He inspected the chimney and let me know of some broken bricks, and worn out mortar on the top end. Suggested I contact a company in the Spring and gave me their phone number. This is unlike my previous chimney company for many, many years. They apparently changed ownership and company name. They've also suffered a huge decline in customer service. David was very responsive and professional. He has been working in this business for over 15 years and had strong knowledge of the business. While I called him for sweeping, he was immediately able to identify a gas leak, which was the result of old piping. He also provided me various options for repairing the interior of the fireplace. I ended up going with one of the options and the fireplace looks great now. In addition to the interior of the fireplace, David went on my roof to also inspect the interior of the fireplace and included some very minor repairs as part of his work. We had some damage to our chimney from a recent storm. Dave was quick to respond to our request for an estimate to repair. Upon inspection he suggested that we contact the company that installed the clay flue because it was not installed correctly and that a reputable company should stand behind their work. We did contact the other company and they (begrudgingly) agreed to repair and we are letting them fix their work because it is a costly repair.
