One of the cleanest and well organized Indian stores in the US. Most Indian stores you go to here are challenging to navigate and look for what you need. Not here! The shelves, the refrigerators, the freezers, everything is well organized and maintained. Great job.

Really wasn't sure what to expect but my mind was blown by the authenticity and MmmMmm of original flavors! They carried items that are soo hard to find in other stores and Asian stores! The spices aisle made my day. Hunting for these spices usually broke my spirit to cook or my wallet... and they had extras to spare! Carefully packaged, maintained, stored, and organized helpfully for ease of finding! Lots of snacks and desserts with other frozen yummies you can't find so easily! So eager to go back!!

3.5 stars Funnily…read moreenough, I never knew that there was an H Mart in Chino, or rather existed in-between Sam's Club and Kohls! I visit this plaza often due to Sam's Club, but rarely drive in the plaza towards Kohls so I was surprised when my friend told me the other week. I needed to head to both Kohls and Sam's Club for errands and stopped by H Mart to grab a few items. I am spoiled by the H Mart in Diamond Bar (DB), so I was expecting something along the same lines but it was a bit different in this location. It is cleaner but some of the produce and fruit were not as fresh as the DB location. Also, there was an entire fridge aisle of alcohol drinks! That sure was a sight to see, since I do not ever recall seeing that in the DB location, or at least not that close to the entrance, let alone across from the produce and fruit. We did see a worker throwing out prepared food, so they must be clearing out already prepared food halfway through the day or something because we were surprised as it was still early afternoon. We do not recommend purchasing the prepped sweet potato here as they are dry and hard, not as fresh as the DB location. We were able to find what we needed and were on our way. The lines to the cashier are very short so it is convenient, as compared to the lines at the DB location, along with the always busy parking lot. This location is a bit smaller than others and also a bit pricier, probably due to the location. Overall, it is convenient if one is in the area and need a few items, but this would not be my main H Mart to shop at.

This is where I'm going to definitely tell you to never listen to anybody else's opinion and you should always try things for yourself. Because when I came here, it was beautiful. The hot foods bar may not be as big as the costa mesa location, but there's plentiful teriyaki chicken, salmon, soups, etc. And all of it is really good in my opinion. There's an infinite variety of Japanese snacks and the cashiers were so nice and kind. Even the security guard was helpful. I also just wanted to mention that the beef prices here were some of the best I had ever seen! Steaks for 7 to 8 bucks??? This place makes it possible to eat well even on a budget, and I am extremely grateful for that. I know for I fact I don't need to drive all the way to Costa Mesa anymore because this Tokyo Central is really, really great in my strong opinion. 10/10.

They have a nice selection of seasonal produce to go along with the staples. Their prices are higher, but the quality is there. Fish selection and quality is great. Prices are reasonable for the quality of seafood. I buy snapper here for ceviche, but get your jalepenos at a Mexican market for freshness and price. The prepared foods - sushi, poke, onigiri, musubi, hot dishes - are all tasty. They can add up fast though. The snacks and drinks are awesome if you like the Japanese snacks and drinks. Liquor selection is small but good quality. Whenever I go in, I spend way too much, but I am always happy with my purchases. Oh, parking is a challenge. Busy with small spaces.

Although this Indian grocery seems worthy of four stars, I'm only giving it three due to its…read moreslightly misleading name. I think when most Americans see or hear the word Asia, they think of China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and southeast Asia in general. This is why my friend and I were surprised when we walked into this store, named SpiceAsia, and discovered an Indian grocery. Not that there's anything wrong with Indian groceries, but it's not what we were expecting. I was expecting to find the kind of instant noodle bowls I had when I served in Okinawa; Korean short ribs; pad thai, chow mein, or yakisoba noodles; and so forth. Instead we discovered masala noodles, grey mullet steaks, gulab jamin mix, coconut powder, etc. I know many parts of the world India is considered part of Asia, as it's indeed on the Asian continent. There again, so is Russia. I think I would have been equally surprised finding borscht in this grocery as I was masala. So yes, it's a small, decent Indian grocery. I ended up buying some masala to add to some dinners with some extra curry, and trying the spiced, fried banana chips (which were delicious). I simply wish the place were called SpiceIndia instead of SpiceAsia.

Inside the shelves looked stocked and well maintained. The staff was running around refilling and restocking at the time we visited. Always a good sign. This was my first time stopping by and I did notice. They had a roasted duck hanging in the corner. If I wasn't in a rush, I totally would have gotten myself a little treat. Normally I stop at H Mart or Zion Mart, but this was a fun treat and side quest with friends! Bonus were my dried fruits snacks that I absolutely love. I can't wait to go back and get more. When I tell you that these things are addicting, I really truly mean it as someone who grew up eating these. There were a few things missing that I was looking for on the selection seemed smaller than what I was hoping for. The veggie section seemed smaller, but if you were looking for Durian, they did have that. Prices were reasonable on the things they did have however. Inside it was definitely a smaller grocery than some of the other others. I'll be back for my snacks maybe not so much for the fruits and veggies.
