Absolutely phenomenal food and overall experience!! Abu provided fantastic and prompt service, and the food... high quality, fresh, flavorful, hot, and incredibly delicious!!! Insane depth of flavor!!! Def coming back soon! Highly recommended, you won't regret trying this sensational restaurant. Update: Revisited this gem of a restaurant a few months later, and the food and service are even better than before?? How is that possible when my previous experiences were essentially perfect? The flavors, the quality, the freshness, how hot the food comes out... this is truly a remarkable place and still remains my most favorite spot to get curry and Indian dishes in all of Los Angeles!

Before hitting Universal studios, we wanted to have lunch so found this place on yelp with stellar ratings. Kid ordered veg pakoras and papadum. I ordered Fish tandoori and garlic naans. I expected a bit more flavor from the fish tandoori and for the price papadum should have been deep fried instead of roasted. Being Indian food snobs from the SF bay area, this restaurant is around 3.5 out of 5 but given we didn't try any curries and other things, giving it a 4 rating. Service was fast and waiters were courteous. Tip: If you park on the opposite side, crossing street to go to the restaurant can be tricky since pedestrian crossings are too far from the restaurant (10 min walk) so park on the same side of the road as the restaurant or you have to hike a bit or jaywalk which is to be avoided of course.

The food was so good! Our first time trying this restaurant. This is by the far the best Indian food we've had in LA. Everyone was also so attentive and helpful. We got seated immediately and the food came out so fast. We were there for less than an hour. Would definitely recommend ordering the mango lassi & garlic naan! The lamb dishes were also incredible Can't wait to come back!

Tikka masala, the hottest they can make it and butter chicken along with the garlic cheese naan and cheese naan with fresh rice and yogurt. This restaurant definitely lived up to the expectations, extremely clean, great service and the food is absolutely amazing. Abu the server has amazing service!

We went to this restaurant on Father's Day for an early dinner. Although there are parking spots behind the eatery, there are very few (4 or 5). But on a Sunday, parking on the street was easy and plentiful. The dining room is elegantly decorated and bright. Service was impeccable. We were a party of 5 adults plus a baby in a stroller, and we were easily accommodated. (Though the restaurant is not accessible from the front, you can go around the back through the parking lot.) Our appetizers included potato and peas samosas and pakoras. The samosa were like mini knishes, big and stuffed with plenty of potatoes with little flavor. They were lacking the usual Indian spiciness. I honestly don't remember eating any peas. The pakoras were crunchy and satisfying. The naan included plain and onion and pleased us all. We had a mild chicken korma, a medium+ (spice level) lamb korma, a mixed grill tandoori, a medium lamb vindaloo, and a medium chicken tikki masala. We also shared a chicken biryani. The tandoori meat was seasoned and tender. The other entrees were OK, with the medium+ korma needing a little more spice. The lamb vindaloo had more of a curry color and flavor instead of the usual fiery red color. Nevertheless, it was delicious. The chicken biryani could have used more veggies and meat and more spices. Dinner with 6 entrees, 2 appetizers, 2 breads, and tax was about $175.

Came on a Thursday and it's a wonderfully peaceful afternoon. Abu took such good care of us and made wonderful suggestions. I'm so glad we finally came out here, this restaurant has been one of my bookmarks! There's an absolute valid reason La Mirch has such high ratings. Ambience is peaceful, Abu taking care of us was an absolute bonus. Every dish is tasty, freshly made and bustling in flavor. Chicken was tender and moist. Not greasy. I could have eaten so much more had I not been on a personal restricted diet. My husband enjoyed everything! We definitely plan to come here again. Thank you La Mirch for your delicious meals and Abu for your exceptional service!

Never met such a warm individual until I ate here. Service was as if I was being treated like royalty. Butter chicken was insanely rich and not too salty. If you're new to Indian food, I would suggest you order this and a side of garlic naan!

Incredible!! It was my husband and I's first time stopping in, and it met our expectations 10 fold! Abu provided the best customer service we have ever experienced! It was the cherry on top of amazing food! We will be back!

My whole family enjoying the food.

The best Indian food I ever had. I keep coming back because I can't find anything better. Abu and his staff GIVE THE BEST SERVICE. NEVER a moment without water or them checking in. This time I brought my family and highly recommend anyone who enjoys good food to bring their family.

I wish I had more people around me who love Indian food so I could enjoy it more often, but when my cousins said they wanted Indian, I knew exactly where to go. From the moment we walked in, we were honestly most impressed by the service. It was warm, friendly, and genuinely family like, and that alone would bring us back. The food absolutely delivered as well. Everything we tried was impressive, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. You can really taste the quality here. There are no shortcuts, just authentic dishes done the right way. The reviews truly match the experience. This is a must try.

Still very good, adding pictures. Amazing service, super clean, delicious food. The restrooms are also very nice and they have a front and back entrance.

Lamb Bhuna, Chicken Tikka, Garlic Naan, Aloo Gobi

Hands down the best Indian food in LA! Everything was so delicious. My favorite was the garlic naan as it was the star of the show - crispy around the edges and so fluffy in the center, it's perfect with the chicken tikka masala. The service was superb as well, we loved Abu! Ambience is lighthearted and happy. 10/10!!!

Everything is already freshly made when you arrive so it's grab and go. They do have seating and a wide range of drinks. Chicken tikka masala reminds me of tomato basil soup but with a bunch of different spices and chicken added to it and it's comforting because you can eat it with their fragrant rice! And It was the sweetest of the four options but I personally like sweet and savory so this was up there for me. The butter chicken was more savory and garlicky. The palak paneer was my favorite, I'd order that again for sure. The cheese melts in your mouth bc it's so soft. They blend the spinach completely which I really like not to have to chew my spinach. It's very creamy and rich! I wonder if they use coconut milk? The goat curry bone in was the spiciest and most savory of the four options but was a pleasant heat that comes later. They gave good portions of meat and honestly so worth it! The two or three item combos come with naan! They share a parking lot with other businesses in the small plaza. I highly recommend coming here for Indian food. I'm coming back for sure!

We ordered a side of rice and a chicken korma curry and garlic naan. The chicken korma had excellent flavor and the garlic naan was out fresh too. The rice was a good consistency too. In fact - everything was really good - however, I do wish there was a bit more chicken with the curry. It was a little difficult for my wife and I to split the meal like we were expecting to do, and I feel like each curry is more individually suited, rather than for 2. Seems they fired all their good employees to build whatever they're building. I want to love this place- and I have loved this place. But oh it hurts a lot to see two elderly people struggling to run this place on their own who make pickup confusing and yell at you if your order is wrong. I Ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala through their website, and was given Chicken Tikka. Waited 10 minutes to pay for my order, and then they ended up waving off my desert because they couldn't figure out how to use the tap to pay. I tipped the amount it was just incase they couldn't figure it out. I'm heartbroken cuz when I got home and realized the mistake- I called back and politely said I thought I ordered the chicken tikka masala and was met with yelling of "I asked you if you wanted tikka or masala you said tikka!" He never asked me such a thing. Even when I was trying to pay for the rice pudding, i mentioned it was chicken masala and they acted very confused like the needed to make me one and have me pay for it.
