We were heading to Chesapeake bay and stopped at Bombay Tadka for dinner. It is a small cozy restaurant that seems to be the only Indian restaurant in the neighborhood. We ordered palak chat for appetizers. It was fresh, crispy and the sauces were on point. For main course, got butter chicken and shrimp moilee. Both were tasty. First trip for takeaway. Really good naan! Which is surprisingly hard to find at Indian joints in the area. Really good tikka masala and butter chicken. Asked for it very mild since it was our first trip - that was too mild. Next time we'll try medium or maybe even spicy! Chicken breast on both dishes was juicy and perfectly sized. As someone who has spent a great deal of time in Manchester, I'll say with certainty, Bombay Tadka ranks as EXCELLENT. I don't know what food Erlesha thinks she had, but I'm guessing she's reviewed the wrong restaurant, or she has a bee in her bonnet over something. Our visit started with friendly and outgoing service, and it went uphill from there. Flavor in the curries was very well developed and had great depth. The meat, especially lamb, was butter soft and rates as some of the best I've been served. Vindaloo, Kolhapuri, and Chettinad dishes were delicious. The garlic nan was superb. Palak Chaat (Crispy spinach with date & yogurt sauce) was new to me, recommended by our server, and surprising and wonderful, and I could eat the Onion Pakoda all day long. Portion sizes were significantly bigger than what I've come to expect in most Indian places. We ordered sides of mango chutney and raita, which seemed like half a jar each. My friend took me to this restaurant and It's fantastic!!! We come here as much as we can since he is vegan and they have plenty of selections for anyone. The owner is super friendly and very welcoming. This place is very clean and it has a great atmosphere. My go to lunch is the "Chicken Manchurian, Mango Chutney and their delicious cheese naan bread", You can never go wrong with that! Felt adventurous today and deviated from my go-to Butter chicken or chicken tikka masala; I got Chicken Chettinad per host recommendation. It was good; I would order again. Instead of Naan, the host also recommended that I get Paneer Kulcha, off menu; they had a special going when I visited. Think Naan that has butter, cilantro, and cheese inside; the cheese was described as "Indian cottage cheese". Very good, hope they add it to the menu. The ambiance was really nice. The restaurant was half full on a Tuesday night, but I saw a lot of to-go orders go out the door. The host was also serving all the tables, not sure if they were short staffed. Regardless, my food came out pretty quickly and was taken care of throughout dinner. I had to wave to get the host's attention a few times, but he got me what I needed quickly. Great food. I had the tikki masala and my boyfriend had the butter chicken. The sauce was so good, you can tell someone knows their spices very well. The chicken was bit dry though. My only complaint is that they don't know how to make iced tea. It was just brown water. But hey that's not the worst thing. Overall good experience. read more

This spot was recommended by a neighbor who frequents this place with his wife. They said this was authentic and it was good. Unfortunately, I have had better in other parts of Maryland and especially in DC. The staff and ambiance were okay. They were on a skeleton crew and it was small inside. We always order for take out and it has been excellent. Recently we ate in the restaurant and it was even better! The food was delicious (we loved the butter chicken and aloo gobi!) and then they brought us a carrot pudding for my son's birthday which was such a lovely touch. This is a hidden gem not known to many prob cuz of the location. The food was amazing and it wasn't expensive. Gobi Manchurian(sweet and spicy cauliflower) is a must! Vindaloo chicken was tasty and not too spicy. Chettinad Lamb curry was buttery and flavorful. I have lived in the area for about 2 years, moving here from Philadelphia where we had a number of good Indian food choices. That hasn't been the same on the Eastern Shore I found 1 that I liked but didn't appreciate their personality so rarely go there. After I found Bombay Tadka I think I found our new go to Indian restaurant. The choices of styles of food were greater than any other Indian restaurant I have been to.
