I went during lunch hours. Some foods that were available were bourbon chicken, fried rice, lo mein, wonton soup, chicken wings, chicken broccoli. (Just to name a few) Seafood and steak is available only during dinner time. I think there is also sushi. I have to update soon! :) Service was really quick. As soon as you are seated the server takes your drink orders and then off you go to eat :) Note: once you have dessert that is when the server comes with the check. There is a lot of seating inside. Daughter and I needed to take a break during a drive back home, and we ended up here. Hoping such a situation will arise again on our trips to see family and the beach, as we loved the food, particularly the green beans. They were crisp, cooked in garlic, and done as well or better (also, in a healthier manner) than any of the authentic Chinese restaurants we normally visit in Ellicott City or Fairfax, VA. As for other food, my favorite Chinese-American staples (lo mein, General Tso's, bourbon chicken, honey chicken) were all extremely tasty, and the fried rice a little better than the ones normally to be had at a buffet. The spicy shrimp dish seemed a concoction the restaurant dreamed up; like the green bean dish, it was very fresh and enjoyable. I wasn't crazy about the egg foo young (tried it because I forgot all about the dish; it's one my dad used to order), and I didn't like the egg rolls, and I didn't yet try their soups, but neither daughter nor I view this as a typical Chinese buffet restaurant. Of maybe 8 dishes sampled, there were at least 5 I would have been thrilled with as a single entree too, and at least 2 my daughter's Chinese mom would have been impressed by. The hot tea, furthermore, tasted as good as if one just brewed it at home, more proof to me that this is a buffet restaurant that genuinely tries to please (and succeeds). read more

To be honest I've never had a bad experience here. I've gone at least 30 times throughout my life but the food is pretty good. I ordered fried dumplings & shrimp egg foo yong. It was TERRIBLE!!! The fried dumplings were soggy, greasy, & falling apart. The egg foo yong was greasy, shrimp was way overcooked, & gravy tasted like it had Old Bay in it! NEVER going back! I live in Preston & when I called to tell them how disappointed I was he said if I brought the food back in he would replace it or refund my $! How ridiculous is that! I don't even plan on going back to Easton for a couple days!! I'm certainly not saving this disgusting food until then, & then carrying back in there! I've been going here for years and it's been fine, but now all of a sudden the last two times that I've been here I have had my business turned down. The first time was a year or so ago and the guy who runs the place said 'we have no pork' and shewed me away. I've not been there since until today. Now, this time [the second time in a row that I've been turned down] he said 'we're too busy for carryout orders. Only buffett' and he tends to sound like a drill sargent when he says it. So this place has the positive that I didn't get sick after eating here. But other than that, I paid way too much for mediocre food. It wasn't even the sort of decent divey Chinese buffet I'm up for sometimes. It was just cold, sub-par food that cost something like 12 dollars a person. Nope. Not going back. As far as Chinese buffets go, this place is pretty good, and definitely the best in the area. According to a plaque on the wall, it was voted in the top 100 Chinese buffets in 2007. Their selection is fairly standard, but is generally not too fresh by the late hours of the evening. We went for lunch once around 11:30 on a Thursday, and the selection was much more fresh! Ate here last spring and it was terrible. I will start with the good. The waitress was courteous and kept our table clean of plates. Huge selection of food including quite a lot of seafood. The bad: Everything was dried out or soggy (any noodle dish). The food had been sitting out for hours in order for it to get like that. WOW! Best Hot and Sour Soup I have EVER had and the crab rangoons stayed crunchy all the way home! This is my first meal with these folks but I can guarantee I shall return! You need to take China Buffet for what it is, a small buffet restaurant in a small town. That being said, it was fine. The food is average, nothing horrible, nothing super fantastic. The variety is somewhat limited, but that was expected. Favorites include: steamed dumplings, sushi, and green beans. Not so hot: egg rolls, General Tso's chicken, steamed wontons. The new atmosphere is nice enough, the service is good. The buffet itself is 90% fried and or greasy or covered with a fatty sauce or cheese. This one seems to really cater to the average American on the 'SAD' or 'Standard American Diet'- the 'deserts' are your standards from CISCO I'm sure-nothing made there. The lettuce on the salad/fruit bar is head lettuce. They do have someone who will cook food to order and do have a pretty decent sushi selection. The foods freshness can vary throughout the day as others have stated. I don't go there as a rule accept when I'm with my son who swears the one's in Dover are much much better. Mongolian beef was crispy and not oily...green beans fresh, crisp and garlicky. ..honey chicken was all white meat, not pieces, steamed dumplings were soft and full of flavor....egg foo young was likely the best I have had with fresh crunchy veggies, fluffy egg and NOT oily. My husband had awesome yellow curry noodles. Two people under $20! What a deal. We will be back when in st. Michaels...and dont forget the sinful ending, soft serve and traditional sugar donut. This place is probably one of the best Chinese buffets I've been to. And I've been to a lot. They have a nice variety of foods to choose from, including a hibachi station and sushi. Make sure you get a sugared donut for dessert! They keep drinks full, are friendly and attentive, refill empty buffet pans often. They are very accommodating for bigger groups too. read more

Rude beyond anything we have ever experienced! Lady (tongue in cheek) that seated us was rude as well as our server. When complaining to the cashier upon leaving, she was actually laughing at us saying that "yes she knew they were rude". Table staff is friendly but there are a couple that work the counter that should at least try to smile or be friendly. I've been a customer for years and this is about my only complaint. I wish I hadn't eaten at this place. The food was not fresh and there was a COMPLETELY MOLDED over container of food in the buffet. There is a lack of quality control and concern about the freshness of food in the evening/morning. The manager offered to give me a 10% discount on my unfinished meal.
