge. I also saw they have a reasonably priced student menu.

The food is okay, but not the best. The most important thing to note is that this restaurant doesn't have a waiter.

If you want to highlight your taste buds, have you tried Pakistani cuisine? Decades ago, my quest for the best tandoori chicken in the valley, brought me to Red Chili on Parthenia, in Northridge. It has always taken the crown. I recently discovered that they actually have a buffet too, including this tandoori chicken, a d only offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 3 PM ($25 plus tax). Things are different here. On the meat side, they had beef nihari, beef haleem, chicken tikka masala, chicken biriyani and tandoori chicken. Last two lived up, amazing. The other 3 were mediocre. Both beef dishes were pasty, already thick and over heated since 11 am. For vegetables, only 3 selections. Chole (garbanzos) was better than the other two, again pasty dishes of potatoes and spinach, that lacked the fresh look and taste. Last two even loosing texture. There were adequate condiments, on the spread. Unique here are the two unlimited selections of freshly cooked naan and puri (Indian buffets give you a choice of none but only one serving). I had 3 puri servings. It was flaky, well layered, soft, easy to eat and melts in your mouth. In a nutshell, finding restaurants in the valley for Pakistani cuisine or at that matter in Los Angeles, is not easy. They are there. OC has a handful that are super. But in the Valley, there is no abundance. So make the journey to Red Chili. At least, just for the biriyani and tandoori chicken.

They even added a seating area to dine in which was nice (I don't recall this being there years ago). I gave the Chole bhatura a try and it was pretty good! Not a super greasy/oily bhatura which is always a plus. I wish they gave the pickled carrots and onions like they do down in Artesia but the raw onions and achar on the side was good enough. What stood out even more was the outstanding customer service from Harry, Sukhdev, and the team. After I had already picked up quite a few things, I decided to add a few more items. Without hesitation, they offered to order extra samosas and other fresh items for me right away. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made me feel truly valued. While I was there, I noticed they also have a food counter. Out of curiosity we decided to try it, and I'm so glad we did. The food was outstanding. We sat at one of the comfortable dining tables, and the staff kindly suggested what to order. The paneer was rich and flavorful, the baingan bharta was hands-down one of the best I've had anywhere outside of India, and the makke di roti with sarson ka saag was perfect. We also tried the aloo tikki chaat and the samosas, both of which were excellent. They really nailed the flavors across the board. Beyond the groceries and hot food, their fresh sugarcane juice, quality meats, and delicious pastries are all fantastic too. We ended up taking home quite a few pastries. Delhi Spiceland has become my new go-to spot. Great groceries, amazing Indian food, and warm, attentive service all under one roof. If more stores maintained this level of cleanliness, organization, and genuine customer care, they would all be thriving. Highly recommended. Five stars all the way!
