He was professional and arrived on time. However, when I got a quote to install a Nest thermostat it was $200 for maybe 20 minutes of work. I got a quote (attached) for Aprilaire 500 bypass Humidifier installed to replace an existing one that's failing and I was told the unit is worth $600 and it would be $1170.00 to install (which included a 5% discount if I bought a service agreement with them). I said it seemed a little high so I got more quotes. So far two reputable places quoted $550 and $425 installed and the unit is $230 at most online. Update: so my Aprilaire 500 humidifier was installed by Green Air Care and everything was great with them (see review). They even fixed a couple quirks with my system. Per Brian's Heating & A/C's request I did call Brian's to see why their quotes were so high but they were unavailable so I asked for an email response. If their response email makes sense this may be updated but $600-900 an hour for labor seems really high to me. As with all large projects I'd recommend getting multiple quotes if time allows but the quotes I received from this business were a little outrageous in my opinion.

They came out twice to review the job to figure out the right way to install the internal parts so the two units would be in the ceiling. It was incredible how they did this. We had two other HVAC company's quote on this job, they didn't come close to the perfect set-up as what Brian's did. We had a small issue afterwords, but they came back and corrected it with absolutely no problem. I HIGHLY recommend this company for any HVAC work needed.

We had an apparently slow leak around our chimney and through the top crown [cracks] that had…read morecaused significant damage in our attic before we discovered it. I called Pratt Chimney and Steve came out within a couple of days to give his evaluation. We needed to have the chimney repaired, attic restoration for water damage, and drywall replacement and painting done. Steve worked us into their cramped schedule in order to prevent further damage as much as possible. Work was scheduled to start a couple of weeks after the estimate. Because heavy rain was expected before the scheduled work start date, Pratt came our and secured a tarp over the chimney areas to prevent further damage. Brad and his assistant were amazing, courteous, and hard working, completing the job with the required follow-up to allow concrete to set properly, perform water testing, et al. The thorough water test of the chimney and the flashing around it revealed further leak points which required full replacement of the flashing by a Pratt Sub-contractor. Final test showed no leaks. I was then able to schedule the other repairs that were required to complete the attic and room drywall damage abatement. One other thing, the original work was completed in June 2020 [I thought that I had entered a review at that time, but it appears that I did not :-(]. In May, 2022, We noticed water dripping in the basement from an apparent leak around a sewer vent pipe [not associated with the chimney]. I called Pratt to see whether I could get their sub-contractor who did the flashing on our chimney to repair this job. He was not available to me, so Steve sent one of his guys out [another super courteous young man], who went on the roof and caulked around the vent pipe, as well as the exposed nail heads there and around the attic vents. All I can say is that I would recommend Pratt's Chimney without hesitation!!!

I had a scheduled cleaning with them early November for my chimney and the pushed their "deep…read morecleaning" service on me and I said yes thinking my chimney would get a great clean and inspection. They leave and charge me $500. I get the invoice a week later and I see that they also charged me $150 for "repairs." They never went and did ANY repairs to my chimney. They also don't have the proper tools to inspect chimneys. They stuck their hands with their phones into my chimney and took a blurry video and gave me that as proof that they had cleaned. Other chimney guys have endoscopes that actually go deep inside the chimney. Fast forward to a week ago, my hvac guy comes back after the cleaning and lets me know that I am still not getting enough draft from my chimney. So essentially the RM duct cleaning guys did nothing and collected $500 from me. I called their support desk and they don't have my address on file. I speak to someone else and they assure me that they'll contact me within the next hour to have this resolved. It's been a week and no response. My hvac guy recommended "Vertical Chimney Care." They came and properly cleaned the chimney, they gave me a great inspection with the proper tools. And only charged me $150 compared to $500! STAY AWAY FROM RM GO WITH Vertical Chimney Care!

I ordered a beautiful door from his company that was matte black,. The technician installed the door with white caulk did not secure with clips and the worst part is that he then spray painted with a black glossy paint not only did he paint the caulk but my fireplace brick and the new door. It was difficult to have him agree to removing the door and refunding me the cost of the door and he was going to remove the paint on the brick and cover the cost . He finally agreed to those terms scheduled a date for him to do the work. HE NEVER SHOWED UP , CALLED or RETURNED THE REFUND. I have tried numerous times to reach this company with no luck.
