I absolutely LOVE Bombay grill and have been going to the Boise location for years. The Meridian location is much smaller and WILL get packed during the lunch buffet on weekends. Due to size it's definitely not got the same ambience as the Boise one but I do not pay attention to that when the food is so GOOD! I've gone multiple times now and although the servers are still a little lacking in keeping waters up or taking naan orders I have no complaints! Everyone is learning the flow of the new location still. Food is always fresh and delicious, Naan is now either plain or garlic! Visiting Bombay Grill has been on my to-do list for a some time and I always love it when a plan comes together. Bombay Grill took over the spot from LeanFeast who took it over from Cricket Wireless. Yeah - I keep track this type of info. Fatima directed us to a table and my wife and Mom and bird's eye view of the kitchen while I enjoyed the beautifully drawn murals on the wall. Bombay Grill offers a lunch buffet from 11am - 2pm then reopens at 5pm The menu is a loaded Tuk tuk of deliciousness. Whether you are a vegetarian, vegan, or enjoy chicken and lamb, there's mouth watering options in all corners of the menu. My wife ordered Chicken Vindaloo, my Mom ordered Chicken Curry and I ordered one of several vegan dishes - Bayngan Bhartha - Spice level hot. Let me tell you about the Bayngan Bhartha. Fresh whole eggplants that are skewered and partially cooked in the tandoor oven then they are removed, chopped and mixed with tomatoes, onions and aromatic spices. Served with basmati rice. I chose spice level Hot. I was very tempted to order Indian Spicy and will do so on my next visit. The Bayngan Bhartha was beautifully prepared and brought the flavors as well as the heat. I very much enjoyed the Bayngan Bhartha thoroughly. We ordered one Naan regular and one Naan garlic. Both were gone before the check came. The owner stopped by and gave my wife a very nice sized helping of Butter Chicken. She was hesitant at first but reassured her she was going to love it. She did! Fatima was very attentive and refilled waters, checked on our meals and how everything tasted Very thankful to have Bombay Grill in my neighborhood and even more grateful to be treated like family on the first visit. read more

The lunch buffet is a great deal. Run to this place for lunch, as I am guessing it will be very busy soon. There isn't a ton of seating and if this place is busy you'll wait. This was our first time at their Meridian location. I had several things from their buffet- all fantastic. It's a great way to try all the delicious choices! I met my adult son here for lunch today. It was our first time & it was SO good! We actually didn't know it was a buffet until we walked in! (I looked up Indian restaurants near me, saw good ratings, & went!) I love how most of the foods in the buffet are labeled with descriptions, which is helpful. Every dish I tried (probably 10) was delicious! The naan was yummy too! And the servers were incredibly kind & gracious! Amazing food & owners/employees! We'll definitely be back!! read more

My husband was raised in India and has enjoyed Indian food from all over the United States and England. This was the most HORRIBLE scam of Indian food ever. The butter chicken was bright pink. It was very watery and tasted like Ketchup watered down with a splash of mild and a large amount of sugar. It was disgusting! The somas were dripping in grease. The Vindalo had. tolerable flavor but was also very watery. Our son ate it anyway because he was so hungry but ended up with a horrid stomach ache that night and through the next day. They charged us $95 for food that was inedible. I would post a picture but my husband said it wasn't worth it. read more

I thought long and hard about what kind of rating I wanted to give this place. Let me explain- so I've never been to the downtown location, but have always wanted to. So when I heard this had just opened I was STOKED. I hadn't been thinking about it this weekend, but yesterday my husband out of nowhere goes, "I'm craving Indian, is there anywhere we can order from?" YES Bombay Grill just opened, let's order from there!! We ordered the chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and vegetable pakora; the chicken dishes said in the description they were supposed to come with rice. Well... no rice with either dish. Thank goodness we had some Jasmine rice at home to substitute, but seriously such a let down. I'll also note that they deliver in a brown paper bag which was not sealed, though I didn't necessarily get an indication looking at the bag that the doordasher may have taken it... Missing the rice aside, the food was truly PHENOMENAL. The portion sizes were just enough to keep us fed the rest of the day, and the pakora was perfectly breaded and seasoned. I'm sure we'll be making a stop to eat inside very soon!! read more

I am not an Indian food lover but the Bombay Grill's lunch buffet might just change that. So many choices meat, vegetables and dessert dishes and all delicious. The buffet is all you can eat for $19.95 which I think may be a little expensive for lunch customers. Only one other table of two was there the entire time. read more

Finally found a place to get an Indian food fix in Meridian. I will confess that I don't know much about Indian cuisine, but I know what looks good with their buffet everything looks great! While the place is a bit on the small size, they can handle a large appetite. Service is just as good as their food. read more

Everything I have had here has been excellent. It's a little spendy but the amount of food you get it's fair. Goat curry is excellent, lamb curry is excellent, chicken tikka masala is excellent. Could turn the music down a bit it's sometimes too loud in there. read more

My son loves Indian food and this definitely hits the spot for him! We've gone there twice during lunch and like how they sort of have different dishes - minus their signature ones like tikki masala, butter chicken, etc. My favorite thing there is definitely the garlic naan - I would go there just for that. It's a nice clean restaurant in a strip mall area on Eagle Rd, with friendly and excellent service. Not very large, but adequate for small groups. The lunch buffet is a good price, and the food is plentiful, with a good selection of meat and vegetable options. Naan comes with the food, and the garlic naan is excellent. The food is very similar to the Bombay Grill in downtown Boise, but lacked some heat, spices, and stronger flavors that I prefer, and the tandoori chicken was pretty dry. Maybe they can find a way to accommodate people who like more intense Indian food. The mango lassi is also very good. Give this new location a try, I think it is very reasonable. read more

New location for them in addition to downtown. Same great food in both locations with plenty of naan supplied with meal. We come for Sunday Brunch so we can try different dishes. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Decor is minimal for now while getting established. Accommodation was quickly made for our party of eight. A good experience for our whole party. read more
