After paying to have internet equipment installed, I remember calling a few weeks later, to ask if the service could be placed on a vacation hold. My plans changed and I wasn't going to be there for several months. Months later I called and was informed that a vacation hold was not placed on the account. I've been automatically charged every month for service that I have not used at all. The rep I spoke with told me that he would discuss with the owner and get back to me. A couple weeks later I made a follow up call because no one answered my inquiry. The owner himself confirmed that there had not been any data usage since one week after installation. I asked again to have the service placed on hold and requested a retroactive credit. The owner "checked" his phone records and could not find my initial call to them. My response was that I did not remember what phone I called him from. I then asked if he would extend a courtesy credit for an amount he deemed appropriate. What surprised me is that the owner himself was not willing to give me even one months credit. What's worse, is that he never got back to me. A small gesture would have gone a long way. A classic case of being penny wise and pound foolish. With this attitude, a company like Starlink will eventually put them out of business. I will pay a premium for good service and be loyal to a company that demonstrates appreciation for my business. I also will not think twice to change carriers, if the service I'm getting is mediocre. read more

I do NOT recommend Bolt Internet Service. Their service is "Out of Service" far too often. Today it has been "Out of Service" for 24 hours and counting. When you call them to report a problem, all you get is a recording. If you leave messages, they do not get back to you with an update. Bolt is Great, I had Hughes and they sucked. I can now use my computer for work and even watch HBO.

I have been a Bolt customer for about a year. Bought a house in Dewey and the choices were extremely limited in my area. While none of the internet providers were well reviewed, I choose Bolt as they seemed to have the beat service. Initial install was painless and the service was good (10/2 plan). I use it to stream TV and monitor my home while I'm away. Overall, they have been good, if not a little expensive. Then I lost my service while I was away. Long story short, my roofers messed up the antenna, it fell over and filled up with water and died. Got back to the house, called the service department and explained the issue. They initially said they were booked out a week or so. Told them I was in town for a week and interviewing so I NEEDED internet. They worked things around and had a tech out that afternoon. That's Customer Service! Had a new/upgraded antenna installed, some wiring fixed inside the house and had my service back that day. I know all internet providers get a bad rap and most deserve it, but my experience with Bolt has been great so far. I'm a happy customer and their service department rocks in my experience. Install was fast and done in very high quality. Bolt was the best choice O could have made.

This company claims competitive rates, trouble is those rates come with a system that is 3/4 slower then their competitors. So is it really competitive at that point. Don't waste your money on a service that is over priced and SLOW! $150 a month for 25mbps when for $98 a month you can get 100mbps from a more dependable supplier. What a SCAM! read more

Not good. They said if I have any problems they would be glad to come out to help. First day I had problems and called them. Tech guy said he was going to charge me to come out. I demanded a manager. Manager said they would call and come out. No call and it's three days later. I'm getting ready to cancel the whole darned thing. Bad service with a bad attitude. read more

I've had Bolt Internet since 2015. The cost for 3mb is $53 but you'd be lucky to get 1.5. - Recently, for an extra $2.00 ($55) they upped the signal to 5mb. The good news is - I'm now getting 3mb finally - BUT - Paying for 5mb. Oh well - I live in the boonies so you get what you get. read more

I have been with Bolt for just about a year. Over this year service has become worse both with connection issues as well as customer service. Micheal is a current tech and he has always been helpful and understanding during any situation. Recently I had an interaction with another individual named Jason. Not only did he perceive my frustration with our current connectivity issues as a personal attack on him but his solution was to tell I could just go somewhere else if I was not happy. I did not argue and thanks to his great suggestion I was able to find a better provider at a better price. I plan on settling up with Bolt and moving on at the end of the month per his encouragement. Crap! crap! and more crap! You could hand-deliver an email near as fast as Bolt Internet delivers it! Their speed is **shameful.** They should be embarrassed to call this a "service," never mind expect you to pay for it! Examples of download speeds taken randomly through one day: 0.93 Mbps ... 0.44 Mbps (WTF?!) ... 0.84 ... and the FASTEST it got ... hold onto your hat! ... a "whopping" 1 Mbps. Good lord, that was the average speed back ... in 1999!! Bolt Internet is not worth a your time or a single penny. If they actually cared about offering a SERVICE, they'd cut the BS the techs dish out and friggin' move into the 21st century! A shady company with HORRIBLY slow speeds ... inconsistent speeds (drop-offs anyone?!) ... and oh yeah, if you need tech support anytime outside M-F standard office hours, it ain't gonna happen. No one's there. I wouldn't give Bolt Internet the time of day, only a well-deserved rotten review it deserves. (If I could award 0 stars, I would, even 1 is too many.) Its been 9 weeks since I payed my deposit to have bolt internet installed. I still do not have services. I have yet to see an employee or recieve a phone call from bolt. Very poor costumer service. When I call the company about an inquire I get the run around. read more

When a major internet company came to install our new service they didn't have a mount and said, we'll be back in a week, I said no you won't! I called Bolt. They came out that very day. The technician had everything he needed and even set up our TV! We have had zero problems. We stream TV and it's never given us a problem. We are very pleased. read more

Called to inquire about service for my ranch and when I asked how their service compared to others in the area the lady on the phone was very quick to talk bad about all other companies even claiming that the other companies newer equipment affects the performance of their own outdated equipment. Really confused me so I went with another provider. I don't think it is good business to talk bad about your competitors . read more
