Food, ambience and taste were not that great. We were three people. Ordered Dosa, Paneer Frankie, assorted pakoda and pav bhaji. None of them were good. Especially the pakode were so bad. They were not in shape at all and under cooked. In fact, we were not able to tell which were onion pakode and which one were mirchi pakode/bajji. The edges were burnt. And the middle was undercooked. At one corner of the shop water was there. We had to go all the way for water. The people next to us missed their order because they could not even hear their number getting called. Even we also were about to miss our calling. But my cousin was bringing water, so she could hear. Will not visit again as there were many options around. read more

Ok place. Ok food. Nothing bad but you could just tell they're trying to be Taj Chaat House but not doing it as well. Got the masala dosa - good but super oily. Walked in and there were about 10 employees or more and not one greeted me for at least 3 minutes. I was the only one in the restaurant and my food took a relatively long time. No meat.. just veg/rice dish. Thought it could have been better with something else on the plate like bread or some greens/salad. The menu was very overwhelming. Saw this place featured in a youtube video and since we were in the Dallas area, decided to check it out. The first thing that catches your eye when you enter the restaurant is the huge poster of Nariman Point, Mumbai. It sure made me nostalgic! And the food also lives up to the expectations setup by the decor. The menu is huge and between 3 people we ended up trying 2-3 different chaat items, a sandwich, a kati roll and egg bhurji with pav. All the food was great but the chaat items were the stand out. We also felt pretty safe covid precautions wise. All the staff was wearing masks and very few tables were occupied. This is not a 5 star restaurant, but definitely delicious comfort food!! Everything is served on styrofoam plates with plastic forks and cups. The serving portions were large and the prices were very cheap. It's a great lunch spot!! Service is very quick! My friend and I ordered dosa and samosas. They were so yummy and filling!! I also tried pani puri for the first time. I had never tried this before so I have nothing to compare it too, but I really enjoyed it!! My only suggestion would be for the restaurant to have some pictures of some of the menu items for some of us who are not as familiar with Indian food (like you see at Chinese restaurants). read more

Love love this place, it has a Mumbai food feel with all the chaats, pao bhaji, ice gola, Faluda kulfi and what not. Loved the live counter in the centre of the restaurant making and prepping fresh meals. Ordered Samosa chaat, masala dosa and pao bhaaji, and they all were full of flavours. The service was quick, food tasted good and decently priced. Only negative feel was the water cooler was leaking and it was messy around. I came here for some chaat and pani puri. I ordered my food and ate pani puri first and it had no taste except for being spicy and bitter and I thought probably other stuff will taste better. But to my utter disappointment the chaat also had no taste, very low spice, salt or anything. There is no taste to chaat, I don't know how even that is possible. We passed this place on a Saturday night and the line was out the door filled with natives so I figured this place must be really good. So I returned for lunch on a weekday when it opened at 11am. So, although the kitchen staff were all busy looking, it took about 35 minutes to get our food after ordering. Our platter included tea or coffee. When our food # was called, I went to counter to retrieve and asked for tea. I was told, " you get that later"... huh? Um, ok. After I finished eating, I went to counter for the tea and I was greeted with an annoyed look. The tea was spiced with something really foreign to me. It was pleasant tasting, but I have no idea what it was. Another customer next to us was eating his food and apparently had ordered another dish but he had to wait like 20 minutes for it, so he just sat there waiting. A big argument broke out with customers whose order wasn't ready when promised. A group of men obviously on lunch break came in and sat for 20 minutes and then all approached the counter in frustration asking about their food. They sat down and after 10 mins I saw only one of them got their lunch. Lol. Imagine the 3 others watching him eat. And the food? Yes it was yummy, but do you have the patience to withstand the long wait and iffy customer service? The order taker was very patient with me otherwise. If you're not in a hurry, it's an interesting place to see all the discontentment. There's also a sign that says they have right to refuse service to anyone they like. Lol. What's that about? Worst food and pathetic customer service. They don't give a dam about customers respect. Servers has attitude issues. We were group of 14 and had a very bad experience. As we kept the tab open, they billed us before hand without even trying to discuss. I would consider it giving negative stars. I would say most of the five star reviews for this restaurant are given by people related to restaurant or employees. read more

Food is mostly good. I prefer eating there verse getting it to go. If you get it to go, make sure you check your food. I order bhel puri, it was all separated and it didnt have enough gravy. Also one of the bhel puri (i bought 3), didnt have any onions in it. The menu doesn't have prices so you are forced to ask the lady at the register. The lady at the register, she is terrible at customer service. I always have to remind myself this when I order here because I do love the food so i keep coming back. read more

Very very bad service! The front desk girl can't manage people. Also the staff, not enough, neither timely response. I had ordered one toast in the end for to go and it took 35 mins while having NO CROWD! Hardly 4 tables and they can't serve you one thing ON TIME. Very bad management, miscommunications between the staff. Used to love this place before, but not anymore. The food we ordered for here was also very okay, before they had good food and taste. Everything was okay, AND WORSR SERVICE EVER!! Without any rush, without busy hours they can't serve you ON TIME !!!! Need to improve your staff! Been here twice now. The first time I had gotten the veg sandwich and I took me back to Bombay street food. The paneer quesadilla was also very flavorful. Husband got the pav bhaji and it was okay. He loved the pani puri though! I went back a month or so later and got the paneer sandwich and was left highly disappointed...It was oily, the bread was too dry and crunchy and it was just not a pleasant experience. They have such an extensive menu and I really want to go back to try more, but after my last experience I need some time to go back. Coming from Mumbai ourselves... we were pretty impressed. When we order vada pao & pav Bhabhi ... we expect the typical Mumbai taste & Flavor. Pao bhaji was just ok... but vada pao was really good. Their chat was good too. Egg chingari was awesome! We wanted rabdi jalebi.. but they were out of jalebi....So just ordered some other dessert which was just ok. We're in Frisco so it's a pretty long drive to Irving. But we might just go again to try their VAST menu! read more

One of my favorite types of Indian food is chaat. Basically it's like a type of roadside snack food in India. We don't get a lot of it in Oklahoma so when I go to Irving TX I hit this place up. I was born in the USA so I don't know what authentic Indian roadside food looks and tastes like. My husband was born and raised in Northern India and he swears the food here brings back memories of childhood. I sat amused watching him order more food than he could eat. He would tell me story after story of why he loved each food he ordered at this restaurant so much. I could tell he felt like he was in India again. This made me happy and for that Im thankful to this place for making food that is good. The things I didn't like about this place was how they take forever on some things they make. I felt that when I orderd the vada pav spicy it wasn't at all spicy. I had it once before about a year ago at this same place and it was very spicy. I dont know what changed but I wasn't into eating it non spicy. Also when we orderd the aloo parotha she said it didn't come with anything at all when we asked. So we ended up ordering a aditional curry that was very much uneeded. The parotha came with pickle and yogurt. Also she said the bhatura didn't come with anything so that was another reason we ordered extra curry. When we got the food it came with chole curry. I was a little irritated the lady didn't tell me an acurate depiction of what I was ordering. Other than that it was a good place. The salted lassi was thick and delicous. It had the spices perfectly done. The egg curry was piping hot with a big cinamon stick inside. It was yummy with the toast. The Dahi chaat was a little too watery but it was very good. Good food, especially the vada pav, egg burji and pav bhaji. No complaints about the food really and is the only reason we frequent this place. Service is extremely poor. The lady taking the orders is rude. There have been times when there is a huge line of people waiting to order food, but there is no one at the counter to take orders. Even when very few tables are occupied, they seem to get overwhelmed quite easily. Food arrives randomly and you end up waiting 30 minutes for something as simple as tea. read more

In the name of gulab jamun rabdi they are selling hard gulab jamun with rice pudding milk (which they call rabdi). Please don't waste your money on them as they think customer is foolish to not understand the difference between rabdi and rice pudding (phirni kind of texture). Their was no rabri in the gulab jamun. Change your dish name as gulab jamun with rice pudding. read more

Food was pretty good and reasonably priced as well. The theme for this restaurant is street food of Mumbai. You have to order the items upfront and pay at the cashier. When the food is ready, they will call your number. They have plenty of menu items with options for everyone. The restaurant does not serve meat (fish and chicken included), though they do have some items made of eggs. The chole puri and pani puri were very good and highly recommended. The aloo paratha was excellent, but the egg paratha was not all that great. Food comes out piping hot and is very good value. We will be back. read more

Heard a lot about this place but were disappointed after visiting. Ordered couple of chat items, pav bhaji and rabdi kulphi. Firstly, the portions are small as compared to the cost. Even the chat items are almost $8 each and not that great taste. Pav bhaji was no where close to Mumbai pav bhaji. Rabdi was just milk maid with little ice cream in it, for $7. It's a self serve restaurant. There is no table service. Ambience is good, but will not come back to this place for food. read more

I visited this place almost in the first 3 days it opened. It has come up a long way since the initial hiccups. The layout is still the same with open kitchen in center but the wall decor has improved a lot. Food choices have expanded. They now accept credit cards. We came in a light Sunday after noon and the place was lightly packed. We were hungry like hogs and ordered following things: Khasta Kachori ( without ragda) , chole poori, vada pav, sabudana khichadi and coffee. 1. Khasta Kachori (no ragda): One of the best kachoris you can have in the town. The mix of all chaat masala and sweet curd makes it a relishing delight. I personally dont like ragda since it overpowers any filling it. 2. Chole poori: Chole was little oily but it had good flavor. Definitely worth a try. 3. Vada pav: Almost the authentic Bombay smell you get when you take a bite and see the inside of the vada. Kudos to the chef. 4. Sabudana khichadi: A surprisingly mild entry to all the spicy gala we were having. It was little dry but the sweet curd was awesome. 5. Coffee: Great Indian style coffee. (pics uploaded) They have new items such as barf gola and others but didnt have room to try more. Will surely come back to check it. Stopped by here wanting a quick fix for Indian chaat. Ordered the following-masala dosa, paneer dosa, aloo subzi with puri, 2 Samosa chaats. Dosas-4.5 stars, masala-$8, paneer-$9: Both were delicious with enough stuffing. If you eat in-large, long traditional crispy dosas-you won't be disappointed. Didn't really care for the sambar-little too sour for my liking, green coconut chutney faired slightly better but the best chutney was the red one-gr8 flavor and spices. Aloo subzi with 2 puris-4.5 stars,$7: Packed with flavor-the subzi and the amount was generous. Samosa chaats-3 stars, $5: Samosas were good but the chole didn't have enough tamarind chutney flavor. Honestly was disappointed and was hoping for better. I got everything to go and they did a good job of packing everything. Everything was organized, labeled, and the kept liquid items separate from the fried irems-as to not get soggy-thank you! Prices are not labeled but what I ordered everything was less than $10. I visited this restaurant with my husband on a weekday. We ordered Grilled Club Sandwich, Jini Dosa , Paneer Tikka Pizza and Papdi Chaat. The chat was amazing! This place is great for Chat and sandwiches. The dosa was not upto the mark and was nothing like mumbai dosa however, the chaat and pizza/sandwich made up for it. their best dish is spicy vada paav. all other dishes are ok. stay away from jalebi rabari. jalebi is made in oil and very thick. There were two tiny pieces of terrible jalebi. rabari is made of heavy cream and tiny bit of pistachios added to it.
