    Cheeseburger smash

First time here! You walk through the front of the hotel lobby and immediately take a left. You'll see a few kiosks and that's where you make your choices for your order. They have a good mix of options between combos, burgers, chicken sandwiches, French fries, milkshakes, and more! Everything is made fresh to order and the staff is super nice and fast! It's such a clean place to go eat too! Nice seats and plenty to look at when you get in. A must try if you're in the neighborhood!

This is probably one of the best smash burgers I have had in a really long time. The patty was a perfect crisp and juicy at the same time. I got jalapeño and habanero added to my burger and it had a really good heat/spiceness. The burger was also seasoned well and the portion is big. I heard they also had amazing milkshakes so I will need to come back soon to try their milkshakes!

Great place get burgers, fries, and especially chicken wings! Service was so friendly, the chicken was so juicy, flavorful, just perfect! The fries are pretty good too, my favorite was the garlic sauce and any of the chicken wings flavors were amazing! The burgers were good too, can't forget the shake! Overall, I highly recommend and I would come back

Really really great burger like 11 out of 10. Fries were good too, but a small fry was HUGE, no way I could eat that many fries. The only suggestion I could make is this burger made me want some deep fried pickles real bad, and also I wish they had more flavors of shake. A banana shake would have slapped. Anyway, I was not expecting it to be as good of a burger as it was, and we will definitely be back.

Food quality: hit the spot and tasted great! Service: very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere: clean and peaceful when I went. It's inside a Holiday Inn so that's a surprising environment. Overall experience: good! I was fully satisfied and enjoyed my brief dining experience. Notes: quick service and tasty time!

Vegan Impossible Smash combo with Nashville Hot wings, fries and a garlic aioli injector. Delicious!

The absolute BEST BURGER in the area! Consistent, fresh, flavorful and satisfying if I had to sum up just how good Secret Burger Kitchen AKA SBK is. Don't even hesitate, just stop by, order online or on their convenient kiosks in the entrance area and take a seat. Grab a beer, glass of wine or a cocktail and either eat in or take it to go. Vegetarians out there: the impossible veggie smash burger is so good, I choose it myself on most visits. Give it a try! PS: Laurie at the bar counter will take good care of you as will all the staff. She's a good bartender too.

Secret Burger Kitchen in Tacoma serves up one of the better smash burgers I've had. It's a substantial burger that's incredibly satisfying. The restaurant is conveniently located in the Holiday Inn, just to the left of the main entrance. The fries are crispy and delicious, making it a perfect meal. If you're in the area and craving a quick bite, don't miss out on this gem, you won't be disappointed!

    My hand for size comparison.

This place did not live up to all of the hype! We've been seeing a lot of videos on social media promoting this restaurant, but when we visited the other day, it was a huge disappointment. I'll walk through the visit in chronological order. We arrive and you have to walk into and through a hotel lobby in order to get to the burger joint. They have two kiosks set up and a small QR code near those kiosks and that is the only way you can place your order. We wanted to dine in, so we scanned the QR and went and found a table. The menu is pretty basic, and we didn't take very long to decide on what we wanted. I ordered a burger and fries box, my wife ordered a burger, wings and fries' box and we both ordered shakes. The ordering system has some add-ons. Some are free and others cost money, but you really can't customize your order to your liking. My wife loves extra pickles on her burgers but there is no option for anything extra. They have this gimmick item named the sauce syringe flavor injector but they were completely out of every flavor except buffalo. Our shakes came out first and were a bit underwhelming. $7 for possibly a 16oz cup but they look more like 12oz. My wife's had lucky charms on top but is named a chocolate bars shake. Nothing to do with chocolate bars. Mine was a cookies gone wild shake topped with cookie crisp cereal. It was supposed to be an Oreo cookie shake but mine was plain chocolate. While waiting for our food, I noticed that the place is very loud and full of obnoxious people who couldn't keep their conversations at their own tables. Finally, our food came out. You don't get a number; they just scream out your name until you wave or raise your hand and get their attention as to where you're sitting. Your burger only comes with SBK sauce or mayo and even though it looked like a lot of sauce on our burgers, the burgers overall were very dry. Too bad they were out of all but one flavor injector. They do have ketchup and mustard on the table if you need to moisten up your food a bit. The fries are nothing special. They are supposed to be seasoned with SBK seasoning but we really couldn't taste anything other than pre-cooked, frozen fries from a bag. My wife's wings were sauced with Jamaican jerk and they were tasty but we're not sure that the jerk sauce is authentic. Overall, our order cost us $65 and change and I didn't even realize until we were driving home that I had ordered bacon for an extra $3, but it was not on my burger. No matter because we will not be returning to Secret Burger Kitchen. They failed to impress us, and we just didn't like too many details about the place. We've had far better smash burgers for a lot less money and the smash burger craze is winding down so we'll stick to those. Thanks for reading, Cheers!

A couple of weeks ago, I came across an Instagram post promoting or reviewing this place. I usually avoid burger restaurants because they primarily cater to meat-eaters, but I decided to give it a try after seeing the vegan options on the menu. The hotel lobby had convenient kiosks where I could easily order my food and add any extras I desired. I had planned to visit this Sunday and took advantage of the kiosks. While you can also order at the registry, I highly recommend using the kiosks. I personally believe that the sauce syringes on vegan and veggie burgers aren't necessary because they don't absorb much flavor. However, they still taste great as toppings. I also noticed that they had Impossible burgers, but I wanted to avoid GMOs, so I opted for their Garden-style burgers instead. I've had Impossible burgers in the past, and they do taste very good. However, like I said, I want to avoid GMOs because I prefer to eat a cleaner diet. I wasn't sure how good the Garden-style burger would be, but I was pleasantly surprised. My expectations were average, but this burger exceeded them. It was truly amazing! I was unaware they had double or smash patties for the Garden (Plant Based) and Impossible burgers via the remix option. I could have easily eaten another one; it was very that good. However, I had a bit of a hassle with the pick-up delivery. It took much longer than I expected, and the bartender seemed to be juggling multiple tasks. I don't know what to say, but it seemed like their multitasking skills were low, especially during peak hours. I understand that no one is perfect at multitasking, but if you're just handing out pick-up orders, it shouldn't be a difficult task. That's just my personal opinion, but overall, I'm still very happy with my vegan burger. I might try the impossible burger in the future, but I'm pleased with my meal. I didn't try anything else on the menu, but it's definitely worth it if you're a vegetarian or vegan. This place is definitely worth checking out!

They make it easy to order. You can order through the kiosk or the QR code. I recommend the QR code so you can self-seat yourself and don't have to hold up the kiosk line. They have bar seating, booths, and tables. The staff keep the tables clean. and you can watch sports on the two tv screens at the bar. This place is pretty popular so I had good expectations. I ordered the signature smash burger with the notorious syringe and unicorn milkshake. They call out your name when your order is ready so you'll have to pay attention for pickup or dropoff. The server was friendly and I noticed she was engaged with the customers in the room. The signature smash burger was delicious and it came as a 1/3 lb patty. I added the notorious syringe which was an additional $2, making my burger about $20. This place is busy due to TikTok, even at 1:30p on a Sunday. However, the smash burger was ok. I think the syringe is a great gimmick to get people to come in but I wasn't "wow"ed by the burger. The unicorn chocolate milkshake was mid. It had lucky charms on top but I've had better chocolate milkshakes. The meal was pretty expensive for a burger and shake, that honestly, tasted average. On top of that, the tables are too high to eat off of. The tables are chest high while the chairs and booth seats are low. It made it uncomfortable to eat and several times I had to stand up to reach.

Signature Bacon Smash (1/3 lb) w/ Cheese & Fries

Stopped by after seeing this spot all over my instagram and TikTok feed, and i went in with pretty high expectations. I ordered the signature bacon smash with mushrooms and a side of fries. The portions were solid and the food definitely left me full, though the prices lean a bit on the higher side - still fair for what you get. The burger itself was flavorful, but the thicker cut bacon and fries weren't quite my style since i prefer both on the crispier side. Nothing was wrong; it just comes down to personal preference. I'd probably skip those next time. I had a friend pick up my order, so I can't comment on service. Overall, it's a good place to try at least once, and I'd come back, but it's not a spot I'd pick over some other smash burger places

    Chop Cheese With Fries

Located in a Holiday Inn, this burger joint is truly a hidden gem. We were visiting family in Tacoma, and they said they always had this burger place on their list, so we had to try it. I'm glad we found this place. You order at the kiosk, and your name is called out when your food is ready. I got the Chop Cheese with fries, and the fries were definitely the highlight of my meal! The chop cheese was good, but omg the fries.... I could not stop eating the fries. So addicting! Highly recommend if you're in the area, it's worth stopping by to try.

I will start by saying I am not a burger person, HOWEVER I really liked this place and the reason being is their sauces - They have a variety! So you're not just limited to their house sauce you can choose your flavor. Located within the hotel lobby but separated. The restaurant was clean. You order via kiosk and the ladies serving are a great help and attentive, even on a busy night. Burger itself was juicy, not too much toppings and not too little. I recommend adding the grilled onions!! Their fries are my favorite fries as well, semi battered and go well with any sauce.

I visit viet kitchen about 1x/week!…read more I usually order SP4. Banh hoi thap cam to-go. This is a vermicelli noodle sheet dish with grilled pork, shrimp, and grilled pork sausage! The grilled pork is my favorite part! The serving size is huge so it could definitely feed 1.5 people. I usually eat about 75% in one sitting and save 25% later. The other dish I order if I'm eating at the restaurant is R9. Fish tamarind sour soup and Caramelized braised fish with rice. This is a staple I had when I was younger and ate out at Vietnamese restaurants. The food here is truly authentic Vietnamese! The prices for some of the dishes are also very reasonable for Tacoma. A banh mi (Vietnamese baguette) only costs $9. In addition, there's free and easy parking in front of the restaurant, happy hours from 2-6 pm Monday through Friday, and catering! Highly recommend this place.

I completely forgot to take a picture of my food because I was way too hungry!…read more When we first sat down, they completely forgot to bring us menus, so we had to ask for them. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, and I really appreciated that they were able to make substitutions since I don't eat pork blood. I also mentioned multiple times that I didn't want cilantro, but when my soup came out, it was covered in cilantro. They took it back and picked most of it out, but there was still quite a bit at the bottom of the soup. I really don't like cilantro, so I tried my best to eat around it. Despite that, the broth was AMAZING. It had the perfect spicy kick and so much flavor. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the crab balls tasted like they were made with real crab. They also gave me a generous amount of meat, which I loved! The fresh coconut was also so good! Since we're in Washington, we probably won't get the freshest coconut like you would somewhere tropical, but it definitely did the job. Overall, the food itself was really good, but I wish they had been more careful about the cilantro since I specifically mentioned it several times.

We were greeted and asked if we were ready and it was good that the menu is pretty condensed and easy to read as I can be indecisive. I got their large Cheesy British warmed up with a side of their macaroni salad while my boyfriend got the Smokey Mountain small warmed up. The cashier was friendly and repeated our order back to ensure we got what we ordered. Once we paid, him and another employee got to work. They have a clean and well-maintained bathroom here, which was great as I did have messy hands after eating my sandwich. The interior here feels very homey with plenty of tables and chairs, tall chairs at a bar and a bench to wait for your food. They deliver your order to you if you dine in while you have go pick up the order if you did take out. You get a thank you from the employees when you pick up or leave which I thought was sweet. The menu items are really affordable and they also have great combo meals too! The options of chips they have great pairings for their sandwiches. Speaking of sandwiches, our sandwiches were some of the best sandwiches that I have ever had. They really cut their ingredients thin which I personally loved as it stays in the sandwich better and adds a consistent texture. My boyfriend's Smokey Mountain was absolutely delicious as I feel it is hard to find good spots with pastrami. We look forward to trying out more of their menu!
