My haircut turned out okay, but I almost always think a haircut turns out good or great. I went back again today because I like the Old Town Tomball location. Alas, I was a few minutes late, my fault. Once again, it was a super fast hair cut. It was then I realized: this salon overbooks. They only allow 45 mins for a shampoo, haircut and blow dry. I was promptly kicked out of my chair at 43 mins into the appointment with halfway wet hair. Very bizarre. I guess when I think of the "salon" experience, I don't think of speed. Again, partially my fault this time since I arrived a bit late, but I still think there are major flaws in their scheduling and quality. At the time, I was traveling for work and coordinating appointments through my sister, who was calling multiple salons on my behalf while I was in transit. However, that was never the point. My concern was the lack of flexibility and customer care shown throughout the situation. Businesses have every right to enforce their policies. Customers also have every right to decide whether they feel valued when something goes wrong. Frankly, I found the owner's response far more concerning than the original dispute itself. The decision to publicly disclose extensive details about my appointment history, billing dispute, consultation, and private interactions felt unnecessarily personal, deeply unprofessional, and completely inappropriate for a public business review. Original Review: I understand salons have cancellation and no-show policies, and I accepted responsibility for missing a same-day appointment due to an unexpected work obligation.
