First time visiting this place and the food was outstanding. I love lamb and it was perfectly cooked. Fantastic Service truly authentic Indian food. Beautifully decorated will absolutely go back again. They are opening up a second location and Ocoee. Highly recommend.

Leftovers today: I added lettuce to balance out the richness and deliciousness of the Chicken Masala dish!

You could tell the authenticity and higher end atmosphere immediately from the professional phone conversation when I ordered (sincere, not rushing me, and very polite) and also upon walking in. Very classy and locals and Indian guests let you know it's good and for real. The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I can't tolerate spicy anymore and the mild was tasty. White meat chicken and fresh cream made it decadent. Next morning my arteries felt the heaviness so proceed with caution! Next day I put the leftovers on a bed of greens which made it more heart healthy. I suggest you try Bombay Social! I see why it has such high ratings and I give it 5 stars too.

Highly recommend!!! I tried Bombay Social for the first time yesterday and couldn't not leave a review as I was highly impressed! I started with Vegetable Samosas which came out quick and piping hot, perfectly golden and crispy, the filling was perfectly seasoned, just the right spice level and paired well with the chutneys that came with it. I tried the Nawabi Chicken and it too, was amazing, I won't even describe it, just try it, it's delicious! First time having this dish and I loved it! 10/10 And of course, the Garlic Naan bread is a must have! Perfect for scooping up the Nawabi chicken! The staff and I believe the owner, were very friendly and welcoming and gave me some great recommendations, top notch service! I fully intend to return often and try many more dishes that I'm positive will not disappoint!!! Prices are super reasonable for the quality and quantity, I ate twice off one entree, really over ate twice cause my mouth didn't want to stop eating! Don't sleep on Bombay Social!!!!

Fantastic new addition to the Longwood / Hunt Club area. Walking in the setup and ascetics is really well put together. We were greeted right away and our server continuously kept on checking on us for refills or if we needed anything else. The food was exceptional, tasty, had the right amount of spice and perfect quantity. Try the chilli chicken for an appetizer, wont be disappointed.

The ambiance is just okay--nothing particularly special--and it was noticeably warm inside. With Indian food already being on the spicier side, a cooler temperature would definitely make the dining experience more comfortable. We ordered the rogan josh, palak chaat, samosas, chicken biryani, Jaipur dosa, garlic naan, and a few drinks. Service started off a bit slow--we waited a while for our drinks--but once things got going, the food came out fairly quickly. One thing I really appreciated was the variety of chutneys served with the appetizers. That was a great touch, especially since many places tend to be pretty minimal with those. Everything we ordered tasted really good, and you can tell the flavors were well done. See photos below. Our total came to $105 for everything, which felt reasonable for the amount of food we got. Overall, the food is definitely worth it. Next time, though, we'll probably go with takeout to skip the wait and enjoy it at home.

Ambiance is nice. Good lighting, classy looking tables, some nice, chill Indian music playing softly in the background. Good stuff. Service was good. Our server was very friendly and did his best to answer our questions. We needed some allergy friendly food, and there were a few questions where he just didn't know and made a best guest. That's fair, I guess, but that just needs to be better. Food came out timely and nice and hot, the tandoori chicken sizzling up a storm. Now for the food. I started off by getting a Vegetarian Special Appetizer (A combination platter with samosa, aloo tikki, onion bhajiya, mixed pakoras and chili pakoras) for the table. These are always fun, because you don't always know what you're eating. Samosas are always wonderful, and the onion bhajiya is like a better latke. Get this if you like to sample things. Then I had a Lamb Biryani (Lamb and basmati rice cooked with saffron and spices, garnished with cilantro, nuts and raisins). If you're a biryani fan, I'd probably pass on this one. Not a great example of biryani. Very little saffron and other garnishes. There are other great things on this menu. Of course, I had to get some Garlic Naan (Light bread made with fresh garlic, herbs and cilantro). A+ delicious. Light, rippable, soft, garlicky, good for grabbing food like you don't have silverware and adding flavor and texture to every bite. The Chicken Tandoori (Chicken marinated overnight in yogurt with fresh Indian spices and grilled in a clay oven) came out last and on its own, sizzling like the center of attention like a steak fajita. Chicken was well-cooked and very tender. Lots of good flavor, but maybe a little too salty. Overall, this was a very good introduction to Indian food for a few of my co-workers. I'm glad we came. It was a nice visit.

I will say be cautious with spice because it comes with the heat - but also tons of flavor. My favorites dishes are the Lamb Biryani and the Chicken Tikka. The rice is so fluffy and delicious too! The staff were very friendly and the smell of the lunch buffet was amazing!! It's a simple restaurant with a lot of authentic flavor that hits the spot, every time.

For our appetizer order, I started to say we want the platter but she knew before I even said it. Haha. Must be a popular dish. I had seen it in reviews - looked like it comes with many items! We cut everything up so we could all get one bite of everything; a couple items had two or three whole pieces so we each got a few bites. The sauces are extra charge but definitely get them. The chutney is so good and whatever that spicy brown sauce is, is really good. I ordered for the table- shrimp korma, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, palak paneer, aloo Gobhi, lamb kadai, dal makhani, garlic naan, garlic cheese naan and paratha. It was a lot of food!! The dishes came with basmati rice. It was so much rice, our server didn't bring it all- instead she packed it up to go for us from the start. In the end, we finished nothing. We split the left overs- they brought us two containers for each curry so we didn't have to mix anything. And we got styrofoam containers for the breads and rice, and our to go rice as well. We shared the mango mousse cake- very nice, not too sweet, definitely mousse consistency. We sat and talked throughout the dinner. They had quite a few other tables so our server was running around. She kept apologizing to us but we were in no hurry. It was fine. We enjoyed our time. This place is good. We also like Mynt, Tamarind and Jala. I would say the prices here are better than Jala and on par with Tamarind. We do not like Tamara in Lake Mary - expensive and not that good. We would definitely come back here. Service is good, food is great, prices are reasonable and there's a lot of paneer and meats in the curries. A lot. A lot more than most places. And you can avoid the traffic and bad parking situation of winter park. I would recommend this place. Parking is plentiful. I did not use the restroom so I can't speak on that. They have some music playing which can be a little loud. Restaurant was clean. They were very responsive by phone when we typed the address in wrong and got lost. Oops. Haha. They do have a big sign that you can't miss. Go and enjoy!!

Inside, the place is really nice, almost formal. Dark dining room with nice tables and booths. Cool artwork and lamps. Service was very interesting. Our host, maybe owner(?) was super chatty. I prefer service to be get and get out promptly but she was recommending items, asking questions, and determining herself what we really wanted. Hey, maybe some people really like that to get a great experience. I found it a bit much but she was super nice. We got the veggies platter appetizer which was fantastic. The server really pushed the lamb samosas which were fine but I should have passed. And for entrees we got butter chicken, tikka masala veggies, and shrimp korma with garlic naan and a fantastic plate of basmati rice. The meal was great! The sauces/gravies were so delicious. And honestly, some of the best basmati around. Come for the food! Definitely recommend this place. And for Amex users, a great credit as well. Definitely worth it.

For my appetizer, I had the Dragon Chicken, which was SO good and a surprisingly large portion! Definitely a standout and easily big enough to share. For my entrée, I chose the Chicken Tikka Masala. The sauce was delicious, rich, flavorful, and especially good soaked up with the naan. I did wish there was a little more chicken in the dish, and for the regular menu price I would expect the portion to be larger. That said, I really liked that the entrée came with both white rice and naan, and the naan was excellent. For dessert, I tried the Ras Malai. I didn't realize when ordering that it is made with cottage cheese, and unfortunately the texture just wasn't for me. That's definitely more of a personal preference than anything! I would have loved to see something like their lava cake offered as one of the Magical Dining dessert choices for another option. Service was really good throughout our dinner. We were celebrating a birthday and they made it feel special, which we really appreciated. At the end of the meal, they brought us plenty of to-go containers and even offered us additional rice and naan to take home, which was such a nice touch. Overall, Magical Dining was a great way to try Jala. Beautiful atmosphere, attentive service, really flavorful food, and that Dragon Chicken is definitely something I would order again!

Before we were seated, I placed the order for the table, which definitely helped. The papadam was freshly fried and tasted good, but it was a little oily. The gobi Manchurian lacked crispness and could have used more sauce. The paneer makhani had a strong elaichi flavor, but they were generous with both the paneer and the sauce.
