We usually come here for lunch buffet. We really love Indian buffet because we enjoy lots of dishes. The nice thing about buffet is you can have a little bit of everything. Our favorite is lamb or goat curry, spinach paneer, fried rice and creamy chicken. They have lots of vegetarian choices also. The lamb and goat in the curry is so tender and flavorful. Spinach paneer is a little spicy but taste good. Creamy chicken is my son's favorite. The creamy sauce is rich in flavor and great for naan dipping into it. read more

Let's start at the beginning. Went in to order some takeout. Not very familiar with Indian food so the Cashier was a great help. To make matters a bit more complicated, I am a plant based eater so again, the Cashier was excellent in steering me to some good choices. Now to the food, it was perfect. Not too much spice but enough to let my mouth know I was having a bit of spice! Very flavorful dishes, both plant based and regular! I will be visiting them again. Ganesh used to be Abhiruchi, which I frequented many times in the last decade. The original owner retired and the new owners retained the South Indian Andhra Pradesh cuisine. The staff are friendly. There is a big variety of Vegetarian & non-Vegetarian dishes to try out in the buffet. As expected, typical buffets, make it mild than usual Indian style hot and spicy :) It would be nice to include the Tea than pop drinks to go with the Indian theme. The place is very spacious and clean. We went with a big group of 20+ friends and were give separate tables so we can all sit together. I liked the 3 different desserts (the Mango custard seems to be off that day but the other 2 Semiya payasam and Carrot halwa were pretty good) in the buffet, its a good surprise that they were not the usual Gulab Jamun etc. I hope they can add some spicy flavors and rotate some of the dessert options. read more

My husband and I were requested to ourselves upon entering, which we didn't object to. The cuisine was outstanding, but the service was subpar, earning a one-star rating. Following the server's delivery of our food, we didn't see him again, despite being one of only two tables. We waited to place additional orders and request refills, observing as he walked around, occasionally glancing in our direction. I attempted to catch his attention, but he walked away. After 15 minutes, he asked if we needed the check, and we said yes. He said come up here and then disappeared into the kitchen. When we opened the door, he tyen came out and said excuse me sir, and my husband inquired about the delay. Although the food was good, we wouldn't recommend dining here due to the neglectful service after food delivery, even with only two tables. read more

Thanks to our favorite Indian buffet, now we are more inclined to try other Indian buffets in town whenever we see one. Ganesh was located on my way home so I have always wanted to give it a try. The first impression was alright. It's a quiet restaurant with lot of seating inside. The staff quickly greeted us and told us to help ourselves, and we did. After settling into our table, we went straight to the buffet. You will find a few selections for each dish in the buffet, there were a few deep fried dishes, a few curry selections and a few desserts as well. At Ganesh, you will find a mini salad bar and free fountain drinks as well. My favorite items were the roasted chicken, warm Indian-style donuts and the yogurt salad. This is a nice place to have some pretty good Indian food. We just ate at their buffet. They had a good selection of items, both vegetarian and non vegetarian. The food quality was great and not sweetened up like at many Indian eateries we never visit again. Well, we went here because my husband saw the word BUFFET. Yes, they have a buffet which is marginal. The stand out were the cabbage curry and the lamb curry. Naan was plain, saag was okay. The Dahl was good just a bit salty. The butter chicken if you like that dish (I do not) we did taste it and for butter chicken it was pretty good. $19.99 plus fountain drink. The food here was so delicious! I tried the chicken masala and the lamb curry dish, both were amazing. I also had garlic naan that came with a sauce that has bits of apple and banana in it which I would gladly just eat that as a snack on any day. You have to ask for a Dosa if you want one, can take yo to 5-10 minutes to get one. And it's plain dosa. Service can lag when gets busy. Which it was just when we went in to eat! Doesn't not have the best appeal on the inside more like a street style seating. Table are way too close to each other and are free flowing. May return may not. Depends how hungry I am. Do bring an appetite to the lunch buffet though. read more

We had such high hopes for Ganesh after reading all the great reviews. I don't know if we just hit a bad day but noon on a Friday should be a reasonable time to get representative food. My husband had the buffet and I ordered from the menu. I tried the Ganesh special which is Masala Dosa, Sambar, and one each of Idli, Vada, and Masala Vada with 2 chutneys. It's a great value but the Ildli was very dry and flavorless, and the Vadas were heavy and dry. The coconut chutney had an off flavor that tasted spoiled to me. The chile chutney was good. The Sambar was very bland. The Dosa was good and the potato Masala was mild but good. I also ordered veggie pakora. The batter coating was bland and heavy leaving it undercooked in areas. The Gobi Paratha I ordered was dry and barely filled as well as bland, flavorless. Hubby tried several things from the buffet, mostly chicken curries and rice. His tandoori chicken was dry and the chicken biryani was not prepared properly at all. We were so disappointed with our meal. Our usual is Chennai Masala in Hillsboro and their food is so much better than this was! I will say our waiter was very nice and the place appeared clean and they do have an extensive menu with options that we can't get at our usual place. We went for the buffet on Wednesday at 11:35. The place seemed nice and the greeter was friendly. The tables did seem to be rather squished together but it wasn't too bad. Unfortunately the food was all rather disappointing as it did not have all the subtle flavors and aromas that quality Indian food should have. Most dishes were simple and over peppered and lacking any complexity. The Chicken Makhani sauce was more like a can of Campbell's tomato soup. The Tandoori Chicken was like reheated leftovers, and had no flavor at all and was dry and almost inedible. The Rasam was not good at all and seemed to have no spices other than pepper, and more importantly it was lacking the Tamarind flavor which is what normally makes it so good.. The Sambar was also very bland. No Chai and no Lassi included. Soft drinks are free but we never drink them. All in all it was rather disappointing. They need to improve the ingredients for all the dishes and make them more complex. There were no Indian customers in the restaurant while we were there for an hour and a half which is always a bad sign. With a few improvements this could be a very nice restaurant, but for now I can only give it 3 stars. We really wanted to like this place more as it is very conveniently located for us, so I hope they make some changes and we will give them another try in a few weeks to see if they have improved. This is my fourth time coming here for the weekend lunch buffet. Initially I had a very good experience, the food was excellent as was the service. Then every subsequent visit got worse and this last time I went I thought the quality and variety of their food was horrible, some dishes were inedible in my opinion. The naan was super thin and flavorless where it used to be fresh and pillowy. They served hot kheer which is something I've never tasted as Kheer is meant to be served cold. The butter chicken used to be chicken breast that tasted fresh and now they added what tasted like chicken tikka thighs that were left over from days before and dry. Aside from the food not being very good is their women's bathroom smells SO bad, I have noticed this terrible smell every time I've gone there and it's extremely off putting. They need to fix this immediately. Very disappointing to see how they have gone downhill with the quality and service of what I thought would be my go to Indian restaurant. read more

We checked out the weekday lunch buffet today at Ganesh after reading all the very positive reviews and were not disappointed. The food selection & quality was on point. We enjoyed all the dishes we tried. They tasted fresh, well spiced & balanced, not bland. The dishes had helpful labels with a brief description. The saag paneer and gulab jamun were especially tasty. Lots of vegetarian offerings too and a self-service fountain drink machine. Definite pluses. The staff were efficient, friendly & gracious. Drop by for their lunch buffet and it's a feast! Many varieties of curries and breads to accompany them were laid out for you to have at. I thought their curries were all very solid with special shoutout to the Dal Curry, Lamb Vi daloo, and Yellow Veggie Curry. Everything packed a punch that creeps up on you so be sure to have the Raita on the side -- super fresh and refreshing. In fact, all their sauces and food used good quality ingredients and were constantly replenished so you'll always get a plate of fresh food. Their meats were very tender as well. I've loved Indian food my whole life! Both my Dad and Grandma were born in India and made incredible dishes when I was growing up. We usually cook Indian at home but my daughter and I had time to go out together so after a search on Yelp, Ganesh had outstanding reviews so we went there on a Sunday night. We ordered Paneer Tikka Masala and Lamb Saag upgraded to a Thali Dinner. It was the perfect amount of food and delicious. The owner is a force of nature, he was handling phone calls, delivery orders all while doing a good job with attentive service as well! I have not been to an Indian food buffet in many years. I loved this place when it was Aburuchi. Most of their entrees are priced at $16-$20 so we thought it was a good idea to buy the $18.99 lunch buffet. And it was an excellent deal. We loved the butter chicken, daals, samosa, Naan, and especially the bar with sauces. They offer you a fresh dosa (crepe) that is included with the meal, definitely say yes and you'll get a hot crêpe delivered to your table to dip and wrap your yummy food in. Loved that unlimited soft drinks were included. And to top it off they had my favorite dessert, warm keer rice pudding! Would definitely recommend to anyone. At first the price seems steep but considering all you get, it's actually a phenomenal deal. read more

First time here since it changed to Ganesh. When it was Abhiruchi I had been here a few times and more times when it was located off TV Highway. I think I was the first customer today.. They had on offer it was 8 buffet items that were vegan which included two soups and two types of rice. 3 of the cutneys were vegan coconut, tamarind, and another one which I don't recall... they didn't have idly. But I asked the young man and he said we can make you some... but I didn't want to pay extra if it wasn't included with the buffet and he said no dont worry no extra charge. Now here's the skinny on the buffet food. I was surprised and unexcited about the taste and flavor. Nothing had any desernable great taste.... just bland and flat. Usually when I go to these type of Indian buffets after my first plate I'm enjoying a few of the items and feeling wow this tastes great and going back up to get a few more items on my second trip with enthusiasm. I didn't have any of that feeling at Ganesh. After eating the various items I was ready to go. Their was no spice no herbs ..... the idly were very dense and not soft and fluffy like I've had at other places. Even the soups had no spices or herbs and minimal veggies. I also noticed their were no dried red Chilli peppers in any thing. Which was disappointing. The service was excellent. The younger gentleman was very attentive and at the ready to assit with anything needed. The ambiance open bright lots of light and many tables. Felt appropriate for a buffet. This place is really good. It's NOT fancy but it's clean and the staff really does care about serving tasty food and ensuring customers are happy. We especially enjoy the weekend buffets where there's a good selection of rice, curries, and meats. The chili chicken is a favorite. Was starving at lunch time on a random Wednesday and craving Indian cuisine, so I came here after reading positive Yelp reviews. It was a small/medium-size buffet that had a variety of options like saag paneer, chicken vindaloo, chicken makhani, and vegetable korma. I wasn't blown away by any of the entrees - they just lacked the flavors that I was hoping for. Ironically, they had some of the best Indian desserts I've ever had - the sugar balls (donuts soaked in honey/sugar?), vanilla pudding with apples, and rice pudding. Their naan bread also was great - a bit salty, which was unusual. The price was $18/person, which was a tad high I thought but I certainly ate my share. Staff were friendly. Ambiance was just ok - I don't recall the decor, but it wasn't memorable. The parking lot had lots of spaces, though it was almost totally full when we got there. The now-Ganesh food is just OK, dull American bland during the week, more interesting on weekends, but more expensive then, too. For a buffet the food is delicious. The place is clean, not the greatest atmosphere a little cafeteria like. But I'm overall very pleased . Staff is friendly and attentive. Lamb Curry is excellent... Came in for the weekend lunch buffet. The spread was a wide selection of everything you could want. I was particularly impressed they included fresh naan, mini samosas, a chutney bar, and access to a fountain drink station. On a hot day, it was pleasantly cool inside. As a buffet, everything was pretty mild when I prefer more spiciness. I also wished I could have had some hot chai to pair with my dessert. I loved abhiruchi. I'd venture to say it was my favorite Indian place. I was crestfallen when they moved. The new location I thought had taken a step back from the old location. Buffet wasn't as big, some items weren't there anymore. Just not thrilled. Now I'm told this place is just as good. I don't think it is. Sorry. My favorite dish is the chicken makhani. But now The pieces of chicken are more uniform and I don't think as flavorful. I actually thought mine was not as hot temperature wise as it should have been. I see pictures of samosas but didn't see any on the buffet. I also don't know why chicken is the only protein now. The paneer dish literally had no pieces of paneer in it. I love the free rc products. Takes me back. Now I understand trying to maintain the online presence but there was stuff all over the place from their online orders. Maybe four or five tables were taken by stuff. If I ran a restaurant I'd totally do the same but I'd expect better. I appreciate that they have a buffet. If you liked Abhiruchi, you will like Ganesh. Everything is the same except the name and the owner. The new owner is very nice and friendly to his customers. Apparently the former owner retired and moved back to India. I visited today to try their lunch buffet. Buffets pretty much disappeared after covid so it's great to see them coming back. Buffet lunch is a great way to try a variety of items and enjoy as much as you like. The downside is that buffet food is made to appeal to the general public so it's usually quite mild. There is a variety of meat items and vegetarian items. Soda is the only beverage included with the buffet. Chai and Lassi are extra right now. I would like to see Chai included as I don't care for soda. My dining companion said the food was not hot enough so maybe they can adjust the heat settings. The lunch buffet is available everyday they're open. The price for weekday lunch buffet is now 17.99 which is still a good deal considering all you get. Ganesh also offers the same large menu of items as Abhiruchi did. If you're searching for some tasty Indian food, give Ganesh a try! Really missed Indian buffets since covid so I was happy to find one open on the weekends. There were about 10 hot dishes, including a variety of chicken and veggie dishes. The chicken dishes were really tasty and always my son's favorite. They'll make fresh dosa and bring it to your table, you just have to ask! It's crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The somosas are crispy and plump and small enough to have more than one, they also have a good spice! Their naan is soft and chewy and always fresh. They also have a variety of sauces to accompany the dishes that brightened up the dishes nicely. We will definitely be back again! read more

Was looking forward to eating there. Arrived on a Friday at 5:07. Place was completely empty. Yet, the only man working, sat us and ignored us completely while focusing on take out orders. Not even a drink order. Obviously the place must be good. Sadly, I'll never know. Such poor service when the place was literally empty. After waiting a while, the server even asked if we were ready after we had been waiting. We said YES! He proceeded to walk away anyway to handle additional take out orders from his beeping machine. This is one time Yelp let me down. This place was very odd: Oddly cold, oddly empty, and odd people working there who didn't really seem to want to be there. The servers were on their cell phones constantly, and we had to get our own water refills. Not the end of the world... just notable. Tried all the samosas: they were fine, but slightly over cooked on the edges. Garlic nan was fantastic. The tandoori chicken was downright dry. We couldn't finish it. At this point, I noticed the signs indicating that they do a daily lunch buffet. I couldn't help but wonder if what we were eating were re-warmed leftovers.
