The Mint Room in Bel Air is an absolute gem and easily home to one of the best Indian lunch buffets in Maryland. I have also been to their Hunt Valley location and both consistently deliver an outstanding experience. I visited on a Saturday afternoon for their lunch buffet which runs from 11am to 3pm and left beyond satisfied. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and conveniently located in a shopping plaza, making it easy to access with plenty of parking. Even though the buffet was decently packed when we arrived around noon, we were seated immediately. The buffet spread is impressively expansive, with 15 plus dishes available at any given time. Everything is refreshed frequently, so the food is always hot and inviting. It is the kind of buffet where you can actually sample everything in one visit without feeling rushed or disappointed by empty trays. Highlights for me included the fish curry, goat curry, biryani chicken, and the tikka style mushrooms, which were addictive. The spice level across the board leans mild to medium, making it approachable for all palates and appropriate for all ages, while still delivering plenty of flavor. It strikes a perfect balance between authenticity and accessibility. Service was also excellent. Each table is greeted with a carafe of mint infused water, which is a thoughtful and refreshing touch that sets the tone right away. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. At $20 per person, this may be the best dining deal in all of Bel Air. Between the quality, variety, and service, The Mint Room is an easy recommendation and a spot I will happily return to again and again.

The server asked if we wanted to order from the menu or the lunch buffet. I had no idea what was being served at the lunch buffet, but I knew for sure I wanted to taste the curry goat. The curry goat as an entree was $19.99, and the lunch buffet was $17.99. The server suggested that my husband and I try the buffet so we could taste everything, and that we order from the menu next time I visit. I'm so happy she suggested that. The menu itself was big and it had so many things to chose from . Now lets talk about this lunch buffet, but before I do that, let me share that, I shared with the server that I didn't want to go look at the buffet options because I didn't want to look at the food and others get the wrong idea, so she took the liberty of walking me to the buffet and showing me each item, detailing what it was and the flavor it encompassed, I can't express how much I appreciate her doing that. The buffet menu had so many great options, including chicken masala, curry goat, and so much more. The curry goat was my favorite, the meat was so tender and the flavors were infused perfectly. The rice, the noodles and every single item that I tasted, was absolutely delicious! The service was awesome, our server was attentive, courteous and very pleasant. The restaurant was well-kept and tidy.

Im not a buffet kind of person but I have taken part in this buffet previously when the doors open as I can see patrons visiting such. This has been my favorite AUTHENTIC HALAL Indian restaurant. Unfortunate for me its across town and with traffic could be almost 2 hour travel round trip. I ordered the tandoori chicken (mild) with spinach and an order of the vegetable samosas. While waiting I spoke about the items on the buffet menu to someone I was speaking with and to my surprise I was given a bowl of curry chickpea (I enjoyed in the past). The service and attentiveness has always been great. Today was no different. During my wait for my order to be prepared I was offered a beverage and my selection was cold water. My order came out within reasonable time and hot. The vegetable samosas did not stand a chance once I got into the car. They were with thw right crisp, authentic spices and mix of tasty potatoes and peas dipped into the "green" sauce. I then indulged in the curry chickpeas and as one could imagine they didnt stand a chance beyond the car. Most delish. Once I got home, my tandoori chicken after travelling in the mad ttaffic across town; food was still hot. The portion size is always enough for 2 meals for me. I plated my meal on to anotger plate and enjoyed every bite of the authentic dish with juicy tender grilled chicken and fresh sliced cucumbers, onions and carrots. Over rice. Prices, like everywhere else, has taken a hike. I use to pay $16-$18 for the tandoori meal and its $22 now. The samosas use to be $5 and I think they are $7. I knew in the past the lamb meal took a drastic jump increase in price and that strayed me from purchasing but the portions of would can be justified for some of the cost. I dont remember a bad experiece here. I definitely will continue visiting this establishment for my Indian cuisine fix.

This was highly recommended by one of the Indian guys I met at the CrossFit. It's a South Indian restaurant so they seem to have various options for dosa and other South Indian food. The name "Sangam," which means "meeting and getting along," evokes the spirit of mutual trust inspired by a classic Indian film of the same name. This romantic notion sets the stage for a delightful culinary experience. Upon entering, you might not find opulence, but the restaurant exudes a cool, neat vibe. The ambiance is unpretentious, with two diligent South Indian girls serving food with a warm smile, creating a welcoming environment. The menu is a treasure trove of South Indian dishes, many of which may seem unfamiliar, especially for those from a Punjabi or Pakistani background. Though the choices can be overwhelming, the restaurant is particularly renowned for its Masala Dosa--a must-try for any visitor. Here are some of our favorite selections: Sukha Goshat: A flavorful dish reminiscent of bhuna meat, prepared with an array of spices, served alongside naan or paratha--perfect for a satisfying meal. Biryani: Their biryanis are noteworthy, bursting with rich flavors that stand out. Appetizers: We often start with Chicken 65 or Fish Chilli. The tangy, spicy Chicken 65 has a unique flavor that distinguishes it from typical offerings at Indian restaurants. If you ever plan to visit Sangam, I'd love to join you for this delightful culinary adventure!
