I ordered the Bulgogi burger just to try something new. The order taker said that all he knew about it is that it was Korean and the meat was marinated. Tornedout it had a very large pile of marinated beef meat strips mixed with cooked onion slices. The meat and onions were delicious but the sandwich started to immediately fall apart as soon as I picked it up. It was both large and extremely juicy. I opened it to try to eat it with knife and fork instead of having it fall in pieces on me and my basket. But the bread was disintegrating from all the juice and so was the paper lining the basket. I really liked the flavor of the meat but was unable to eat it as it became mixed up with the paper and the bun was "dissolving" in the juice. Needs revamping and to be served on a plate if it can't be held and eaten as a sandwich. read more

The burgers taste as good as they look. And they look as good as they do in their ads. I don't know how they make their fries, but I have never had better. The seasoning and crunch is wonderful. Generous servings. My husband and I share an order of fries with a burger. The new managers are friendly and keep the facility very clean.They have added new menu items. When we are in a hurry to catch our boat back to Vashon, we order by phone and have it to go. It is a favorite stop after a busy day off-island. read more

The Red Wagon is under new management. Large menu, from hamburgers to oysters, they even offer a vegan burger. It's all vegetables except for the bun. I ordered the Red Wagon single patty with bacon, cheese and lots of veggies. It comes with American Cheese, a cheese I dislike. I asked if I could have Cheddar instead, and voilà I was accommodated. Really cute establishment with the animation on the walls. It's not very big so takeout may be be better for most. It's located in a strip so parking is easily available. I went to this location because the one near me in Puyallup is closed in Sunday. My partner discovered this chain while delivering for door dash. It was a Sunday so it was pretty much a ghost town inside. The service is nothing to write home about. They aren't friendly nor rude. Just leveled enough to get the job done. I asked for a side of Mayo more than once and it took forever. I didn't want my sandwich to get cold. My partner had a burger and I opted for a Philly. Both were satisfying. The burgers were good but at that price they should be. 2 burgers, fries, onion rings, and chicken fingers. $63.00. When I ordered the onion rings, the person taking my order didn't know what I was ordering and seemed lost. No real ambiance as it is Formica tables and benches. Best burger I've had in a long time!! And HUGE! Also, I love that they have beer battered fries (my fave) and their milkshakes are really good too! I wish they were a tad sweeter but I believe that's because they don't add that syrup crap so that's a good thing and they're mostly natural because you can taste actual raspberries in the raspberry shakes. She was also multitasking different jobs that a lady from the back was giving her while she was also taking orders and answering uber drivers and customers questions. The lady from the back who came out to give her jobs was extremely short with her and the lady seemed very irritated. The young girl was very respectful even while the lady from cooking area was pretty disrespectful when the young lady tried clarifying some instructions. Which the fans in there make it extremely hard to hear. Lastly that place is so hot. Cashier ( young lady) went into the back a few times asking about meals that customers and uber drivers had been waiting to receive. A man came out from cooking area and was pleasant. I'm not sure he knew that the lady from cooking area was giving her jobs that took her away from the cashier area. Customers had to go out to their cars to keep cool because it was way too hot inside. Makes a horrible working environment which is most likely why the lady cooking was so unpleasant. I thanked the young cashier and let her know in front of the owners how awesome she did. Like always the food is fantastic says my granddaughter. The pictures on this Yelp page show unphotogenic, gooey masses of food. Initially that turned me away from Red Wagon, but it turns out that what the burgers lack in aesthetic appeal they make up for in flavor. The burger menu has little more variety than your everyday bar & grill, but it was still hard to make a choice. Lots of compelling burger tastes, from the tangy Hawaiian burger to the creamy Mushroom burger, to a whole range of Philly Cheesesteaks. It will warrant a return visit. Fries don't usually maintain their crispiness after a delivery trip, but Red Wagon delivered (heh). We had to briefly stick the food in the oven to reheat it, but we were impressed by how pristine all the food tasted even after a practically half-hour ride in an UberEats delivery vehicle. The fried pickles were solid, and the fries were my favorites: crispy outside with plenty of soft potato inside. We both ordered the BBQ burger, which made us moan with pleasure. It had exactly the right amount of sauce: saturated without being a soggy mess. The buns held their structure admirably. We'll be back to try some of the other offerings! The price was high. A meal that should've been $20-30 ended up costing $45 before delivery fees. It always strikes us as pretentious when a burger place sells fries separately. $5 for a handful of fries was underwhelming, and it's really strange to see $11+ burgers being served in plastic baskets lined with checkered-paper. The presentation detracts from the otherwise high quality food. Since this was a delivery, I can't comment on the restaurant itself, but these burgers deserve to be showcased in a Ram-style restaurant, not a walk-up counter. Partner with a local brewery and Red Wagon will almost certainly be a Tacoma Top 5. read more

First time here. I'd seen it referenced under The Habit Burger Grill before (as a better burger) and since I was craving a burger and wanted to grab it fast, I gave it a try. I got the most basic burger, no cheese and all the standard toppings which were that of which you'd get on a Whopper and tasted similar, if I remember correctly from the last time I had one 15 plus years ago. The burger was huge at 1/3 pound, and I could feel it's weight. The burger itself taste great with a nice texture and was cooked about medium-well. The bun was fresh and lightly grilled and I liked all of the fresh toppings. They had fries, onion rings, shakes, etc but knowing the standard burger is 1/3 pound, it was easy to avoid the temptation to get a side. I would come back again, when the crave hits in a half year or so. read more
