Nothing fancy, but it hits the spot when I'm craving South Indian food. Reliable and satisfying.

I had lunch at Sangam Indian Cuisine last week. It's fairly near my office, and I was craving some Indian food and wanted to try a place I'd never been. Sangam serves South Indian food and offers a lot of flavors and dishes that can't be found on every Indian restaurant menu: appam, dosas, thalis, Chicken Chettinad, and more. They also have every other dish you might be craving: butter chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, saag paneer, Paneer Tikka Masala... I ordered a salt lassi and their egg thali. What a great lunch. I love the opportunity to enjoy a thali - an entire meal in one dish. If you haven't had the chance to enjoy a thali before, it's a round platter used to serve a complete meal in small dishes. It typically includes a grain, dal/lentils, vegetables, raita, a dessert, and more. Sangam offers five choices: veg, egg, chicken, goat, and fish. It's great, because you get to enjoy so many different dishes in one meal - like the best personal small plates meal. I loved my egg thali at Sangam. I also really enjoyed the salt lassi. The service was very good - friendly and helpful. They didn't seem busy when I arrived (two other tables), but they seemed to do a lot of takeout business! I wasn't able to tip using the credit card machine brought to the table, and I didn't have cash to tip - I felt awful. I'll double tip next time I visit! I really enjoyed myself and will definitely be back!

Chicken Chettinad with Malabar parothas were so good.

We've been coming here for a few years now and it never ceases to wow us. Love the authentic South Indian flavors of the dishes here. Great attentive service as usual. Fantastic serving sizes too.

Very good south Indian food. We had a lovely dinner here with excellent service in a very clean. Nice space, tucked away in a shopping mall. We had very good onion pakoda and very nice Kobe 65. We had delicious kadai vegetable. The star of the meal was a delicious crisp, thin masala dosa with three excellent sauces. We also had Dahl tadka that was a touch too salty. We had a really good time

The best south indian food in the Cockeysville area. Their service is very good. We frequent there for dosa, idli vada. Tried their mutton thali, the quantity is huge and tasty

Just discovered Sangam! Delicious food. Very nice staff and service. It's nice to finally find a really tasty Indian restaurant in the north Baltimore area! Definitely gonna come back.

The meen kulambu (fish curry) is 20/10- it tastes exactly like it would if you were in India. All the South Indian dishes are 10/10! Servers are always friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for authentic South Indian food

    Butter chicken

damn this was so good. had the butter chicken and garlic naan. this butter chicken didn't feel too heavy and it was a little sweet for a nice balance. i appreciate the lack of a meaty taste in the chicken. I usually avoid eating the chicken in this dish at other restaurants because they're overcooked and taste like they use 2-day old chicken. this chicken was tender and not that. got 2 orders (4pc each) of the garlic naan and still had enough butter chicken for the rice. service was nothing to write home about (it's just one person working the floor). food came out one order at a time, which can suck if your group isn't sharing their food, but it's not too long of a wait between. really liked the chairs, good lumbar support. i'm

Butter chicken (Chicken Makhani): tender Chicken Cooked in a Creamy, Buttery Tomato Gravy with Mild Spices. Smooth, Rich and Flavorful. $13.99 --- Jeremy, who can be pretty picky about... well everything... hogged this to himself. It looked and smelled delicious. I may have some of the leftovers tonight for dinner, if I'm lucky. Butter Chicken Pizza: A Rich and Savory Fusion Topped with Creamy Butter Chicken, Mozzarella Cheese and a Hint of Indian Spices on a Golden Baked Crust. $16.99+ --- WOW!!! just amazing. Great, crisp crust. Tender Chicken. A side cup of butter chicken sauce. This is the item that won my heart. Tandoori Shrimp: jumbo shrimps marinated with yogurt, ginger, garlic & Indian spice $18.99 --- delicious... we received two mystery sauces: one an herbaceous slightly spicy green, the other a dark purple with a flavor that reminded me of plums or raisins. I don't know if these were meant for the shrimp, but I really liked the flavor combination of the shrimp with the purple sauce. I only got one though, cuz Jeremy housed them before I could snag a second. Tandoori Chicken: Chicken on bone marinated overnight in yogurt & spice roasted in a tandoor a cylindrical oven $13.99 --- best tandoori chicken I have ever had in my life. So tender, not at all dried out, perfect char flavor. White rice spiced white clove.... didn't open them with the meal but looking forward to having them later. A really spectacular meal. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Mango Lassi: it's in the refrigerator along with there are 2 L sodas and water. Easily missed but good! - bumping up overall rating from three star to four star because of their mango lassi. Bindoo masala: too oily and not memorable wouldn't get again Overall, this was for me an intro to Indo-Chinese pizza. Owners are from Nepal. Knowing that, maybe would have focused on their Momo options. TLDR: Nothing was bad but also nothing left me wanting to come back, except their MANGO LASSI! Lassi was tasty!

For deeper explanation: The price was decent on the takeout menu that we got a few days prior, so we decided to give it a try. But when we called before driving over, we were misled about the selection, both regarding dietary restrictions and selection in general. And when we arrived, we were told the coupons were not valid not the complimentary drink, because those were old menus. But it was same flyer one of the staff gave me a couple days before and that they had at the front of the restaurant which I grabbed to double check pricing and deals... the fine print said was 2022, which I missed because why would I question that anyway if it was from the restaurant that same day. The food was mediocre... save for the samosas. The bathrooms were not great either, and in need of repairs. And when we went to pay it turned out the price per person was much higher than their flyer stated. There were no signs and no mention of the actual price, even with me carrying the flyer from their front area in with me. The price per person was similar to the Indian lunch buffets that I go to closer to my home, but those places have a much higher selection. The selection at India Palace was very small, which for the expected price was not great, but far worse for what the cost actually was (again, the flyers they hand out are the wrong price!). From start to finish, I feel it ended up being a waste of time and money, and left a very bad impression all around.

The décor and ambience of this restaurant is so serene and welcoming. As always, they start you off with a basket of Papadum (light crispy Indian wafers) and two dipping sauces. These are really delicious and a wonderful introduction to Indian food. Our foods started with an order of split Vegetable and Chicken Momo dumplings that were marinated in Nepali spices stuffed in flour wrapped and steamed and served with a special chutney. For our friends' main course, they split a Chicken Tikka Masala, which was boneless white meat chicken cooked with onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers. They also ordered Naan - the traditional unleavened white bread. My husband had his favorite, the Tandoori Shrimp. It was a very generous portion of jumbo shrimp marinated in an herb mixture and delicately broiled in our tandoori clay oven served with mixed vegetables. This came out sizzling. Our group of six went to Hyderabad Stories in Cockeysville planning to dive into their lunch buffet, only to find out they no longer offer it. Since we were already there and hungry, we decided to stick around and order from the regular menu and honestly, it worked out just fine. The space used to be San Sushi before the owner retired, and the interior layout is pretty much the same. It is simple and perfectly serviceable for small to medium groups. When we visited, we were actually the only occupied table, which made for a quiet and relaxed lunch. Since there was no official buffet, we decided to make our own by ordering a half dozen dishes to share. We went with a variety of curries, multiple biryanis, butter chicken, samosas, and plenty of naan for the table. Everything came out at a great pace and the service was very friendly and efficient throughout. The curries were the highlight for me. Some were dialed up with extra heat for the spice lovers at the table, while others were milder, but all of them were packed with flavor and tasted fresh. The biryanis were also excellent, with generous portions of both lamb and chicken. No skimping on the protein here. Pricing was reasonable, and when we split the bill it came out to about what each of us would typically spend at an Indian lunch buffet anyway. Overall, even without the buffet option, Hyderabad Stories is a great Indian food choice in the area and definitely worth checking out if you are craving flavorful curries and solid biryani.
