A common and fixable problem, not a huge issue. But I recommend you confirm they cancelled an authorization you don't use.) The experience with the doctor itself was bad. I cried after I left. I felt she was annoyed that I was there, that her time was being used at all, and she and her daughter were making jokes about having a "chip on a shoulder" that felt like a code to make fun of either me or someone else, which did not feel appropriate in front of a patient. The very kind office staffer who checked me out was such a gift after that experience. Again, I cried after I left. I know she has an otherwise good reputation, so that should be noted. (And I am not a high maintenance patient, but it was a really horrible visit.)

During the exam, I was not shown or walked through the prescription that was written for me--either on paper or through the machine. I had hoped to confirm that the prescription provided matched what felt clear to me before leaving that day, rather than discovering afterwards (after the purchase of lenses) that I may not be able to see well with it. I was told to come back after purchasing glasses if I experienced a problem, but I am now in the position of needing to purchase glasses before knowing whether the prescription is actually suitable. Additionally, when I visited the eyeglass section, I was surprised that the frame selection was very limited. I had hoped to choose and purchase glasses directly at the appointment, but the small selection made that difficult. I share this feedback so that it may help improve future patient experiences, especially regarding clearly reviewing prescriptions and offering more support in selecting eyewear before patients leave the office. Appointment time was kept promptly, which to me is the hallmark of a well run practice. BTW, some of the whiners giving bad reviews complain about delivery times. All practices (even Wal-Mart and Sam's) are at the mercy of the optical labs. While this has not been my experience here, it's an issue for any optician's office - small or large. The other doc was abrupt and impatient and he didn't want me to ask any questions. His demeanor indicated that he just wanted to check my eyes and get on to his next patient. Afterwards, I felt like I'd been on an eye assembly line! Next!!! For this visit, Dr. Reeves came in, looked at my "chart" and looked at my eyes and he talked. He patiently answered all of my questions. He also took the time to discuss a genetic eye disease that I just found out that I have. From beginning to end, I was treated like a special patient and when I left the clinic I was totally at peace with the care I'd just received. I've already recommended Dr Reeves to a friend, who's already made an appointment to see him. My eyesight is very important to me, as is my time and the specialist care I need to keep my eyes healthy. I highly recommend Dr. Reeves.

She was very knowledgeable and thorough. I saw Dr. Clement himself for the first time in November 2018 due to some distorted vision I was experiencing. He too is very knowledgeable and thorough. The front desk staff is friendly also. I was a licensed optician in NY for over 35 years and was leery about starting over at a new (to me) optometric office. As an insider in the business, I can tell you that they know their stuff and I highly recommend the services John Clement and his staff provide.
